My poodle always comes home happy. They always have a human with the dogs who are out playing most of the day except for meals. Nice play yard. Big indoor spaces the dogs can move around in. People are super friendly and they get to know your pet well. Can have half or full days or boarding. There are 5 cameras so you can check in on your pet from your phone to see how your pet is. The building is kept very clean inside and out. There is also grooming but we haven't used that service. I highly recommend this fun and happy place for your pet.

Pretty nice. We’ve had our Standard Poodle there maybe a dozen times over the course of a year for daycare. He loves going. Comes home happy and tired which gives us a break. Love the webcams! I’ve worked in a few boarding places over the years and am comfortable leaving him here. One drawback is the tiny entry area. Be prepared to wait outside if there are others picking up/dropping off.

Great people, great care.I occasionally picked up/dropped off my brother's dog for day care. Not only did Gracie love it there like a second home but the people were so friendly and caring. Enough to make a lasting impression on me. 10/10

OWNER TREATS CUSTOMERS LIKE TRASHWe have been taking our dog here for both occasional daycare and grooming since 2022. We scheduled a 2:30pm grooming session for last week. At 1:11pm we received a voicemail that we were late and would miss our appointment now. I called back at 1:41pm stating how I was confused about how we could be late for a 2:30pm appointment, the person on the phone told me policy is to have larger dogs arrive early so the groomer has enough time. I told her this had not been communicated when we made the appointment, but no matter, we can just reschedule the groom for a different day. We rescheduled the groom for early Feb (once we returned from vacation) and that was the end of the conversation. That same day at 7:30pm we were randomly charged $56 by Hound Around Resort. I called the next morning to inquire about the charge. I was told that this was a charge due to the no call no show for his groom the day before. I explained the situation, and miss-understanding, and asked for the charge to be credited to the total we would be paying for his future groom, already on the books. The person on the phone did not have the power to make that decision and needed to check with the manager. She called me back a little while later and told me the owner herself refused to credit the charge. This is a horrible way to go about dealing with reoccurring customers, and they have now lost our business for the life of our current and future pets.

Always a great place, we take our great dane there often and the workers are always so kind and they love our great dane! We've had a instance where our dog got hurt do to another dog and the workers did the most amazing job in contacting and taking care of the situation as best as they could.

We weren't a fan. And we love our dog so will not be sending her back there.1. Doesn't appear to be a limit on how many dogs they take for the day. I know this because the few times I've called, they don't check they're schedule to see if they have availability like other resorts. They accept the reservation right away.2. They just set the dogs free in the back to run. When watching their cameras you can definitely see a pack mentality going, you better hope there are no aggressive dogs.I've read reviews of dogs being bitten with no consequence.3. I think there is a community water bowl 🤢. What better way to spread bacteria?

I will never be bringing my dogs back here, 2 years ago we brought our dogs here and my one came home with a huge scab on his back and they tried to tell us it was there before which it wasn’t because I know my dogs. We decided to give them one more try and after our recent visit we won’t be back, I watched the cameras constantly and would always see the people in the daycare/ boarding group plays grab the dogs by the collars that they put on them and would yank them so hard that their front feet would come off of the ground, or they would drag them around by the collars I called multiple times and nothing was done about it. It just disgusts me that they would allow that. And the fact that they have leashes but don’t use them. The grooming girls are great but that’s about all I can say positive for this place.

I bring my pup there for well almost everything. They do her teeth, nails & daycare/play time as a reward for her being a good girl. She has black nails so it's easy to hit the quick. That's why I stopped going to my previous groomer it seemed like every time they told me they hit it. Where as here they almost never have that issue. As an added benefit they have cameras so I can watch her play while she's there for daycare. It's my favorite show!

my dog Kayla went for boarding over New Year weekend. She has never boarded before so we were a little nervouse about how she would act. we enjoyed watching her on the webcams and we were pleased to see all of the dogs getting along. Kayla is a fluffy ball of energy at home. she came home tired and relaxed from all the playing she got to do during her stay. We will definitely be boarding her here again.

Very friendly place. My lab goes wild when she knows she's going there. I love that I can watch her in their live webcams.

They traumatized my dog every time I brought my dog in for a groom. He used toLove getting his nails done, now he’s too afraid to have me touch his arms. No longer taking my dog back to this place. Also heard lots of bad things have happened here.

