Drake and his team are doing it right.Our family had a wonderful vacation. The cabin was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and well stocked.Nice touches like power and a fish cleaning station at the private dock were appreciated. Public boat launch right around the corner.A great place to stay when visiting the Crane Lake area.

Pride in ownership. We camped here while spending time with friends in the area who were in a cabin (The cabins we toured were well set up by the way) so limited time was spent at the campground. it was more or less a common crushed granite gravel lot with hookups vs. individual spaces but the room is generous, about as level as you could ask for, no mud and I did not notice any firepits but that was not an issue for us as we pretty much just slept there. and spent our days in the woods.We had a few complications reservation wise on our end but Drake rolled with it and made it work without issue.If you are looking for a destination campground with fingerpainting and Storytime for the kids, I don't think this the place but if you are looking for a clean, well maintained spot with full hookups to camp while you spend the bulk of your time on the water or in the wilderness, I would highly recommend and will definitely be back in the future.

New owner Drake Dill continues to build on the first-class reputation of this lakeside rental outfit. Great choice of cabin rentals for short or long-term stays for couples, groups, and families. Direct access to the Boundary Waters lake chain through Crane Lake with a full menu of outdoor recreation including fishing, boating, ATVing, and exploring. Highly recommended.

Great experience with Cabins on Crane. House was really nice and well equipped for all that we needed. Would highly recommend staying to anyone. We come up every year and will continue staying in these cabins.

Bruce and Traci really know how to treat all their guests to as good time. I have been going up to Cabins on Crane for a few years now and a better time cannot be had anywhere else. Definitely worth the drive to spend time up in the Crane Lake area.

So nice place to stay but my boat was on a dock that was a couple feet in line with the boat launch. I asked if it was an issue “no” well when I left I discovered someone ran into my boat. When I told Bruce, he looked at it and said “that’s too bad” nothing else. Just BS not to after anything or even apologize. Nothing. My boat did not have a scratch on it. 3 years old and took great care of it. No person could even fess up just BS. No clue how I can clean it up. The dent is there no matter what now. So he gets 1 star

We spent a long weekend with a group of friends in one of the cabins.Great space for us - plenty of room for all of us, clean, easy check in an Bruce is a good local guide. I'd highly recommend.

First time experience at Nelson's. Accommodations very nice. Food excellent. Service superb. Fishing guides first class. Fishing very poor. We came for the fishing and therefore very disappointed.

They have many options on lodging and the owner is a great person and will help with whatever your looking to do. Fishing and riding the many miles of trails on you ATVs Or Side by Sides. Also has Rentals of Polaris machines available. Check it out!
