Feb 2024We live in Embarrass when we had to do a small trip out of Virginia and decided to try Boomtown for the first time for a Saturday lunch. Our waitress, Angie, was amazing and comp'ed us on the bartender and some of the kitchen's mistakes.Kitchen: I enjoyed my Wild Rice paddy burger but my fries were not hot. I sound spoiled but come on! Who doesn't prefer hot fries? Positive note: I'm not a ketchup lover but LOVED the cranberry ketchup!My dad ordered the Traditional Wings but they were rubbery! He couldn't eat them at all!!! We had to send them back. My dad helped me with my burger, which is great because it was big hahaMy Fience ordered the Bacon Bistro Burger. He enjoyed it but his fries, too, were not hot. What can I say? He's also spoiled.Bartender: My dad and I love dark beer and this was the first time I've ever seen anyone serve dark beer in a tulip glass, which is fine, but if I'm gonna pay $6.25, I didn't expect it to be half foam! I was a bartender and you don't serve beer half foam. That being said, I was also a waitress and would have told the bartender to get rid of more foam before I served it to my table. We asked our sever why it wasn't in a pint glass and she said it's because it's higher alcohol content. That makes zero sense. Tulip glasses are to help enhance flavor, not regulate patrons amount of consumption.Other strange experiences: The entry way is way too small when waiting to be seated. Our glass of water had a funny taste. Not sure if they use bleach solution to clean the plastic glasses or they need to recalibrate the dishwasher soap. The ketchup bottle wasn't squirting out ketchup so we had to unscrew the top to open it. The hand soap dispensers in the bathrooms are strange! We all had issues trying to detect our hands, maybe needs new batteries? Both girl's bathroom soap were almost empty, may that was the problem.I don't wanna sound picky but this was a strange visit 😅 But I made sure to tip THE WAITRESS just over 20% on the original bill total before she comp'ed us because she was awesome.

The only problem you’ll ever had at BoomTown will be deciding what to order. Fantastic service, food, beer. Stopped out for a birthday and anniversary celebration, and we had a wonderful time. I chose the Brisket Mac & Cheese, and it’s now my new favorite. Our server was Molly, she was great, and made our time incredible. Thanks BoomTown & Molly!

Great curb appeal so I figured ‘why not’! Wasn’t disappointed. Very clean. Great menu. Friendly staff. The food was very good and the turnaround time was impressive. Lots of interesting choices from their brewery (I enjoyed the ‘Range Cerveza’ but tried a sample of their peanut butter porter).Highly recommend the margarita flatbread.Will definitely be back!Parking: Lots of parking. Easy access from Highway

BoomTown has such an amazing menu. They have so many choices from salads, wraps, burgers, steak, and brisket mac. As a group, we had the portobello prime, salmon salad, and brisket mac n' cheese. It was all so good. They also had the old49er, which is a 49 oz prime rib!!! We we coming from a fishing trip in Canada and had never been here before, but we would highly recommend it. They also have craft beers as well!

This place was in a pretty desolate location. We went here for dinner after my PSIA ski exam. We thought we were walking into a bar that served food. This place was above any expectations we had made for it upon appearance. The place was very nicely decorated, very clean, had amazing food, and great service. It was very busy also. Will definitely go here again!

Overpriced. Strange entrance from the side and very uninviting in my opinion. Seat yourself sign started the odd stroll through the restaurant. Once the server was there she was very polite and did a good job. As far as the food goes my food, the pulled pork tacos were very good. The kids pizzas were actually a great choice for kids and the one item not overpriced. My daughters fish sandwich not so good. It was dry and over cooked. My wife's salmon BLT zero stars so she said. I didn't get a picture but it looked good. However, she said it was absolutely tasteless. The salmon cakes 100% NOT worth $13.99 for 3. Although I thought the tartar sauce was awesome with the added flavor of the capers still not a $14 appetizer. I think for 2 people on a date the decor and feel would be great but for families it's a No Go.

I've only been once, and the food was all too salty for my tastes, and I even sampled family members' food and found it all too salty. It was expensive, and service was slow. It was very busy, and VERY loud. The atmosphere might improve if one went for lunch instead of dinner? Keep in mind it's a bar and grill, so it might always be loudish? Either way, not my scene. God forbid you want to visit with people... you have to text, pass notes, or know ASL.

Mostly good food. Burgers are tasty and cooked perfectly. Presentation is nice. Steak fries, all 7 of them, we’re mostly overcooked, hard. Regular fries were too salty. A little pricey for what we received.After dropping off the check, not returning for a bit, and someone else handling it for him, the waiter returned asking if we were about ready- umm, rude. How about “may I refill your drink, it’s been empty since the last half of your meal”

Burger was amazing! Great flavor cooked perfectly.Wings were super saucy and yummy paired perfectly with blue cheese (which to me tasted homemade).Couldn’t decide on one beer so went for the beer flight. Hard to pick a favorite beer but the blueberry wheat (comes w/ blueberries in it) and Octoberfest would be my picks.

Updated to add that while the food and atmosphere are excellent, what really shines is the customer service.The menu is unique, especially for the region. Finding ingredients like caprese, poutine, goat cheese or seared ahi is a rare treat in the Northwoods. The steak and BBQ is worth the slightly higher price point. Additionally all these dishes are well executed, the space is elegantly rustic and the service is above par.Make it a regular stop.

