I forgot my wallet today, went to checkout, no tap pay. Cashier was understanding, wanted manager approval for manually entering a card number. Assistant manager comes over, looks through the bag and says with overt and unnecessary frustration/attitude “Just buying light bulbs, 21 dollars, we usually don’t enter cards manually, but we will make an exception”. It’s 2023, get with the times, don’t treat paying customers like thieves. I took this up with a manager and he was not courteous or customer service focused. He was dismissive and not eager to hear my opinion.

I would have left no stars if possible! Spent over a $1200 on wood for a 12 ft X 36ft deck. Were told someone would come help load no one came, people who came after us that had lighter stuff to load seemed to get help. Still need railings and steps doubtful we will be back to Menards for them.

i bought a menards vacuum cleaner the person who sold it to me said i needed to keep the receipt when it broke down and she said if i lost the receipt they would help me find it on the system but when i went to see a lady she didn't do a good job in customer service but kept asking me who told me that and what was that person's name when I bought it almost a year ago and I can't remember The seller's name is a waste if you buy things there and you have to buy additional warranties

This is the good place if you need something to fix up you house furniture or anything else but we have the bad luck today the reason because the item we are looking for it was out of stock but the employee help us to looking for it he was very nice and kind..

Things are displayed on the floor at one price and then rings up for a different price, and their response is too bad. Totally ignored me I finally just left

Menards used to be a my one stop shop in a couple categories and the employees were great. Now you walk in, can't find help, let alone get the right help. Nobody knows anything. They do not by far give the correct rental prices over the phone or in store. Witch leads you to paying way over the amount that was told to you apon return. Then they ask, didn't you read your rental agreement? Why should I have to if your supposed to be telling me the correct price. Sounds dishonest to me. Same with going in paying for lumber,block, steal. Going to the yard and the service slip is wrong or they charged you for different size block. Gotta go back in, get a refund or ask if you can get the difference back. I shouldn't have to go in, come out, get in my truck, drive around, come back out, go back in store, etc. Can't be dealing with employees not knowing what is what when you have mud showing up at a job site. The store was very unkempt and items out of place. Not the same Menards it used to be, by far.

As I've gone into the store the last few times the general manager has been rude to guests and employees in front of guests -aka me. The stores appreance has gone down hill within the last few months. Dundas has always been the store I shop at for dog food to home improvement to groceries but having these experiences these last few times has left a bad taste in my mouth. I guess I'm getting excited for the new tractor supply to open as I can get my dog food there and not see the piss poor environment and attitudes from store managers.

Yesterday I asked an employee a question and she was not nice. At once she said that they did not have the product with a bad attitude, I insisted with another employee and she found it in stock, yes, they had the product available and she was kind. The store should check out these types of people who don't like working with customers. This employee noticed my accent and was immediately ungentle. We like this store and we go often. But this was bad experience for me. 👎

We just LOVE 😍 our Dundas Menards store! The employees are VERY HELPFUL there especially when we put our kitchen faucet in!! We saved ALOT of money by doing it ourselves!!! THANKS AGAIN MENARDS!!!!

Went in this morning because I need to replace 2 hallway light fixtures. Karen in lighting helped me out. She was awesome! I told her, "The girlfriend wants recessed lighting, I want it to be LED and I want to control it by my phone". After informing me there were different options for mounting, she went into detail and explained everything so well. She was incredibly knowledgeable and polite. A wonderful start to my morning.

A standard big box store. Employees try to be helpful but most are out of their league. The 11% back gimmick sometimes works sometimes doesn’t. They need go away from snail mail and move to the electronic mail service.

Alan was really great. He went above and beyond to help us with one thing we couldn't find, and even though it ended up being out of stock, his helpfulness and his wonderful smile made our trip worthwhile!

Julie, little lady with glasses, extremely rude to everyone... Ya that Julie. I'm sure everyone knows who I'm talking about... Never in my life have I been treated like such trash at a department store. I asked around to other employees to find out she isn't a manager, (though she sure thinks she is). The employees who I talked to also didn't seem too suprised when I told them how she treated me. One even pleaded that I try to do something about it. So here I am... If any manager would like to reach out I'd like to file a formal complaint. Thanks for your Help Julie!!! I really hope you find a job that doesn't require you to come in contact with customers...

