Stayed 3 nights.No ice in ice maker.After 3 days going to check out and morning management says we had a dog in a non dog room.Our room was 10 feet from the front desk,came and went for 3 days with dog.Manager was very rude not only to us but others also.When we made reservations we told them we had a dog when I checked in the dog was there with me.But the manager insisted on changing me a special cleaning fee.Daytime manager would not give me a invoice for the special cleaning or tell me what special cleaning was performed.Very rude day manager. If it take 3 days to figure out that there is a dog in the room what does that say about the cleaning staff?Nothing back from the owners so that must be buisness as usual there.Noteworthy details: Needs a new daytime manager.

We really want to like our visit at this Inn because the service ladies were nice and polite. We had a terrible experience with the room that we got. We didn't mind the older bed and the leaking sink since it was a temporary stay but we did not expect to get so many bug bites sleeping there. I hope that the owner look into it and exterminate these bugs because we would hate for anyone else to go through what we did.

Girl at the front desk was quite rude when we asked about a smoking room... due to the nice note on the mirror that says please let us know if u want a smoking room.. so we did and she was like no I cant change u cause now the room is dirty.. then we went to went to the pool area it was gross and dirty then when trying to shower the tub didn't drain so u needed to hurry and shower before the tub filled . Will not recommend this place to anyone!

Stayed here while our cabin was getting ready at a nearby resort, kind of wish we just booked the whole week here. Nice rooms and comfortable beds. The pool was excellent and my kids had a blast with the little waterslide. Breakfast was surprising good. Definitely recommend staying here.

Horrible housekeeping place could be nice but it's lacking care. Staff isn't very friendly except the afternoon lady at the front desk older women other then that can't say much. Not to mention the fire alarm has been going off all day and 2 nights in a row now when people have to get up early for work and wakes my child out of a dead sleep. And the dogs barking that someone left in their truck in cages all night. Where I am from its illegal to leave your pets in a hot vehicle let alone locked in cages as well. Won't be returning.

I enjoyed the clean, spacious room with higher than average ceiling height and a large window. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. Overall, the place is clean and well kept. The hot tub was relaxing. The free breakfast was as good as your typical continental breakfast. I also enjoyed the restaurant next door.

Stayed here about 5-6 years ago on a long drive back from Detroit. Desk staff were so friendly and helpful. Even offered a CAA discount (probably cause they could tell I was exhausted). Nice clean rooms. A great little port in a storm.

Our service was excellent, the lady at the front desk was working alone and overwhelmed. She did her best to correct the errors. Our date of stay was entered incorrectly. Once she was able to fix that, we went to our room. The room wreaked of urine/it was not vacuumed. We immediately called to change rooms. There were no rooms available. We called other hotels in the area, everything booked. We stayed the night, we will never return. She tried to vacuum and spray the room. We left the window open the entire night with the air conditioner on to remove the smell. It was horrid, we were unable to clear the stench. We would not recommend staying here.

Since they raised the price to $120 for the basic 2 bedroom queen weekend off season price. 100% not worth it. Is it worth $89 yes. $120 hard pass. The hotel is extremely out dated. Carpets are absolutely disgustingly dirty. Jacuzzi had mold coming out of the jets. I used to bring people here all year and would book out 3 or 4 rooms. I’d rather sleep in a tent on my bare land than bring people to this sad excuse of a hotel they think they can charge people that much money for.

Arrived at 9:30pm and was told they almost sold my room! I had a non refundable rate that I booked 2 1/2 months prior? So if you are going to be late please call them. Got into the room and the floor needed vacuuming. Asked the next morning and it was done. Beds were ok nothing special. The bar and grill next door is nice as long as you like pipeliners. All and all 3 stars out of 5. Location rocks.

Premises was clean and tidy, but there was a distinct sweet and musty smell in the room. The bed was very springy and the coils of the mattress dug into my back overnight. For the high price tag per night's stay, I would have expected better quality rooms. However, the staff was indeed courteous and helpful, so that's always a plus.

Every single time we have come here over last few years, especially on New Year’s Day, which we have for 3-4 years and tried other times as well the hot tub is “down “ for maintence . Some of the main reasons we come out is so the kids can play in pool and adults can relax in a hot tub . Not worth the price when amenities are always lacking . We will not be coming back until things get fixed up and cleaned up . (Which after years doesn’t seem to happen ) so our business and referrals will be going to places that actually care to maintain what they offer and update as things wear out etc .Note : They did offer an upgrade to jacuzzi room which of course we took and they did last time but honestly , it’s nice to sit in hot tub and watch my kids swim at the same time and not 2 different places… not the staffs fault of course they seem ok .

Hard beds ,cleaning products still in the room which made me concerned it was not cleaned yet. Tub drain was broken do it unnerved me to go into the bathroom only to see inches of water in the tubTV was low quality so the picture was grainyFree breakfast wasn't worth staying forPretty pricey as well for what you got

The quilt on bed dirty and smelled. Dust on top of bed, mirror, and microwave. The last time we stayed the room was very clean. Update:January 8 thru January 10. My husband & I spent the weekend here at White Oak Inn for my birthday which was on January 6th. Never have had such a wonderful fantastic birthday! All of u at White Oak Inn I just wanted say thank you so very much for making our weekend such and my birthday wonderful! Room was incredibly nice, warm, and so very very very clean! We slept like baby's! I don't remember ever having or being able to celebrate a birthday all my adult life that there wasn't a blizzard! The room was fantastic and we have absolutely no complaints! Thank you all again so very much.

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star!!It was so disgusting and not worth the money. The breakfast consisted of cereal or muffins. The sports bar next door we didn't try out so I'm not sure how the food is. The shower didn't drain while taking a shower so we stood in dirty water the entire shower, it was so disgusting!! The pool area/hot tub looked like it had never been cleaned and had lots of mold growing in each of them. The baby pool water was yellow as if it was full of urine. It was so gross!! All the motels were booked up otherwise I would have taken my kids and stayed somewhere else.

Nice staff. Clean accommodations. Nice, reasonably-priced hotel to stay at if you're just passing through and you don't want to waste a ton of money in Itasca or the surrounding summer tourist-trap area. Perfect for a trucker or serial killer (not really anywhere to hide bodies, though). Pool and hot tub look yucky, but it's just old paint. I think. We swam in the pool and had a good time and none of my kids got diseases.

Reception was nice, rooms were clean, breakfast was good. The people above us had kids who jumped off the bed until 11 at night. About two in the morning the drunk parents came back and for whatever reason pounded on the floor with their feet until three in the morning. You can actually hear people go to the bathroom that stay above you. I called the front desk and asked to be moved and they were willing to give us another room, howeverever after thinking about it realized I would just be awake that much more after moving my things to a different room. The hotel did not have that many guest so I have no idea why they would put people above each other in the first place. Had it not been for the derelicts above us I would've gave this hotel a four star. Everything else about this place was good except for not being able to sleep which was a huge downer.

I like the white oak, i had a good time. Drank some beers next door at the outpost and enjoyed the great food. Staff are courteous as well as attentive to the everyday tasks the business holds. Stop in when your in deer river MN I think you'll agree..

Stayed here 3 days with company, staff was friendly. They have a pool, hot tub and kiddie pool. The room I had was clean, and maintained well by the housekeeping when I was gone. The TV's are up too date allowing me to login to my Netflix and YouTube accounts which was something very nice and unexpected. They also have a little workout area that really isn't much more than cardio and the weights are nothing you can really get a good workout on.
