Awesome personality of Owner of store.He is very positive, upbeat, easy to talk to and knowledgeable about Salt water and fresh water fish. Owner has been doing this for 27 years! Great guy very helpful. I purchased an African Clawed frog to be with my baby Oscar fresh water fish.Very fun to watch… added a lot to my aquarium. I will also purchase more of myAquarium needs from him.

Every saltwater tank was loaded with parasites and pest attached to the corals. Everything was over priced compared to all the other saltwater stores in town or even anywhere online. Dead or dying Duncan's in a display tank is a Red flag. Selling corals covered with aptasia, flat worms, and cyano is just asking for trouble. The fish at least looked healthy for the most part, besides being over priced. I can't speak for the freshwater side of things here, but if you are looking at anything saltwater stay away. Go to New Wave Aquaria, Reef Collective, or even the Minnetonka Petco, all safer choices.

This place is great! You can buy reverse osmosis water here for cheap, which for a lot of fish is important because tap water in this area is super hard. The staff spend a lot of time with their customers. During busy times I have had to wait, but that is because I know the staff are working with other customers and doing their best to help them. There's a wide selection of fish and it's also a cool place to visit. They have all the supplies you could need and plenty of experience. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I have been coming to WetWorld for several years now. Mike is knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic and loves to talk shop. He always has helpful suggestions. The shop has a nice selection of fish and gorgeous corals and is split evenly between fresh and salt. Solid store and i always leave feeling like i was chatting with friends as you really do build a relationship with Mike and his staff. His kids work there too and it’s great to see it operating as a family business.

Staff are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I’ve never had even a mediocre experience when visiting, it’s always been exceptional. They listen to understand individual needs and don’t pressure into anything unnecessary. They are also always eager to explain when asked questions and passionate about their business; from a small tank with a single fish to massive ecosystems, and everywhere in between.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Prices run a little higher than the big box stores but their stock is much higher quality and their service is better. Completely worth the prices. I had one fish pass within a week and they not only replaced it, they gave me 2 extras. Very happy with their service and I will be giving them my business from now on.

Mike at Wet World is fantastic! He showed me how to test my salt water and made great recommendations on coral selections. He even told me I could bring some water in and he would test it. That is great service from someone that loves the hobby.

We were greeted at the door and were able to find the fish we wanted easily. There was a greater variety of fish than we’ve found at the two big-box pet stores as well as supplies we needed for our aquariums that the others had run out of stock.Support your local aquarium store - we will!

Super helpful, care taken to help their customers succeed. I've been having a problem in my tank that turns out to not be a problem outside of bad test kits (New, but bad). Best coral I've seen in the south metro. Owner is super personable and will offer his advice without judgement on whether you wish to take it or not. Has a no-nonsense attitude to tank husbandry, which I am coming around to. Tech is certainly cool, but there's something to be said about keeping it simple. Will be a long-time customer.

My husband and I drove from Rochester, MN up to the cities to visit at least 4 fish stores. We ended up going to Wet World 1st, spending an hour there, then driving to other places and purchasing nothing, and coming back and getting everything from Wet World. (I also will add that we were pretty disappointed at another fish store that had a handful of dead floating fish and dirty tanks).Mike is the owner and he is super sweet and patient and spent at least 3 hours talking to my husband and me about starting a salt water tank. He even took the time to open up the equipment and show us how to use it, showed us how to start building live rock designs, and really just took a lot of time and detail to share the do's and don'ts of just getting started.We were able to talk about what type of fish we wanted to keep, and he made us a lot more comfortable with starting to put corals in our tank so we have a healthy environment for our fish.He was very down-to-earth and definitely not arrogant. You can tell he really just wants the fish to be well taken care of, and his customers- not just selling us whatever and hoping it works out.I cannot share enough how happy we are. This is a SUPPORT LOCAL shop, not a big box store. His son comes in and helps too and also was more than happy to let me hold a baby turtle :)Mike has been in the business for over 20 years, and we will be returning to purchase future equipment and fish, as well as to just ask a ton of questions!

This review is based off of freshwater fish. It might be different for saltwater.Went to Wet World today 1/27/24. 2 younger guys working there and talking to a customer.. Went through saw all the tanks and happened to see a tank with a species I was interested in but no price posted. I waited while one of the guys talking to the customer to finish roughly 7 minutes spent waiting to ask the price. There was no acknowledgment of me being there even though i was in front of them anf next to the other customer.. Another customer comes in the store with a vessel for carrying water and they immediately helped him. The second worker wasn't talking or doing anything. I left after this. Tanks had tons of pest snails and prices were much higher than other lfs. Will never visit Wet World again or recommend to any freshwater fish keepers. The last 2 times were a different experience and prices were reasonable, had friendly service and got large orders taken care of.Would not recommend for any freshwater fish as other lfs (not chain store) have better prices and tanks.

Stop in to check it out. Was doing some fish browsing for the new tank. Had plenty of assortments of freshwater and saltwater. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Also said they could special order some fish if needed.

Brought in a bunch of electric a blue acaras several months ago and was told at the time that store credit would be added to my account. Called today and was told that I had no store credit, when I asked if there was anything they could do I was told that they checked my account twice and there was nothing there. Update: spoke with Michael today and he offered to make things right, I appreciate the effort in keeping my business.

As an Axolotl breeder this place makes me sick. Water is warm, gills ar depleted and babies are on pebbles small enough to cause an impaction. If you can't take care of your animals, you have no business selling them.

Good advice and service but there were a whole lotta dead fish there and they either keep their bettas in community tanks or these little unfiltered wall bubbles that they also sell. Better than Petco for food, plants, supplies, and advice but I don’t know if I would buy any creatures there
