An elderly lady was apparently having problems written out a check and the manager was very rude with her, so my daughter in law offered to pay for her groceries. Then the manager ruddley told my daughter in law no and said the elderly lady needs to know how to do this. Some people just should not be in a position to deal with customers.

A beautiful deli as you walk in. Next to it their bakery full of delicious baked goods. Look out though too much of a good thing leads to...the meat department has very good quality meat at a reasonable price. Their meat is superior by far to Wal-Mart just not cheaper. But you get what you pay for. They always have items on sale or special in every department. The store is clean and the service is always great with friendly staff. I cannot find anything negative to say about this establishment. The personnel here have this store earning my top score 5 stars! You all should be proud. I hope Hugo's rewards such excellence. I shop here for It's outstanding products and services. So what if they are a little speedier than Wal-Mart! My food tastes good and This is one local grocery chain Wal-Mart has not forced to shut It's doors!

The employees here are top notch. You never have to wait too long in line like at Wal-Mart, because multiple cashiers are available. The meat is fresher than Wal-Mart, and good sale prices.

Great appearance and layout. The store feels very modern and cozy. The benefit of this store like most others is the caribue coffee inside. If you can think of a food item they'll probably have it. Even seafood! I love shopping at hugos great prices with great products and great and friendly service!

Their espresso machine was broke so I didnt get my favorite coffee. Although the barista suggested something else which tastes better than what I normally drink. It was good service and the barista was very nice. Would most definitely go here again.

I love Hugo's Family Grocery, a small chain of local grocery stores. Prices are very competitive and customer service ranks very high. I recently had bought a miss marked item and it was corrected immediately which really impressed me.

Less variety than Walmart. Everything is great. The only I dislike was only one person who seemed to always have a bad day and showed it out loud to me. Not sure if she is like this or something else related to how I look. Other staffs are friendly, except her.

Wonderful supermarket right in Crookston. They have an excellent selection of food-quality meats and vegetables, as well as anything else one would want to find at a supermarket, everything from adobo peppers, to cage-free eggs, to cheese curds. Love this place.

A bit more expensive than stores in larger cities but pretty good for a grocery iin this size town. Especially enjoy the meat department where I find local/ regional brands and can tru them. Also enjoy the deli and hot food bar-

Accidentally picked up some bad fruit a while ago, let them know by the next day and they allowed me to return it and get a new one! Very helpful and their fruit is always so much better than walmart!

Excellent chicken tender meal today at Hugo's in Crookston, Minnesota! Choice of two sides plus a big fluffy biscuit. We chose sides of steak fries and coleslaw. Very delicious meal. On sale for just $4.99!

Poor attitude at checkout number 1 at 2:10. Over loaded plastic bag with 8 bottles of water. Bag tore open trying to lift from cart to vehicle, bottles went all over and under my pickup. And before that a package of donuts fell out of cart and fell out all over the floor!! That was my fault .

Hugos is a good store its the chicken strips I have a problem with. The chicken strips I always buy at the deli are dry every time so I believe this is the last time I will purchase chicken stripes at Hugos.

They have the freshest bread in town Walmart's bread when it gets here it's already like a week-old in the whole aisle stinks of stale and mold at Walmart but at Hugo's it is fresh as can be like it was just made today so is the donuts macaroni salad and potato salad their food is way fresher than Walmart I would shop for groceries here any day over Walmart

I usually go to Hugo's because they have the freshest produce at a decent price in town although when it comes to other food items I sometimes have to look elsewhere because I won't find it there and on the rare occasion that I do find certain things that I'm looking for they don't have enough of it but overall hugos is a good place
