Great place to stay! Everyone was friendly and facsimiles where clean. They offer to pick up trash and bring wood to your site. Loved they even offer fun things for the kids to do. Farthest site is still walkable to the pool/playground/bathrooms/showers/lodge. And all with close distance to Jay Cooke, Cloquet, and even Duluth. Only negative I'd say is the trains the go by and blow their horn, but that is not something they can control.

We stayed on Site 9, Independence Day weekend, 2023 - Full hook ups. NO SHADE. Everything is very clean and well maintained. Pools, showers, bathrooms very good. Very kid friendly. Tight campsites, really packed in, ZERO privacy anywhere here. This is a great basecamp to leave during the day and explore the north shore. Staff was kind and trustworthy, zero issues with staff or facilities. The train was not a big deal, it was fun to see and hear them roll by.

This KOA is probably one of the best ones I have stayed at.The campground is very well kept, bathrooms clean, easy to get around, and the entire staff was wonderful. We did a 3 month stay at this campground (so we got to know people pretty well lol) and I would highly recommend it for anyone medically traveling (even for the duluth area)The owners were incredibly accommodating and very kind.I would definitely stay here again.Yes, there is a train but it really wasn’t a problem, and I work overnight so I had to sleep during the day.

Smaller KOA located a short distance from the highway. Tight campsites but pretty well maintained. Friendly staff but not too friendly. Small dog agility and exercise area on a back road/dog trail. We had 30 amp hookup and water, gravel pad that was reasonably level.Had to laugh though at the people walking around or sitting outside the office trying to get a wifi signal. If you’re going to advertise a service, it should work when needed.Other than that, nice park with some highway and train noise but not overly so

Best koa I've ever stayed in... the people who own it are very friendly and by far the most accommodating people I've ever seen they go way above and beyond to make sure people have the sites they want and have a great stay. The workers are also amazing and fast and work very hard... they are always working on something back n forth busy and always friendly ... btw their bundles of wood are HUGE compared to anywhere around.

This smaller typical Journey KOA was nice and convenient for the one night we spent there. Close enough to Duluth for us go into town and see some of the sights. Gravel, dirt, and grass sites were level enough and the campground was clean and fairly well maintained. Staff was friendly.

Went to a bday party for my friend's daughter. My daughter had a blast. They have an outdoor pool . Nice setting. Nice campground. Unimpressed with toilet house . My daughter was afraid to sit on the toilet because of the layer of mold on the bottom looked like it might of been poop. She didn't want to pee on somebody else's poop. I tried to explain it wasn't poop. Try explaining that to a three year old ,lol! I had a good time too, was surprised about how many agates I found here. They were everywhere!!!

Was very disappointed in this koa..the location was fine but you as a camper had no space.. the sites are so cramped and then you have doors facing with people you don’t know.. the customer service was awful(multiple separate occasions we were given bad customer service from the very first night being told wrong directions(late arrival)to the next morning when I ask about a discount(site issues)and was told “we wouldn’t find a campground within a 100 miles with a vacancy” to when I ask the attended flushing our neighbors camper if he’d do our gray tank and was told “no”.. it was such a disappointing experience that we choose to only sleep there and not spend much time at the camper.. tried one night to have a fire but it was awkward with people right next to us. You spend 6 nights and $400+ dollars you expect a level of customer service and decency.. the campground also has so many rules(no this isn’t our first koa) the dog park was sketchy tucked in the back by abandoned junk and old equipment.. no grass at the dog park.. firewood was super expensive at $10 a bundle and then when they brought it it wasn’t even wrapped so who knows if I actually got a bundle or not. Plenty of better options in the area.. I think next time we’ll stay anywhere else(including a Walmart parking lot)

Never going back. Horrible customer service and the lady at the front desk would swear on the phone with no notice of the kids around her, the workers were okay but her. She was horrible. Me and my family all agree that we will never go back. The size of the camp space is fine it’s just I could be a bit wider because you don’t have much space

We camped here for a wedding nearby and will definitely come back! Everyone we interacted with was wonderful, the site was clean, quiet, and felt private (#44). The bathrooms were absolutely pristine. We didn’t have a chance to try the pool or playground but both looked great! Yes, there is a train nearby but it never woke my kids (3 and 6 months old). The drive to Duluth was quick and easy, Wal-mart literally 10 minutes away for anything you inevitably forget :)

The place was pretty much full when we were there, and not much space between sites, but we had a nice shady spot (#39) in the back which offered some privacy. The amenities were clean and in good shape, the pool was clutch on a 97 degree day, and the bathrooms and showers were well kept. Train tracks were very close and got loud when a train went by, but that was seldom and not for too long. The owners and staff were amazing, and accommodated a few special requests. I can't think of any reason for someone to not stay here, I know we will be back.

