I went in for the first time and will not be going back. It was absolutely heartbreaking. Their “puppies” in the kennels in the back of the store are not puppies, they are miniature dogs that are improperly bred. They had actually puppies up front and when i asked how old they were, both employees said they didn’t know. EVERYTHING is over priced and it’s just extremely sad to see how they are mislabeling these animals and marketing them as puppies when they are full grown. The two dogs in the back were “purebred miniatures” and they were going for 1.7K!!!! I was recently going to buy a legitimate pure bred golden retriever for less than that. please do not continue shopping here.adding more to this review because most of these reviews are false and written by employees. idk how to make it more clear. DO NOT go to this store. they get their “puppies” from puppy mills, the employees are all brats, their “puppies” are full grown improperly bred miniature dogs, overpriced materials when you can get literally the same thing at walmart for waaaay cheaper. whole place is a front and a money scheme. idk how they are still in business. TO THE OWNERS: do better and stop abusing these animals. do better and stop overcharging your pet supplies. figure out how to run a business the correct way without exploiting others and these animals. it’s embarrassing. good luck trying to get rid of my review because i will keep coming back to spread the truth.

My wife was really interested in having a shih-tzu puppy. After searching around and checking out several breeders, she saw one in a litter here back in December that she fell in love with! Did some further research on their puppies and then decided to go for it! George has been amazing! But, 5 months later, George needed a friend... So, along came Walter! Again, absolutely love our decision to expand our family through the Faribault Animal Center?They are both amazing dogs, who are perfectly healthy, and have a wonderful demeanor for this breed! Now will someone please tell her to stop expanding our family! LOL

My friends work at the Faribault Animal Center! I have 30 BUNNIES! It is a small 🐰 rabbitry compared to most rabbit people!! They are there for me when I lose a pet and I am heart ♥ broken!! It works BEST for me when I replace a bunny right away with a new one. It is VERY HARD saying GOODBYE to the one that I have lost though. Critical Care is a product that is Hard to find for sick bunnies and they seem to have that as well!!! The store is spotless!

Very friendly staff! I brought my extremely shy, timid rescue cat here to be groomed yesterday. I was nervous, as she has never been groomed or handled by someone else. The groomer (Jan) was so nice. Seemed very patient and understood why I was a little nervous for my cat. And she didn't tell me to never bring her back, so I think my cat must have behaved for the most part :) Very reasonably priced too!

We go to this shop for almost all of our pet care needs. The team is like a family and treats you just as you would like to be treated in any normal store. Never have I heard a rude comment from any one of the team members unless someone was being down right awful to them and even then they only asked them to leave. Perfect place when looking for a family pet!

We adopted our beautiful puppy from the Faribault Animal Center. The staff are pleasant and accommodating. Their puppies are very well taken care of and the store is as clean a pet store that anyone could imagine in their wildest dreams ~ sparkling clean and their puppies and kittens are happy and healthy! I would definitely adopt a new baby from this store. They are an asset to Faribault.

Puppies come from Iowa and breeder # not answered! I was told on phone my dogs weight expected, but later when reading papers she is twice that weight. Parents were larger ten told. She is hyper, bites and not potty training. I called to get answers and was told unless it’s a physical problem they couldn’t help. They told me the breeder never had issues😡Tried trainers no luck. Tried to regime 3 times and got her back . Please do background breeder research! Very disappointed to say the least

We had just adopted a puppy we didnt expect to get so soon. They were right there helping me find everything I needed from food to things our puppy could chew on. We had some problems at the register and were unable to get what we needed that day. They set us up with food and treats and held our things for us until the next day! That sealed the deal for us and will definetly have our business from now on!

Been here on 3 separate occasions and each time there was some weak excuse why they could not let us see the animals. Will not be returning, the customer service is just far too poor.-Joyce, my review stands. You may have some well thought out reasons after the fact about why the animals could not be taken out of their cages but in person your excuses were weak (Ex: "I just put them back there" "they just ate"). Furthermore I understand the animals need rest, that is why my review focuses on the customer service. During my first visit when I was denied to see the animals I was told to come again around 1 pm as that is when they are playing in the pin. I came back at this time twice and that was not the case both times. The animals being on a schedule is good but potential customers should be given ACCURATE information about this schedule but instead all this store advertises is that it has animals and to stop in and see them. My review was honest, my perception of faribault animal center is that the customer service is poor and not worth returning; and you are right, you can't please everyone, especially when you refuse to communicate until after you have already lost a customer. To any one considering going to this business, as you can see they are not all bad, but I would urge you to go elsewhere where your time will be respected and communication is more open.

Small store, small selection, but it seems to be all carefully chosen merchandise. They do have hamsters and beta fish, a couple cats.. But not much else in the way of actual animals

Sells puppies from Valley View Kennels, also known as A Maze'n Farmyard, a known puppy mill that has been found in violation of multiple USDA standards. Adopt, do not buy from a store, do not buy from anyone that won't show you the dog's parents.

Very friendly and easy to shop but we bought a parakeet and the flight wings are cut too short and I'm worried he may never fly again.
