This is my New Go To Place while visiting up in Crosby/Deerwood MN.Great location on the main drive, easy to get to.Up dated interiors with warm environment.Interesting and easy room registration online.First time experience but makes a lot of sense.I checked in later night approx 10:00 pm and room was ready for immediate occupancy.All excellent and will be happy and look forward to staying again and again.Rooms: Great room size with new decor upgrades.A must stay when you are in the area.. will be back many times.

Room was very nice, including kitchen facilities, though an ice cube tray would be a good addition. WiFi was easy & reliable.Shower rod was too low, causing about 3” of curtain to drag on floor & liner on bottom of tub. This is unsanitary and a potential trip hazard. Eventually, it’s likely to grow mold on the bottom few inches of the liner, and trash the bottom of the very nice curtain that beautifully matches the white walls & blue vintage bathtub.Some sort of emergency siren with an unusual and volume-fluctuating sound was broadcast from a nearby location 3x while I was there for two late afternoons & nights. It was more irritating than horrible, but would likely have woken me if it happened at night (that’s why I gave only three stars for location).

This is a great motel, highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area. Very good location in town, and the owners are friendly and helpful.The rooms are nicely updated and very clean, everything works well and check-in was incredibly easy. Will definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.

We really enjoyed this place! We were a little thrown off at first by the no-contact check-in policy, but after more closely reading the directions, it was actually quite efficient and enjoyable.The room was perfect - it was clean, had more-than-expected amenities, and had everything we needed for a good night's rest.The only issue we had was we are used to a sleep-number bed and this mattress was a little firmer than we are used to, but that's simply a preference, not a fault.The proprietors were quite responsive via text (we only had one question), so I never felt disconnected.Overall, this was a terrific experience in a terrific hotel! Highly recommend!

The new owners have done an excellent upgrade to an old motel. Self-check-in, keyless entry, new laminate flooring, and homey touches make it a place we will definitely stay again.Noteworthy details: At the last minute we brought a granddaughter along and Karin came right over and added a rollaway. This was our second stay and we appreciate the attentiveness to our request. It was nice to meet her and we will definitely stay there again.

Very unexpected find in Deerwood! Spacious studio set up in a small local hotel with comfortable furnishings; the bed was great and the bedding was bright white and spotless. The bathroom is adequate and could use an update (since there was no counter in there, we ended up using the little kitchenette sink area). Loved the large front window and appreciated being able to close blackout curtains at night. AC worked great even on 100F days. We also really liked being able to self-check in and out by code (no keys!) and would definitely stay here again. Check it out; you won't be disappointed!Nearby activities: Easy access to area hiking/biking trails, lakes for fishing, boating, and swimming as well as a wide range of shops and restaurants in nearby Crosby.Safety: Quiet location in small town, you can walk about without feeling uneasy.Food & drinks: Convenience store on the next block has plenty of food and drinks as well as necessary items.

Very clean rooms and sheets were fresh and white. The bathroom, which is the retro touch, needs updating a bit, but the rest of the room was updated nicely. I'm 5'11 and the shower head came to my chin, LOL. Karin, the proprietor, was very friendly and nice. Love the access to my room. There is no front desk to deal with. You get a code in your email to access your room. I will definitely stay again when in the area.Nearby activities: Biking and hiking trails. Also Serpent Lake is nearby for fishing.Walkability: Gas station and bar within walking distance.

Great rooms, comfy beds, liked being able to check in ourselves. We stayed in #2, which has a queen and a twin. There is a mini fridge with a freezer, a microwave and a coffee maker. Perfect to have quick snacks or picnic supplies. Bathroom hasn’t been fully updated but are a little kitschy fun. Shower head could be better. Great location for biking etc at Cuyuna - 7 minute drive to town and a nice 20 minute bike. Recommend!

We were very pleased with our stay at Cuyuna Lakes Stay. Very clean and exceptionally quiet. Nice little town to walk around and close to nearby Crosby . I stayed in a Queen Suite so a little more room with a kitchenette. Great response from the owners when we had a problem with the remote (turned out to be batteries). Would definitely stay again.

Great place ! The owners were great.The room was comfortable, spotless, and had everything I needed for 3 nights. It was nice to have the kitchenette for drinks / snacks/ breakfast before heading out to bike all day.10 minutes from Crosby and several trail heads.As Arnold says " I'll be back " 😀

Call me old fashioned. I much prefer to have an attendant on site so the electronic check in really sucks if you have questions and there's no one to ask. The room was clean but on the 2nd floor during summer months, might I suggest keeping the air conditioner on economy setting at the very least? If you're going to do that electronic check in & out, my advice as a business owner, be available by phone. It was an hour or so before I received a call back. The location was beautiful and the people in town we spoke to were very friendly.

I'm kind of new to the whole enter with a code on keypad thing, but it worked well so a good experience.Room was as expected. Clean and well provisioned.Talked with the owners a couple of times on the phone and was impressed with their prompt pickups and friendly responsive, even when the info I requested was right in front of me on the table. :)Normally I stay in Baxter, but this was a nice change of pace! I was very impressed with Cuyuna Lakes Stay. Updated rooms except for the bathtub but it was clean. The cute kitchen was well stocked and the refrigerator was bigger than a normal hotel one. Check in was easy. Got a text with a code so I didn’t have to worry about a key. Will definitely stay again next time I’m in Deerwood!Nearby activities: Close to bike trails.

A dollar general up the block and a holiday gas station across street.

The room is on west side bottom floor , chill/damp during day, stuffy warm towards evening. A/c unit is right above the bed so if you enjoy the noise it will work for you. At the end of building , which is good as the pipes are old and you know when someone is showering or flushing.The room is clean, but if renting long stay seems like you then need to supply or replenish things like toilet paper, garbage bags etc..No microwave, which I prefer over the air fryer.One thing I learned renting for a month seems great till you have to leave early and suddenly you are on the weekly rate not a pro rated monthly rate.The Lynx locking system is very nice and it was easy to get a room through owner .

Overall great experience. New owners are professional hospitable, and very pleasant Rooms have been beautifully updated to include kitchenettes, hard wood floors, pull out couches new bedding and decorated with a modern touch. We stayed in the 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. Decorated with charm. We loved our stay. Spacious rooms including kitchen and livingroom. Kitchen has full sized fridge, stove and a table set to seat four. Necessities provided such as dishes in the kitchen, bathrooms items. Would highly recommend this place. We will definitely be coming back.

We enjoyed our two night stay at Cayuna Lakes. The bed was comfortable and the room was nicely equipped and quiet, even though we were on the street side. The owners have done a great job of updating an old motel, giving it contemporary lake cottage vibe. The location is a few blocks off of Serpent Lake in the town of Deerwood--easy access to area lakes and mountain bike trails.