Absolutely outstanding facility. Large outdoor run, with obstacles and pools in the summer; Multi-camera web cam; plenty of staff; very clean. We bring both our dogs there. The socialization is and added benefit. Highly recommend.

We were good going in. Easy check in. No problems there which is why I gave 2 stars. Issues came for pickup. They could not locate my dog, kept asking me to look on the screen. He was not on there, had several different people looking for him, having me re-explain his body size and markings. One actually asked me if I was sure he wasn't a smaller dog lol yes I'm sure I didn't misconstrue his 70lb potato figure. Truly you couldn’t miss him, he had at drop off a lion themed cone of shame. Also kept showing me someone else’s leash and someone else’s dog bowl/food on the side of the wall for pickup. It took a solid 20mns to locate my dog to which his cone was removed so his paws and ears were all inflamed, broken skin, scabs. I was fuming as it was not their place to remove his cone but what can you do when the damage is already done. Turns out he was in his kennel per one of the staff coming forward with him… I thought that odd, wouldn’t that be the first place to look? Chars food bowl was never recovered, however I get did get his cone and leash back which was brought in a plastic bag they had somewhere behind the desk. The return was just a mess and I learned that Char doesn’t have access outside his kennel to go potty between 9pm - 7am being an older pup, haven’t been back since.

Weekend hours are a plus. We have brought our dog here several times for day care and never have had an issue. Cameras are also convenient.Be aware there is a free but required orientation before your first full visit. Plan ahead!

If I could give less than 0 stars I would.I took my 13 week old Golden here. I was told he would be put in a room with dogs his size and slowly introduced. As we started watching the cameras my puppy was put in with large size adult dogs that just pummeled him and no human was anywhere to be found. This continued until we picked him up.Upon picking him up the unaware and incompetent woman at the front insisted he was having fun and had a good visit while we watched the camera behind her and again my puppy was getting pummeled. When receiving my puppy he was drenched? The nerve of them to say it was saliva when clearly he was soaked with a hose was extremely upsetting. My puppy was traumatized for 2 days. This is the worst daycare for dogs I have ever experienced. With no support from the owner I would not recommend this place to anyone who owns a pet. Please note the response of the owner is with many inconsistencies. My dogs name is not maverick. My dog is going to be a therapy dog in a year. The only nervousness we had was due to the staffs behaviors. We did not stay 20 min to watch the cameras. There was no human in sight that is why my puppy was getting pummeled over and over. Even upon picking him up he was being pummeled while we were looking at the cameras.Your inconsistency about the truth is truly unsettling to protect your staff. If you cannot even get the pets name right how can anyone trust the validity of your response..I understand you feel the need to protect your staff but that does not excuse the experience we had .After speaking with multiple dog trainers and other facilities, they all expressed the concerns and were shocked that my dog was just thrown in without a screening or slowly introduced to a small amount of dogs first.

The staff is amazing! They have live feed video, so you can peak in on your 4 paw whenever you like until 4:30pm. Open 7 days a week for daycare. And my baby comes home exhausted every time she goes there. They have different areas for dog play and cool down. They rotate the dogs(size wise) in and out all day. Always have staff supervising and giving lots of pets and hugs. Love this place! Also clean and reasonably priced.

We started taking Harley (Lab) here because we had heard such great things from others! She loves going to daycare and grooming there! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! They are very organized and the facility is very clean! They also have cameras, so you can check on your dog throughout the day. You can bring food for your dog and the staff will feed your dog per your dog’s feeding schedule. If your dog has special needs, they are typically able to accommodate. Harley has seizures, so we needed a place we could trust. Hound Around Resort is that place. Definitely recommend and encourage others to check out!

I would highly recommend hound round. My pups Jude and Rocco love hound around. Jude been going to hound around for three years. All I need to say is hound around he pops up and wants to go. The staff and owners are always so friendly and welcome you and your pups any day or time. I use the daycare for them. The place is clean. They have a web cam you can watch your pups while they are there. Wonderful place to bring your pups.