I visited this place with my family (4 total)We got the poutine as our appetizer, and it was cold. It's such a shame because I have heard great things about it.I got the Bacon Avocado Burger. You know a burger is good when it is hard to fit in your mouth.However, we were not impressed with the wait time. We were seated right away, but it took over an hour to prepare our food. Granted, there was a private event going on at the same time we were there, so the kitchen was busy. But, I still don't think that justifies the sheer amount of time we spent sitting at our table.Overall, the service was OK. Our waitress gave off this vibe of forced friendliness, but there were no issues.Our expense was definitely more than I expected, but it was manageable nonetheless.61/100 -If you're looking for a long wait, mediocre taste place, Boomtown Eveleth is for you. If not, don't waste your time.

First time trying this place. We ordered the Mexican sweet potato poutine and it was super good, like seriously good. The gf tried the Bacon and brie burger and really enjoyed it. I had the yard bird and it was also great. I recommend the side order of max and cheese it was also very very good. Server was nice, attentive and the manager even checked on us. 10/10 for sure.

Came in for lunch with my husband. Ordered the pulled pork nachos and they were gross. Took a bite and had a mouth full of fat in my mouth. The wonton crisps were saturated with grease. Then tried the burger istead. The burger took 35 minutes to come out. No salt, no pepper,no ketchup provided. Service was slow. Will not be back. Do better!

Greeted by helpful and friendly servers at the door and through out dinner. Great happy hour discounted appetizers and drinks. Clean bathrooms, Nice family seating in the Restaraunt area that is separate from the bar area. A nice mix of booths and tables. The outside patio area looked inviting even on a winters day! Accessible by ATV too. TIP for access - Look for the Subway sandwich store to turn onto the frontage road. Also, the entrance is not intuitive down on the left side, they ask you not to enter through the front patio which makes sense.For eats, we shared three appetizers and a flight of beer for $25. The Brussel sprouts were phenomenal with the bacon, and we aren’t Brussels fans just wanted to try and get some veggies on our plates. The cheese curds were also top notch and had a lightly crispy putter shell and soft on the inside with a tasty tomato based dipping sauce. I really liked the seared ahi tuna, fresh and zesty sauce.For adult beverages, a large on tap beer selection and their own microbrews were all very drinkable and nothing off tune. The Oatmeal stout was smooth and one of the best I’ve had. The pouring spout was having issues with foam, so the waitress brought Out an extra glass filled, which was thoughtful. The porter not my favorite it had a bit of a bite on the tongue, but different strokes for different folks. That’s why the flight of 4 is a nice way to go: Just move on to the next one!We have driven by for years and will definitely be back! We love the fact it’s locally owned and operated. The owners have another establishment in a nearby town that we would like to go checkout too!

We always stop here! There are a couple locations but this is the one is usually go to. The wings are awesome and I love the selection of local beers. I had a really strong ipa yesterday there that was flavor and awesome: the burgers are solid. The fried shrimp is amazing. I also get the tacos sometimes and they’re great. You can’t beat it if you’re in the region. There are a number of amazing bike trails near their locations here and in Hibbing and it’s a good stop along the way.

We were traveling and stopped at Boomtown for a late lunch. They were extremely busy. We were greeted and served water immediately. We had to wait longer than expected for someone to take our order. However, once we placed our drink and food order the service was exceptional. Shelly, our server was fantastic. The food was absolutely amazing. They have a great menu.

A classy yet very comfortable setting. There is room for bigger groups and if you want it has a nice bar area.The steak cabob meal is absolutely delicious. I ordered it done medium rare and that is exactly how they were done.The prices are reasonable for the setting. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The waitress was extremely rude and just unconcerned about having customers. We had five people eating, and 3 people got food while the other two waited. The steak did not come as was ordered and even went sent back. It was still wrong. We are from 14 hours away, and this was extremely disappointing. They close at 10. We were gone by 9:15. And it was still an issue to the waitress that we were there at all. It was just a terrible experience all the way around.

First of all I just want to say how excited I am to come back to Boomtown and try more of their amazing food! Second, our waitress Megan was wonderful! She was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the menu and dishes available. Third, the food we ordered was so good and original it truly blew all our expectations out of the water!I ordered the Cranberry walnut chicken which was grilled perfectly and had way flavor than what I was expecting! My wife ordered the Wild rice burger which honestly took the most original and flavorful award between the two dishes! Lastly the beer and drink menu was vast yet intentional. They brew a lot of the beers on the menu themselves which I personal was very impressed with!Can't wait to go back!

Molly M was our server today. She did a fantastic job. My husband's salmon was a little over cooked and she noticed it before even bringing it to us. She came to the table asked my husband if he thought it was over cooked and she had the cook already having another one cooking. She had zero problem with having them cook another and went above and beyond. Made sure the beer we were drinking tasted great to our liking. For being the first time we have ate her we will forever recommend this restaurant to all our friends and family who live close or visit. Every single thing we ordered including the recooked salmon was 10 out of 10.Again, thanks Molly for your phenomenal service. We definitely will be back again!
