Used to drive by this place all the time not knowing about the treasures it contained. Stopped because the kids in the backseat were doing all the roadtrip things kids do.And so it began.It has become a regular destination for food now. We pile in the vehicle and drive the 45 minutes because it’s that good. The restaurant has big portions and low prices with great flavors to top it off. The country fried steak is my favorite. The onion rings are delish. The burgers are juicy and full of flavor. It’s hard to go wrong with anything.The kids (12 & under) meals are $7 and plenty of food for even the biggest of eaters. They also get $1 in game tokens for the games in outside the restaurant as well as ice cream at the ice cream counter afterwards.Don’t forget to grab a giant donut for tomorrow (or dessert) on the way out.Kid-friendliness: Kids are treated like royalty. They get $1 in game tokens and ice cream afterwards. Better than any fast food option!

This is hands down one of the best interstate restaurants in the country. I frequently travel all over the country for work, and visit a lot of restaurants in all 50 states. The high quality of food and service just can’t be beaten. Easily in my top 5 favorite restaurants for American fare in the country. The chicken fried steak is my go to for breakfast. It is juicy, and full of flavor. The sage is a perfect addition in the seasoning for a really traditional homestyle taste. The walleye sandwich is a perfect choice for lunch and dinner. Served on a fresh homemade hoagie roll, the overall quality is top notch. Good drinks made in the bar. Fresh breads and pastries made in the bakery. Fresh food made in the restaurant. It SHOULD go without saying, but this is one of the few places you can still say that about anymore. All the woodwork makes more a very cozy lodge style setting.Parking: Located inside the Clearwater Travel Plaza. There is no shortage of parking.Kid-friendliness: Family style setting

If u drive by you are missing some of the largest donuts in the country. 3.89$ is a great price and it's well worth it. A story to tell your friends back home.Uselly stop through to share with family and office staff

We love donuts, so we tried these based off a recommendation from someone else. While the size is incredible, the taste was not. There was an odd taste from the oil used to fry in and they seemed to be cooked too long with the amount of saturation. We purchased a bakers dozen that came to $40+, but wish we had tried them before purchasing so much. Save yourself some money and try one before buying multiples.

It is off highway 94 and famous for sweet delights. It is inside Holiday gas station store. Staff is very friendly and service was prompt. There are plenty of varieties of cookies and doughnuts and all of them are very large in size. They also have sit in restaurant.If you have sweet tooth, this is can’t miss in Minnesota.

The eye popping treats and sweets that you can get from the bakery case are absolutely the bomb diggity! This Fruity Pebbles donut thing was messy AF, but 100% worth it! 💯👍The one and only thing that caused me to rate four stars and not five, is the bakery case needs a little spiffing up on the inside. Maybe a little cleaning attention from Mama dukes! LOL

This place is amazing!!! They have one of my favorite restaurant menus with many great choices for food adventures. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. Our server Dawn was very good at guiding us through our eating adventure choices--great job!!! Of course, their fritter nugget french toast truly lives up to it's "world famous" claim. It is our favorite for sure. The garlic cheese bread was amazing too. If you haven't visited this place, add it to your "must do" list as it is truly a model for an almost-perfect dining establishment. We will be back soon.We stopped back again last week and had the best-ever hot beef sandwich. It is truly mouth-watering. This place seems to have endless great food options.

Update: 4/18/24 stopped for lunch and I had the hot roast beef. It was fantastic!Excellent breakfast. I had the fritter French toast and wild rice sausage. So good. Very busy but service was good. Highly recommend.

First time eating here very nice place very comfortable the atmosphere is great the service was great but at 8:30pm after I showered there I decided I was going to stay and eat breakfast..Don't think I'll be eating there again.I don't know I work up this way so we'll see

We were here a week ago and loved our meals. This time, we tried their meat pizza just to see how their pizza would be. This is not a pizzeria, however, it is amazing! They do have a bakery and their crust is perfect and not over seasoned. The sauce is one of the best pizza sauces I have ever tasted. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful, especially the cheese!

This place is GREAT. I work nearby so come here often to grab lunch. It is ALWAYS busy here at least every time I go, it's always bustling which is great to see. They have gigantic donuts and amazing pies, great personal pizzas and a build a sandwich line that's really popular. The ONLY thing I'd say is not always great is a few of the staff behind the counter don't seem to happy to be there or I've heard them be snarky with people. But it really is an awesome place.

I was skeptical as this is at a truck stop. Boy was I wrong! Best breakfast I've had in years!!!! Awesome food, and great service. The place was slammed, and they still got our food out in fairly quick time.I had the apple fritter French toast, and it was the best French toast I've ever had. Good eggs, hashbrowns and the sausage is great too. Highly recommend!

Ordered a firehause burger. It was better than most restaurants and beat fast food restaurants any day. I upgraded the side to french fries for an additional $3 dollars. The fries portion was very small, a bit disappointing. Also, I got a hot toddy drink, which did warm me up good. Recommended.

Food was ok - biscuits and gravy was missing some flavor and the biscuits were heavier than I like. Everything seemed a bit cold. My MIL got a heated caramel roll, but they must have microwaved it as it was hard. May try it again, but not sure. I will say, the donuts we brought home were really good.

I heard of this place 2 months ago when I was at a retreat in Plainvill MN. I missed the exit on my way home, but I was visiting St. Cloud and stopped on my way back.I was not expecting BIG DONUTS, BIG SANDWICHES, AND BIG COOKIES.Well, I indulged cause I'm not sure when I will be back.I got the Maple Bacon Long John, Chocolate covered, glazed, and glaze twist. Oh, and double chocolate chip cookie.I was hungry, so I got a Prime Rin sandwich. You can eat half and have the other for lunch the next day. THEY ARE BIG AND GOOD.They sell prepackaged bread, bagels, sausage, and more.For a gas station stop... NOT BAD. I see why it is a Minnesota fave.

Our server, Eric, was fantastic! My husband and myself were highly impressed with his service! He deserves more than five stars! Haven’t had that level of service in years. We will be back again and again! Not to mention the food portions are big. For the price we paid for the food, I didn’t expect to receive the amount we did. 100% will be back!

Love the food and service, but not today's visit. I left very frustrated after being ignored by multiple employees. I ordered a pizza (ignored for 5 minutes) while waiting in line to order a sandwich. After waiting 20 minutes, I go up to the counter, to be ignored for another 10 minutes. The cashier from the sandwich area came to help, and wanted to ignore me, but I kept talking. The first guy that ignored me for 10 minutes tells me that he just put it in. I understand being busy and short staffed, but where is the customer service? A 'Hey, I'll be right with you.' or even acknowledging my presence with a hello should be the bare minimum.
