I dropped off 2 mower blades to get sharpened at Marties Elk River location. After a week goes by, I stop by to see if they’re done.I walk in the store and ask the young gentleman ( who was doing something on his cell phone) I was here to pick up my blades that I brought to get sharpened a week ago.The guy tells me that they are not done yet, because he said “ they have been swamped “.I calmly walked over to where myblades were located, grabbed them, and just walked out of the store!Place was swamped, but the dudesomehow finds time to occupy himself with his cell phone!Hey Marties. I’m done with you guys. As I can see with your other reviews here, since the new owners have come on board, prices and customer service has beenan issue.Something as simple as a blade repair has cost you guys a long time customer. Youain’t the only business in town!

Marties Under New Ownership: After 28 years of service. Spending over $150,000.00 in 28 years and referring multiple people over at Martie's Farm Service which equated to a few hundred thousand. The new ownership does not understand business. They are driven strictly on the numbers and absolutely no customer service. Not competitive pricing. Prices have skyrocketed with the new ownership for Grain and other products. When, trying to talk to them about the prices they we're extremely rude and did not want to listen at all. I took the recipe for my custom mix that was Martie's making to another feed mill and the price for the exact same product was $110.00/cheaper for the same recipe. Numerous times the recipe they we're making they got it wrong. When, they got it wrong there was no apology in Elk River and there was no REFUND OR PARTIAL MONEY. Joe Gross - Master Farrier had wanted me to post this for customers. Please look somewhere else and SHOP around. Often times, bags we're broken. Joe had it and left Martie's for good.

We purchase our chicken food from Marty's Feed store. Always good service and great food products. Huge selection of chicks as well.

Things sure have changed since the new ownership. I have only been there twice since the new ownership, but both times they were short on what I wanted (chicken feed). The young guy loading me up seemed perturbed that I wanted 8 bags-sure doesn't have the family feel and helpfulness that it had when Rusty & Beth were at the helm. Not sure if I will go back there--and yes the prices have gone up too.

Don't always have local honey on hand. Not their fault though. Beekeepers can't deliver regularly.

I went there for the first time and was treated so bad that I will never go back. First, I asked for worm chow and a guy said "never heard of it" then I asked about chick's and the same guy said "this is not a zoo." I told him that the tractor store was selling hundreds a week and they keep running out. The same rude guy says, "how much are they charging 7.00 per bird?" I said no 2.99. Then he said, "we tell people to order them but they can't get it through their heads." Way to treat customer. I WILL NEVER BE BACK!

Prices are really quite high for this kinda store. Be aware that the cracked corn has alot of chaff and fine millings- a waste of money. If needing some- take a little trip to Gilman Co-Op north of Foley or Farmers Co-op in Foreston.
