What a fantastic place to go eat, everything was delicious. Such a cool old school vibe. Great place to take your kids and even your dog, they have a kids playground and a dog park. Amazing fries and shakes, my strawberry shake was unreal, full of delicious strawberry. They accommodate gluten sensitivities with a gluten free bun.

It was surprisingly not very busy when we visited after they'd opened at eleven. I use a wheelchair at times and it was easily accessible on the side near the restroom. I enjoyed my usual Wild Rice burger and my husband had a bacon cheeseburger. Pleasant conversation with a couple who sat near us. Grateful for Gordy's! Iconic place we have enjoyed many years - and planning on a few more times this season.Vegetarian options: Wild Rice burger 😊! Their salads are good too!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy for my husband to use the ramp near restroom side to help me in using the wheelchair .

I just found out about this place a week ago with my scout troop on the way from Minneapolis to Northern Tier High Adventure in Ely, MN. Gordy's was recommended by our bus driver as a good lunch spot. It is excellent in every way. Great food, awesome shakes, good prices, fast service. Big parking lot for boats, busses, etc. We liked it so much that we requested another opportunity to eat there on the way home. Two great meals. All the best in the future. We hope to be able to visit again soon. Cheers from Louisville, KY!!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Also has a fenced in dog run. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Great bathrooms.

The Hi-Hat has an old time feels to the shop and adds some pizzazz and fun to the overall feel. Plenty of outdoor seating with an employee announcing orders being completed over the intercom.Very friendly staff, excellent food, and very quick to get your orders even during busier times. I have zero complaints for this establishment. They also have their warming house next door where you can get some coffee, ice cream, and other treats and desserts afterwards.

We enjoyed the fish sandwich, bacon cheeseburger, fries and onion rings, with a mountain dew and an oreo shake. The fish sandwich had four pieces of fish on it. It was great, and we are super happy we tried it. The bacon cheeseburger had great flavor and was a classic diner cheeseburger. The onion rings were good, but the fries were even better. We ordered an order of onion rings and a medium order of fries, and that was way too much food. If you are a party of two, I would recommend a small frie and a half order of onion rings.

We belong to a burger facebook group and it’s told that Gordy’s is a must. We were on our way to Duluth and made the stop. We walked and the place was packed with long lines, but those lines were moving fast. We ordered the bacon double. Good burger, good flavor and the bacon was definitely flavorful. The bun was huge. We also got the spicy chicken burger. This is cayenne peppered breast of chicken with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and kosher pickle. Now finally someone knows how to Mayo on a sandwich. It needed more pickle because we only got 2 little pickles. We had to take a tomato off because there was 2 thick cut slices which made it extra messy and hard to keep together. Good flavor. We also got the onion rings. We were told these are legendary. We were a bit disappointed because when you picked one up all the breading fell off. We will say it was a fluke and try them again. We got Guy Fieri blackberry handcrafted shake. Definitely good but maybe a different flavor next time. Now those fries! AMAZING! The best fries I’ve ever had. Crispy, flavorful and a lot of them. We also had the chili. Not a fan. It was too sweet and to chunky, but that’s personal preference. The staff was amazing. Fun and courteous. This will be our go to place when heading to the North Shore!

I don't make the trip up to The Range too often, but when I do, there is a compulsory stop at Gordy's Hi-Hat. It never disappoints. They were pretty busy still on the Tuesday after Memorial Day, but the service was fast. A double Cheeseburger for my travel companion and a Deluxe Bacon Cheeseburger for me plus a half order of Onion Rings -- we were stuffed. People move in and out pretty fast and there is a fair amount of takeout, so we didn't have any trouble getting a table.

Gordy's is great. It can be slow to get your stuff depending on timing. I took this picture right when we got in line. Took about 40 minutes between arrival and receiving our food, but we caught it at the very busiest on a Sunday. The burgers are always 💯, the fry servings are generous, and the fresh-fruit shakes are delicious. Last time I went, had the spicy chicken sandwich - really good, but I'd still say go for the burger.

Saw it on a list for great burgers so made it our ride destination and we were not disappointed. You went through a line to order gave you a number but it went fast. The food was great and you got alot of it. The place had a dog park, picnic tables in a roofed building, a totally separate building for restrooms which was very clean and a sandwich/coffee/ice cream shop. It also had alot of parking including for campers, boats or buses. It was great find not disappointed.

Gordy's Hi-Hat does a fantastic job serving up classic diner style burgers and fries. The little America flags adorning every burger is a really fun addition.I was intimidated by the long line when we arrived but the staff moved efficiently and quickly. After ordering you are given an order number for when your food is ready. Staff read this number over a PA system so you can comfortably wait inside or outside of the restaurant. This system really helps disperse the large number of people waiting for food.Even if the line is long I would highly suggest getting in line to experience the Americana.

Went in for a quick grab and go while I was on my break, not going to lie. Seen it on DD&D and knew it was just down the street so had to go. The food was really good and was definitely worth the wait (they were packed). Ordered the double cheeseburger, fries and the raspberry shake, was definitely not disappointed. Would most definitely go back to this location. Super friendly staff and the food is definitely worth trying out 😁

As soon as I walked in, I was met with a wave of retro nostalgia. Checkered floor and classic rock and roll music, the smell and sound of burgers and fries sizzling, and the sound of orders being called over the PA system. Low prices for classic food quality. The staff were friendly and were able too hear my entire order despite the loud atmosphere. Plenty of seating available, both inside and outside. Took about 4 minutes to get the food, which was delicious. Burger was decent sized and juicy, fries were crisp and not too salty (we ordered a regular and received almost a pound of fries). The bathrooms were also neat and tidy.Overall great experience, would definitely recommend stopping in if you're in the area.

Even though I am giving it a thumbs up but the thumb wants to to turn a bit. First, the food is good, but you get more veggie toppings which can be good or bad on the burger and can get a bit messy. Second, the onion rings could of use a crunch and flavor but were actually good and the bite through was flawless. Good job on that. Third, the atmosphere is good and family friendly, but it is a bit tight than I want it to be and due to the amount of people and small spacing, it was noisy. Overall, Gordy is good to go to for something local instead of booger king or any other fast food chains. I had a Bacon deluxe with onion rings and a chocolate shake. It can get a bit pricey.

A true throwback to the 1950’s. Fantastic theme restaurant with a very full menu. Excellent burgers and fries but much more on the menu. Definitely indulge yourself with a milkshake. Very popular with locals, but my family can’t drive past without making a stop. Plenty of parking. Attached outdoor dog park and play area for kids. Something Cloquet can be very proud of. A multi-generation family business with character. 10/10 would recommend!

There’s a reason the line for Gordy’s Hi Hat stretches out the door. Buttttt… there’s also a reason you get your order placed within 5-8 minutes of arriving. The food is excellent, and the service matches (exceeds).Gordy’s is the ideal place to stop on the way to or from Northern Minnesota. The fish sandwich and chips basket are delicious, with freshly caught fish, and the fries are brilliant.Don’t forget to order a shake - there are plenty of flavors to choose from and this sure is dairyland.- H 🌍.

Best burgers in Cloquet. Some of my favorite burgers up North. Not that I have been everywhere and had every burger, but two of my other favorites in the state are Shamrocks in St. Paul and the Breeze Inn in Duluth also make a really good burger. But! Gordy's is a great spot to stop at on your drive up north. The staff is super friendly and the burgers come out piping hot and fast. Couldn't tell you about the rest of the menu because double cheeseburgers are all I care about and they are some of the best in the whole state of Minnesota.Keep up the great work, please!
