Windmill is in a small feed & Pet Supply store. Cats available for adoption greet customers, rolling around on the counter to help check out. The place is run by volunteers who really love the animals and the people who come in. They work with wildlife rehabilitators, so you never know what you might hear about coming in during spring! Love going in for cat fix...they had guinea pigs and a rabbit as well, last time I stopped by!They also go out to schools, scout meetings, and more, to educate the public about animals...both domestic and wild. It's a wonderful community service organization

Best place ever!! Low prices on stuff like temptations, and pig ears/knuckles. Plus they have kittens n cats they save and adopt out .. I love visiting and sitting there for an hour or two playing with kitties!!

After finding an orphaned wood duck in our chicken coop, I called the Windmill (which is listed as an animal rescue and wildlife rehab location) and described the situation. They responded with "We don't have our wildlife rehab license!" and then proceeded to hang up on me. I called back several times thinking it was an accidental hang up, but they clearly have Caller ID and would pick up the phone and immediately hang up every time I called. They are NOT helpful in regards to animal rescue or wildlife rehab. At all. Furthermore, it was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL how they handled my question. Not impressed at all.

After 3 days of emailing and messaging back and forth they finally said they didn't have room. You could have said that on day 1.Eventually, their board member Amanda Schultz Koster reached out to me personally saying she'll take the cat if we don't find the owner or if we aren't successful at rehoming cat to a new owner. I have notified Amanda that we have an adoptee in progress and that we can hold the cat until the owner arrives. The adoptee agreed to pay me the adoption fee, not to Amanda. I stated numerous times how that $ will go to the girl who paid for vaccine shots out of her own pocket for this stray cat.This is where she went nuts, saying how we are rude. Hello? I didn't agree to give you the cat nor to give you $.This is when she started to harass Jordan vet clinic who did the shots for the cat. We will not tolerate your harassment.

Visit and buy all my Dog and wildlife needs on a weekly basis. (Store is in New Market of Elko-New Market). Toni's love/compassion for animals is beyond compare. And she is licensed by the State of Mn. for wildlife rehabilitation. Store profits go for animal care. I can't think of a better place to shop/support for my Dog🐶Buddy and critter needs. (...and I travel 25 miles-one way. That's how much I believe in her sincere dedication to animal rescue.) God bless.

This little gem of a store is a wonderful place. They have a little bit of everything for pets and livestock.... and if they don't have it they will certainly order and get it! The most friendly staff ever! And prices generally can not be beat.

tawny doesn't know what she's talking about. yes the cats roam freely but that's the point.. Toni, the owner understands that no animal wants to be locked up. she is so so good with the animals and she is a very kind woman

I would give it 0 stars if it was possible. Do not use this business, they don’t open on time. The employee showed up 5 minutes late. Went up to get help at 12:15 when they opened at 12. Was screamed at by the employee saying she couldn’t open until she was done counting the money. If you are going to show up right when the store is supposed to open you should open the doors right away. Will never be coming back to this place again. Not with the rude volunteers or employees they have. This business should not be here.

I love going here! I have been visiting Windmill for years and years. My family and I have adopted many pets from them. We love the staff. They really give it there all and they really care about the animals.

Cats, cats everywhere! And a few dogs. Maybe a rabbit. You never know. Love this this because they love animals. Did you know they carry all kinds of animal feed?Dog food, cat food, chicken food, bird food. Just go. It's like a mini zoo.

Very unprofessional. Cats roam freely indoor and outdoor. Drove all the way here to fill out an application just to be told that we have to fill one out online. Staff lady did not know much about the cats.

Went there to see about adopting a pet. Closed. By appointment only. Wouldn't answer. Recording said days out for an appointment. A stray animal list a good home!

If I could give these people a 0 I would. The lady on the phone assumed I wanted her to pick the wild animal up even though I was willing to bring it there she was heavy sighing about all the questions I asked like I was wasting her time and told me to call somewhere else because she was the only one there and she hung up on me!!!

I didn't visit them but called for help for another animal. The qoman manning the phone saw thatI was trying to call and called me back. They definately carw about what they do! Its nice to see such commitment.
