Katie K. Has a Facebook page that says free animals. Minnesota. She does not manage it well and she yells at people if we alert that there are scammers on there that are asking people for money. She does not care of people do the wrong thing and that's not okay in this kind of job.

I adopted Bubba at the beginning of December. I wanted him the moment I saw his picture and then got to meet him in person. As you can see from the pictures he's made himself very comfortable in my house! He and my older cat are getting along well. The tub picture I call Tub Wars. For some reason Bubba loves the bath tub! The people at the Martin County Humane Society are wonderful!!! They all seem to be caring folks hoping to find Forever homes for the animals entrusted to them. They do careful/thorough research and keep great records. Thankyou all for letting Bubba into our lives!!

We got a very nice dog from there. I didn't really have much interaction with the staff but what I heard it was all good. The dog did have fleas. I just wish they would have told us before bringing it home. Thank goodness we have hard wood floors

Handicap INACCESSIBLEThe volunteers at this facility are always parked in the wheelchair unloading area. They say “just come on and tell us to move!” It’s not possible to come in to ask them to move because we can’t unload our wheelchairs to come in!If you have stability issues, use a cane or a walker the parking lot is also unsafe. It’s all gravel. Hallways and entrances are often blocked with items making passing with a wheelchair through them impossible.The refrain at this place is always “just ask”! We should not have to ask for our legal rights. Imagine if at every place you went in a day you had to ask to get in the door, get a bathroom to use, the ability to park anywhere, etc.There are plenty of other humane societies in the area.

We drove 75miles to adopt a kitten after passing the background check and ended up with two kittens. This facility is small and filled with many pets for loving homes. They were patient with our search and helped to match us based on our conversations about what we were looking to bring home for our family that already had a dog and cat.

I just recently adopted my pup through here. They were quick to process the application and get back to me on my approval status. She had an infection which they offered to keep her until it cleared or let me pick her up right away. Everyone was so friendly during pick up and I got to find my furever friend 🙂

We found our beautiful Labrador Retriever Olivia on the Internet . We drove 140 miles to meet and greet at the Martin County Humane Society. We decided then and there that we would like to adopt her. I was so pleased that they did an extensive investigation before we were allowed to bring her home. They checked our references and had us fill out a lengthy adoption form. I am so happy they cared so much about the pets at their shelter. They also made sure she was in excellent health and had been spayed before we adopted her. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wanted to adopt a pet. Olivia has been a wonderful friend and we love her so much. Thank you MCHS!!

refused to give my dog Leonard back. the owner wanted me to take him if anything happen to the owner. this place would not give me Leonard when I found out what happen to the owner. no passion or care just money. if your dog is found and not picked up this place will adopted them out and not change their minds. greedy unsympathetic bunch. don't adopted from them. this will not end. give me back my dog!

They are a wonderful caring facility. And i want to thank them for taking my baby. I am grateful they are giving him a chance to find a new furever family!!! This was the hardest thing to do and they were so sweet, caring and very compassionate!!!

Clean and the the animals are always treated very good! They get to go out and play. And all the handlers are animal lovers. It's a WONDERFUL memorial for Carl Nettifee! I know he'd approve of this place!

Beautiful, sweet, and "need GOOD home" animals as well as an exceptional staff... and volunteers. The woman that manages here does a very thorough background check before every adoptiin, making sure that the critters go only to stable and healthy homes.

I found a stray dog in pretty bad shape; called them and was told to being it in. The ladies quickly assessed the dog and took him to the immediately! I would highly recommend this Humane Society for getting a new pet, going to them for help with a pet you own an may need assistance with. These women were very knowledgeable an did not hesitate to help me.

Please adopt. I've had two rescues and both were great bird dogs. With some time and training anything is possible. These dogs just need love and consistency.

Don’t recommend going here…I called ahead after filling out application and they told me I could bring my kids in to see dog then when I got there lady was rude and judging me saying I was not a good pet owner without calling my vet or references I just lost my dog of 13 years….she then told me I was denied in front of my kids telling us we could not look at any of the dogs they were hurt…..I wasted my time and gas just for her to be rude in my face and in front of my children.

I love coming to this humane society! The staff are all very knowledgeable about what is going on with the animals and will answer any questions that you have. This is a no kill shelter which is why I keep going back ☺️
