After completing "formal" puppy kindergarten classes, we decided our family and our new rescue pup would benefit from one-on-one training to help lock in the basics and help with a few additional skills we were trying to teach. Jenny was recommended to us by our vet and she was absolutely great! She gave us so many great tips to help us help our puppy continue her mastery of basic skills. She also provided us a ton of personalized tips on specific areas that were concerns of ours. After investing a few weeks of time to teach the new skills, it was like we had a new puppy! Jenny's tips for gentle teaching were a great fit for our family and our puppy. Jenny also provided many helpful tips and resources after our training with consistent follow-up to see how things were going. I felt like Jenny genuinely cared for our puppy and for our success as new puppy owners. I would highly recommend Jenny and Behavior Matters Pet Training to anyone!

Jenny has helped us over the last few years with three of the dogs in our life, one who is very reactive and resource guards, another who has a lot of anxiety issues and is getting older, and then helping us train our puppy and help get her ready to be an emotional support dog. Jenny also helped a lot with our dogs interactions with our cat who has a very large personality and gets herself into trouble.Jenny takes the time to listen to all of your questions and concerns and makes sure you feel confident in your training plan when she leaves. She is also amazing at connecting after a visit if you need additional support. Jenny is very knowledgeable and I love that she is not only a trainer but also a certified vet tech, and focuses on animal behavior and fear free training.We got so much more out of a one hour session with Jenny then we did with a 6 week session at the box store training classes. We will recommend Jenny 100%!

Jenny is absolutely amazing and I definitely recommend her. She explains things really well without making you feel bad or stupid, and is very understanding of the problems that you want to address in your training session. It's obvious that she is very experienced with dogs, and she was able to correctly assume things about my dog just based off her body language. After the initial consultation, she sends you a very detailed document containing information about why your dog behaves the way it does and her recommended training plan. She is open to questions and trouble shooting in between sessions via email, and her whole attitude makes it clear that she really does care for your dog's individual success. I have had great success with my dog's fear aggressiveness towards other dogs, and her general nervousness about the world. I cannot recommend her enough. She is great!

I cannot recommend Jenny with Behavior Matters Pet Training highly enough. She worked wonders with our dogs! Jenny has the most innate observational skills with dog behaviors! She was able to diagnose the root of the problem and provide us with a clear plan of action based on the dogs body language that we had never took notice of before.From the very first session, it was clear that Jenny had a deep understanding of canine behavior and training. She took the time to get to know our dogs and tailor her approach to their individual personalities and needs. She was patient, compassionate, and always positive in her interactions with us and our dogs, which helped them to feel comfortable and confident throughout the training process.Jenny was also incredibly responsive and supportive outside of our training sessions. We just had Jenny over to help with our pack of 3. Our dogs are all very different and we had a bout of redirected agression too. We wanted to make sure we prevented that from happening again and also that we were setting our dogs up for success with our plan for kids in the future. She was so kind and helpful. We will 100% be recommending her to our friends and family and will use her again if we have any more issues!
