Went to Cold Spring DQ on April 26th and I can say as someone who grew up in the area it was a disappointment. We ordered the Honey BBQ strips, not only was there very little sauce the BBQ sauce tasted gross, definently not usual. Futher, the pop more than likely needed the syrup changed because that also didn't taste right. The bathroom had one area closed off, and the one that was open was out of paper towels. Overall, the experiance was not great. The only peice that was redeeming was the dilly bar and fries were good. The employees were friendly, but the remainder of the experiance needs to be changed. Truly a sad experiance and hope that this is a one off experiance.

29 dollar order for 2 meals, toast, onion rings and blizzard ( they forgot to bring out)were correct. Flamethrower was over sauced making bun soggy and far too spicy to enjoy, 6 pc bbq chicken strips were doused in bbq sauce and the fries were past hold time as they were soggy. We wanted garlic parmasan but they were out. very disappointed with our visit.

Normally my review of the Cold Spring dq would be a five, we usually come during normal lunch dinner time and we have never had any problems. Food looks better then fast fast food and the service is always good. However tonight my husband had to stop around 7:20 he was running late from work and stopped to get a late dinner. The service was bad. They kept messing up basic orders. He got home and we set up to eat and could tell that the quality was not normal. Fries are cold and old (we live 2 mins away) burger thrown together in a mess and my strawberry chocolate shake and the smallest amount of chocolate I've ever had from there. As a food service worker myself I can tell this was just people who wanted out for the night and no longer cared. This is not an option while still open. I truly hope they do better at night. Day/ afternoon please keep on doing wonderful, you are awesome.

As I pulled up the girl on the headset just quickly said “what can I get for you?” Five seconds later quickly asked the same thing again. Felt a little too pushy and not friendly at all. It took about 10 minutes for the car in front of us to get their food, we almost just left. When we got to the window one of the boys were just playing on his phone by the window. One of the pieces of my chicken was like an inch an a half long. The service was just not great and neither was the food. Not impressed, I’ll stick with the A&W.

Don't go here ever!!! The place was super sketchy and dirty. Employee coughed into his hand and then made my blizzard, super gross. My small chicken strip basket took about 10 minutes to be made. The kitchen behind the counter was so disgusting, and the knives were just left out. The ranch i got looked chunky and I think it was expired. And the chicken strips were more like chicken pebbles. And prices were nuts!!!Overall, very dissatisfied and I hope I don't get food poisoning.

Probably the worst Dairy Queen I've ever had. The pretzel sticks were chewy and tough, maybe over cooked in a microwave? The queso was super hot and had a layer of solid on top, absolutely disgusting. It was also a super small portion compared to every other Dairy Queen I've been to.Only plus was someone working gave me two quesos and the workers were very nice. The food quality is probably not the workers fault, seems to be poor management. I've worked in food...Pay your workers better and have more of them, maybe!

It was the worst DQ experience ever. No communication, no respect, flies everywhere, bathroom stunk like piss and the floor looked like it had been cleaned with just water. The drive thru person was texting, the two girls were just talking Spanish like I didn't understand. One of our orders was melted and the only one willing to help was the white kid. I'm Mexican and seriously that was messed up. Soo yeah, will never stop there again. Ever. Have a good one.

7/28/3 6:30 pm Just terrible. Wait time at ordering: forever. Then wait over 30 min for your food. Ordered the chili CHEESE dog only to get a chili dog. I asked for the cheese but noticed the extremely dry "chili" so I asked for a new one. I got the same one, kid thought the solution was stick it in the microwave. Like I said before terrible. If you have another choice go there. This place will end up closed like the hardees they had in town earlier this year.

Went through the drive thru with the family just for icecream and our blizzards were runny. Toppings were literally just on top, not mixed in. DQ literally promises to flip your Blizzard around in front of you, or you will receive a coupon good for a free Blizzard on your next visit. Yes, even at the drive-thrus. I have never been to a location that doesn’t do this, if they would have turned ours upside down they would have immediately poured out on the ground. Never going here again, looking at reviews this is normal and people keep coming here lol

I went to get food today and had to come back because my food was not fresh. And I ordered a large onion ring to only get a small. I noticed how there are alot of teens running the place and I feel as if my order would not have been messed up if there wasn't a grown man standing there lurking on the teens. Disgusting and bad image.