Daughter and I spent 2 nights in cabin K4. The location was convenient to the office/bath house. There was an odor in the cabin I couldn't identify - a cross between lumber and animal urine (I saw a squirrel go under the cabin). Opening the door and windows helped it dissipate. The staff was very nice, and the restrooms were clean and in good condition. We didn't use the game room or other amenities.

We arrived late at night, and our information was easy to locate. The campground was clean and well-maintained. The cabin was cozy and welcoming. We felt safe and comfortable throughout our visit. The only suggestion would be to update the satellite bathroom a bit.

Lovely campground with a pool, hot tub, nice little playground and some sites and cabins have a porch swing! Yes some campsites! It's beautiful up here and I can't wait to return!

Not a good stay for us.... When we checked in, they told us that they shut off the water to all the sites and closed the satellite bathrooms because it got down to 28 degrees the night before... But at no point was there a discount, a reduced rate, or even a free bundle of firewood! $10 for a gas station size bundle is ridiculous! The yard lights shining directly into our camper all night was awful... My family is not urbanites, that was super annoying...They were getting ready to shut down for the season, and in my perspective, that was very apparent... I get it, this is MN and pipes freezing is never a good thing, but at the same time, we're supposed to hold water in our campers without any issues?? At least charge less if you don't offer the same amenities you did when I booked a month ago!Not what I would consider a pleasant "camping" experience... We will not be back...

This is a great campground (not a hotel but they do have camper cabins) The owners and staff are very kind and the campground, bathrooms, and showers are always nice and clean. It is a great location to get on the bike trail, go whitewater rafting, or drive into Duluth.Nearby activities: The campground is close to the bike trail, Jay Cooke State Park, Whitewater rafting nearby, and less than a 30 minute drive into Duluth

So far, my stay has been amazing! The campground is well kept and maintained. The store seems to always be well stocked and staffed.Bathrooms have been very clean, and well stocked. And the showers are clean and very private as well.I have a feeling that I will be staying here again!

I really liked this KOA--it was clean and had all the necessities and was only a short drive to Duluth. The only downsides were that it was really busy (could have been because it was peak season) and that some of the tent sites were super small (I was a bit worried that a car would hit my tent coming around the bend and I couldn't pitch it any further in due to the roots). I might have just drawn a short straw with that spot though as many of the other ones look extremely nice!

The Cloquet MN KOA is one of the best kept secrets. The staff are wonderful and the place is clean and well run. In the 8 stays I have had we have never had an issue. This time it was a family event with over 60 people and they were wonderful. I can 100% recommend this location for a long or short stay with as little as one or as many as you can book. We are planning next year already.

We went to this KOA in 2019 and liked it so we decided stayed again for the Duluth Airshow. The bathrooms were clean and our site was great (we had a full hookups)! They have a hot tub and a pool which were clean and maintained. It is located outside of Sanborn so convenient to Duluth and activities there. They have activites including an ice cream social on Sat nights. We'll stay there again when we're in the area

Our family has been coming here since 2009. Fun place to camp with the family. The staff is fabulous. They are always friendly, helpful, and have even kept us all safe in a severe storm. We have camped with both large and small groups, tents and campers, brought dogs, and have always had a great time. The facilities are well maintained, clean, and there are things to do for everyone in the group. We love it, and will be back.

Cloquet Duluth KOA is a clean friendly and great family campground. Owners and staff are amazing. We come North every year sometimes twice (hopefully next year 2 trips again) and we always stay here because it’s clean quiet and safe. We love exploring and visiting during the day and coming back to the campground to relax with our nightly fires. We started bringing our young son here in 06 and now our new granddaughter for her 1st trip at 6 months old. Att rating- we have never been disappointed!

Great smaller, well kept campground. Our site was a pull though, very level with a nice lawn, picnic table and fire pit. Helpful friendly staff. We really enjoyed this one.