I'm giving two only because the guy we asked for assistance did try his best. Could certainly see how if I was persistent and who I am, he wouldn't have been as helpful. That's not good for others.Also, the gal that ran the register for us really didn't like having to move off her leaning position. Sucks to have to earn a paycheck, I suppose.Editing because I’m back in 2023 and everyone is so annoyed to help. I hate this store.

Cody and Jake and the whole team went above and beyond to help me find a product that was nearly sold out everywhere. Their patience and determination really made a huge difference to me! Top notch customer service in my opinion.

I really wish I could put no stars but I can’t do I had to put 1 star. The customer service is is awful. They are rude and don’t even answer your questions. There is one staff member is particular, (that I will name because I honestly don’t care what happens to her) Lorri who is very rude and obnoxious about everything. There was a item in the wrong place and when it came time to checkout, we noticed that the price did not mach up with the price tag from where we picked it up. We even went back to the place where we got it from and Lorri was very rude about the entire situation. I understand if she was having a bad day but even then that is no excuse for this behavior. I hope they retrain this staff member because she is just awful and I’m sure that i am not the only one that feels this way about Lorri. Im sure they have lost a lot of customers because of this and they will soon realize this. This has not been the first time nor I’m sure it will be the last time this has happened and in all of these situations Lorri has ALWAYS been very rude and obnoxious. And one of the things that made it even worse was that they did not even apologize about this. At this point I feel that this staff member should just quit as she is always in a bad mood.

Better than usual. All employees had masks on and were more helpful than during past visits. I dislike big box stores, where they seem to have everything except what you are looking for. I did manage to find the items on my list this time. Yay.

Clean and organized store. I like to browse the clearance section. They seem to get a lot of returns that they deeply discount. I also like the menards cash back for future purchases. They do well on black Friday as well. The employees are all kind and helpful. The cashier verified everything rang up correctly on our receipt. I recommend this location for your building supplies.

Went to the Dundas store to get sharkbite connectors to install a water softener. I'm always willing to try the DIY. The water softener new adventure for me so I hoped the department employees could help me find all the hardware I would need. There was a manager, an assistant manager and a young lady on duty that day. I had to find an employee to request someone from plumbing to come and assist me. A young lady arrived and she told me she didn't know much about plumbing but she tried very hard to help. She was unable and I knew that she wouldn't have the knowledge to help me in information about this project. She called someone up the chain from her but they were unable to come to the area. I was willing to wait but ultimately the person she was talking to said " they sell water softener but not the connections. Really?!? Menards doesn't sell any kind of connectors? It became clear that they just didn't want to be bothered with a customer. At that point I thanked the young lady who at least tried to do her job. I left and stopped by their desk to let them know that their customer service was the worst and that though I had done tons of business at menards I would not be back. I went to Ace hardware and they helped me somuch. Ace spent all the time I needed to get the right parts and answer questions I had about the project. I will go back to menards one more time to use a rebate but then it's bye bye menards. Hello Ace

I've been coming to this location for years. I know where everything is which is convenient and can generally find things if I don't know the location. The reason for stars is the staff. I rarely ever get interaction with them, a greeting or may I help you from them. Today I was walking up to till 10 and an employee (older gentleman named Marty I think) walked in front of me and starting making small talk with the 2 employees at the register. Not once was I recognized even though the cashier was facing me and its hard to miss me. I moved to till 8 as she was open. She was pleasant and we finished the transaction. Guess who was still making small talk. Take a guess. Work on the customer service management. Lowes and Home Depot aren't that far.

No workers in sight, had a question in rugs, no one. Had a question in casters, no one. Found a rug I like and the cashier was quick and polite so have 2 stars for that. But had to schlep the rug up front myself and find out the price at register. Not great!

Three trips to store recently and one online call to Order Pickup Coordinator all went well. The employees I encountered were all polite, knew their jobs, and were wearing masks. I felt comfortable and safe during my visit. I wouldn't be a customer these days if it were otherwise. I have more projects to address soon and will keep coming back as long as the 100% mask policy is in place. I can't imagine the mindset to complain about doing the littlest thing for the welfare of others. We'd have lost WWII if people felt the same back then.