Consistently bad service. Personnel at this location appear to be there to hang out and make themselves drinks. No one cares about the customer and the service is downright rude. BLIZZARDs are always runny and sit on the counter far too long before someone finally decides to hand them over. My husband had to wait almost 50 minutes (in drive-thru) when he ordered food with ice cream (which should have been made last, it was a runny mess from the moment he got it). He also noticed a missing burger, which they said wasn't made because they didn't have a bun for it, but no one bothered to let him know or give an option to order something else. He was just told we weren't charged for it. WOW. Super frustrating experience all around. Probably will not come back at this point.

We stopped in on our way home to pick up burger meals and sundaes to go. We received our sundaes with no covers or carrier...waited 15 min. (by now our ice cream was sugar milk)... finally to get our soggy fries and gross watery pops...I'm telling you I don't know what they gave us, but it was not the four Sprites we ordered. Plus the staff was speaking in Spanish...which seems really rude, because who knows what they are saying about the customers or orders they are filling. I wouldn't waste your time or money stopping in here. Seriously drive to Richmond for A&W or Annandale DQ for some good food and service.

I got the $7 3 piece chicken strip meal deal and upgraded to a royal blizzard. The fudge in the blizzard had a sour taste. When I pulled back up to the window to tell them, the worker was on their phone, looked at me, and waited to come to the window. A different worker came to the window to help me. They claimed that three fudge is supposed to have that taste. I've never had that from that DQ or any other one I've been to. I also asked for more of the gravy because they barely gave me any. When I got the second cup, it had a burnt film over it as if they don't stir it throughout the day. I only got like 10 fries with the meal and they were soggy. I usually never have a problem with this dairy queen but today was not the day. And the workers weren't very helpful in trying to correct the problem, giving attitude.

Very rude employee.I requested to change my one item while I was still at the back ordering screen. I was ignored. I waited for some time before a women came on the screen. She was rude and interrupted me each time I tried to answer her until I finally pulled up to the front window. Had I known it would have upset her so much, I would have just added an item vs changing the item. She could not understand my request for a different advertising flavor. How could she while yelling at me plus lying about the fact that nothing was made. The one blizzard was melting over the cup. She did NOT do a upside down tip with that blizzard. She did a half tip with the other one blizzard. The blizzards would not pass the upside down test.There was also no common sense. How could she think 1 person could carry three items while driving? The order should have been presented with a carrying tray. Asking for the tray set off her “under her breath” mumbling. She pushed that tray at me as fast and hard as she could and turned around. She didn’t respond when I thanked her for my items.I understand why they are having a hard time finding employees, if you treat customers this way, the employee treatment can not be any better. To be fare, by the end I became firm and no longer backed down to her belittling behavior.Please don’t respond with the repeated same old response which means nothing when they seem to be copy and pasted. Each concern has taken their time to share their experience only to help your establishment improve. It’s obvious there is a problem that isn’t being heard.I regret my past gift certificates I purchased as I do not support nor pay to be treated poorly.Why would anyone support a restaurant which is slow, poor food, & unacceptable customer service?This is an opportunity to re-train your employees specially the rude manager. Customers are job security plus the owners livelihood. A&W is just down the road on hwy 23 with plenty of employees, hot fast food, and positive customer service.I’m not returning for rude service, dripping (melting over the lip of the lid) blizzards, nor pay for someone to disrespect me. I will, although give the restaurant another chance AFTER they correct there issues and I’m “GUARANTEED” respectful service with decent food. Only then can I change my review.UPDATE:I reached out immediately with no reply what so ever.

This is the worst place I have ever has the displeasure of visiting, I have been here on multiple occasions and the owner is a rude cruel person, on multiple occasions I have caught her talking about how bad her employees are and refuses to do anything about it, she obviously prefers quantity over quality of workers. She is mean to workers straight to their face too, she needs to learn some of her employees are still young, yet she treats them horribly. Grumbling and yelling at any mistake her employees make. Do not go here.

First I had to wait for 5 minutes then they tell me to wait I didn't hear what they said so I started ordering then very rudely told me to wait so I did whe. I did order I ordered one med blizzard 2 minis and a med shake at the window they had 3 med blizzards and 2 minis I told him what we ordered and he said they couldn't do the shake so what ever took what they had and left and the ice cream was already melted by the time we got home 4 minutes away I would give zeros stars but I can't never going back
