With living here in cokato it sucks that we don’t really have another option too close because prices are so high. The only other thing is alot of the food we get and bring home we find out is expired either after we’re eating it or after it’s gone. Finally started checking at the store, but my husband came home with ice cream and opened it and it was completely freezer burnt, and the date was literally expired over 6 months ago. How can you be a grocery store and sell expired food all the time, it needs to be regulated somehow because it’s either just being lazy or to make more $$$.

Best donuts made fresh. They go super fast on weekends (early mornings). Make sure to stop at the "Reduced Price" area (in the back by the sodas). It's great if you kid(s) are as hungry as mine! $1 real Frosted Flakes last time. We got 6. 😁👍 most items are soon to expire but in our house they don't stay very long anyhow

The store is clean and the produce fresh. They are more expensive than your local Walmart but that is understandable. They have a wonderful bakery that is better than your local stores and convenient stores. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I recommend shopping there.

I was able to find everything I needed with ease. The store is always clean. The isles were nice and wide; nothing was cluttered, and the store was not crowded.Most of the employees seem happy and helpful.*Update 3/1/2022: They have rearranged some of the isles. And moved some things to a different area completely. So be prepared to hunt around for certain things.Other than that, everything else is still great!

Employees are helpful and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Relatively clean. The bakery is excellent. Mask usage for customers is around 50 percent in my experience. Overall it's a pretty average rural grocery store with epic donuts.

It's ok. Typical small-town store. It's not an especially big place, so don't expect much variety of any one kind of product. Also, don't expect many "high-end" products, as the surrounding community ain't exactly Edina....the baked goods are fairly delicious tho...

Not like your typical market place you see around I would have to say. The others are top notch, this location needs a serious face lift. It has all the potential In the world to be a world class grocery store but looks are deceiving by a long shot. Their meat department is very sought after, especially the brisket. Was all out when I visited tonight. Try another time.

I went in there on the way home to Rockford to get a couple of things and I had to wear a mask they were also cleaning off the counters after every customer.it is a nice store and they have a good selection of products and the checkout person was very nice. The only downfall is that they are rather expensive compared to Cub in Walmart where I usually go.

Very nice store. Friendly staff, they seemed more engaging than most small shop workers. Store was well stocked, had quite a variety and I found what I was looking for right away. Prices were comparable on some items, and sales were decent.

Great meat, produce and dairy departments; I always buy these items from here, even if they are cheaper at walmart becuase I like the quality and taste. Most staff is helpful and friendly. Sometimes there are long lines, not a lot. Watch dates on some items.

This is a little hidden gem of a grocery store. My parents drive 20 miles out of there town to go here and I see why. Produce is well displayed and looks great. Second to none meat department with friendly workers with both knowledgeable and helpful advice. Large enough selection of products to revival the largest chain stores with still a small town feel.

The Market Place in Cokato is the only real grocery store in town. Therefore it lacks competition and their prices tend to be a bit high. They do run some good specials at times. It's a nice and clean store and they certainly carry a good variety.

Ever notice how thier prices are so much higher then everyone else? We don't come here very often only for that reason we love thier selection and we like thier meat better they are just to expensive and with everything going up in price we will go somewhere else

Cokato is very fortunate to have such a great grocery store. It basically has everything a major grocery store in a large city carries. I've been trying out a lot of new recipes, and keep thinking, "I've never heard of that ingredient. There is no way I'm going to find that at the store." To my amazement, I almost always find it.

Management staff isn't friendly. Got a ban for coming up see wife when she worked there. Never told me what ban was. Dj the manager will ban you for anything and if u complain about store he will ban you. If u call and try talk to Bob he will ban you. If u talk to staff and say hi he will ban you. All the Management staff is hateful. Don't shop here and complain to them or they will ban you. Your not allowed say hi staff either or u get a ban

Cokato Lake RV Resort

Great selections offered here! While selling 2nd home/"glamping" properties to the many visitors at Cokato Lake RV Resort I am always asked about nearby shopping band happy to share our nearby Marketplace and what a great asset this store is to our RV Park guests. I often pick up my own groceries from here rather than at home due to ease of access and what they offer. Prices are good and there is ALWAYS a fantastic price in a meat cut of the week.

The new meat manager has no sense of customer service, I was not greeted with a hello just a “what do you want”. He said it in a smug attitude that us as customers don’t mean anything and gave me a look like go away I don’t want you here. I don’t think that’s very appropriate for the business.

Jaeger Ohm has this place in tip top shape. You can tell he rules with an iron fist and a delicate touch. JayZ has a great supply of donuts. I just wish they would move the Mountain Dew back up by the registers.

Great selections competitively priced awesome butcher huge deli hot and cold selections, fresh baked bakery items. Check out can be a bit of a wait but always friendly cashiers.