I never was a fan of leaving my dog/dogs with people I do not know from horrible stories from others and news sources.Always been the type to either leave with parents or bring them with. After losing my dog of almost 12 years. I got a puppy and new I’d have to socialize him a lot. I figured I’d try a daycare to get his energy and socialize with other dogs. This place is wonderful and with the cameras you can watch them and check in on them. You can even call and see how they are doing. It’s a great place And my puppy always comes back tired out and sleepy.

Hound around is one of the best places I have brought my dog whether it’s for daycare or boarding. The staff is friendly, they truly get to know your dog and treat them like one of their own! The prices are some of the best in the area! The outdoor play area is amazing and our lab Kona practically jumps out of the car when we pull into parking lot she’s so excited!

I just brought my 6 month old puppy there for his very first grooming. I was nervous about how he’d do but the staff was very calm, friendly, and welcoming. When I picked him up I was 100% happy with his haircut! He was so cute! They were honest about how he did and although he was scared for parts, they reassured me that they thought he did well for his first time. I was really happy to find out they have a Frequent Groomer Club as well! We will definitely be using Hound Around Grooming as our regular go to groomer!

Highly recommend Hound Around for Dog Daycare and Boarding and consider them top notch. We have been bringing our dogs there for many years. The staff has always taken wonderful care of our dogs and are extremely attentive to them. It is so nice to pick up our dogs at the end of the day and they let us know what kind of day they had -- if they played with another dog, if they made a new friend, if they enjoyed the pool or if they just simply sun bathed. You will not find a more caring establishment that truly loves pets.

I have been bringing my dogs to Hound Around Resort since they opened. One of my labs is getting up there in age and now requires special care. I completely trust the staff there and they have done a wonderful job making sure all his needs are met. You can tell they truly love and care about the dogs. They have exceeded any and all of my expectations. Highly recommended.

I will not be bringing my dog back to Hound Around Resort. I was very disappointed after boarding my 6 month old puppy there for 7 days. I called to check him several days (4 to be exact) and I was told each time that he was doing “great”. I had arranged for him to be bathed and his nails clipped before I picked him up. Upon arriving, I was told that he had several bumps on his head and body but they had no idea where they came from. I noticed once I got him in the car that he wasn’t himself. Once I got him home, I had to pretty much carry him upstairs. He was extremely lethargic, runny nose and yellow crud in his eyes. I called back that night and asked if something had happened and was told no. He slept from the time he got home until noon the next day. By this time his runny nose was getting worse, along with his breathing. I tried to get him into Oakdale ER but they were on bypass and a 4 hour wait with Como Park. I called again and asked if there were sick dogs and I was told No. we watched him very carefully on Sunday and when the Vet opened on Monday got him in. He has a bad case of Kennel cough, and an eye infection. I understand that sickness may happen. What I find reprehensible is the fact that I called and checked on him and was told he was doing great. There is no way he got that sick without someone noticing IF they were monitoring the dogs. And, I should have been called. I talked to the owner on Tuesday and explained my frustration. She indicated that she was going to do some addl checking and get back to me. That was Tuesday Morning, September 1. I haven’t heard anything. So disappointing. As stated will not be returning.*********************** 9/8/20 I have checked my voicemails and call logs and although you indicate in your response that you called me back, you may have called the wrong number but you did not call my phone or leave a voicemail. And, again, it is not the point of Zeus getting sick, my husband and I both understand that might occur when using a facility like yours. The disturbing part to me is appears that the dogs are not being monitored as closely as they should be. As I called several times to check on Zeus while I was out of town. He also has several bite marks (bumps) that I was informed by your staff about that he did not have prior to being there. Because as I have indicated above, he was extremely sick and is still sick. And, yes, his sister, Red did also contract Kennel Cough at your facility. They were both 6 1/2 months old at the time they stayed at your facility AND, Zeus had not been around other dogs up to 2 months prior to the his stay at your facility. I also lost $140 in training costs as he will not be able to attend due to getting sick.

Owners simply turn off Facebook reviews to try and hide when things happen. No hiding Google reviews though! Too bad they let a little dog get shook to death though. I would rethink using this facility.Edit: only to further prove my point, some woman sought me out on Facebook to harass me about this review apparently. She started off by basically calling me stupid. Reviews are turned off on Facebook but not here, though they can't argue here. How productive of them. Had she approached me differently, I might've heard her out vs just blocking her.
