Had to do a 34 here. No kidding this is gonna be my staging area from now on.Tons of parking, the food was good and plentiful, and the showers were hot and clean. The wifi was also decent in the restaurant.I really liked buying the frozen soup from the deli.

What a fantastic place to stop along your travels. Their food selection is phenomenal and the prices are perfect. The showers upstairs were very nice and clean! Highly recommended. 👌 5 🌟*edit* Thankfully I had a load going to Fargo so I got to stop a 2nd time here! This place is amazing. There is no other Petro built like this and has this type of customer service. Petro needs to take notes on how to operate a truck stop because Clearwater Travel Plaza surpasses any other Petro I have been to.Thank you! I'll be back eventually!

Nice stop off for trucker and auto travelers alike.The employees are friendly which indicates that this would be a good place to work.Included is a pic of a poster that includes job info. Let's face, if you are one of those, or if you know somebody who lost a job during the Biden Covid Scam, and are still living off the tax payers, it's time to get over it and become productive.

This use to be a good place to have a good meal back in the day when they had a section for professional drivers. Most Drivers can’t afford to waste 20-30 minutes to get seated at a table. It’s too bad because the food is awesome.

I definitely need to get people on to this food but even better was the young lady that works nights I left with a huge smile on my face this lady deserves a raise it was the best service I have had in a while ! Such a hard worker and knows her stuff when making food!!!

This is our number one, favorite place to stop on our many travels north to visit my husband's family. We love the plentiful parking, good layout, and the indoor facilities. There are plenty of amenities, though we have yet to try the restaurant, and lots of space for our daughter to walk around and stretch her legs. A lovely recent discovery was the toy and book section for kids!! The selection was great—not what you would expect from a "gas station" at all. The bathrooms have always been clean in my experience, though the ventilation could be improved.

The sandwiches are a little pricey but they are 100% worth it. The restaurant is also amazing. If there’s anything to complain about it that on the side with the conference room and gift shop, there’s only a woman’s bathroom and family bathroom. If you want a quick bite or an amazing pastry this is the place.

If you like giant donuts 🍩 😋 there pretty tasty needs a bit of a remodel showers especially old school truck stop but has full service restaurant,bar it's nice but understand why don't remodel like giving things away so busy so probably don't want to disturb a good thing.

1.) They have their own bakery. Everything is great here. Fresh bread, fresh pastries, fresh donuts, and they have espresso. Good truck parking area, easy access. Can’t wait to come back and try the restaurant!2.) Revisited: our second time around we dined in and enjoyed the restaurant. Very cozy atmosphere with nice woodwork decor. My wife got the Walleye Sandwich and the potato twisters, served with chipotle ranch. I got the chicken fried steak with hash browns, eggs, and fresh sourdough bread from their bakery. The steak had amazing flavor and was perfect. The Walleye was great, and the fresh hoagie it was served on was delicious. As a professional baker, I can confirm the quality of the bread and baked goods as top notch. Top notch service. Top notch flavor. Top notch quality across the board. Highly recommend to anyone. This is a true Country Gem.

I stopped for the bakery so can't comment on everything else they have here other than the restaurant looked nice & the store was well stocked. Overall the entire place was very busy, it's seems to be a popular stop, but it was also very well staffed & my wait was short. The donuts & pastries have to be seen & tasted to be believed. They're as big as a dinner plate, but delicious as well.

Stopped for fuel & doughnuts, fuel wasn't the cheapest around but the doughnuts made up for it ! Friendly staff that was eager to help was nice too. Wonderful amazing doughnuts! I can't say enough. I recommend getting a bear claw & cutting it into slices ! Or a maple bacon long john.

I absolutely love this place. Nelson Bros restaurant is one of the best restaurants, at a truckstop, in the country. You can get a sugar high just by staring at the multitude of varieties of pastries in their two large pastry cases. Their Donuts are sharable sized, if you're willing to share😂. The food is really good, I had spaghetti the first night, not as good as MY spaghetti and I would prefer parmesan cheese over cheddar and mozzarella on my spaghetti. The meat sauce was good, but the big chunks of tomatoes kind of overwhelmed the meat, and I'm not a big fan of linguini noodles in spaghetti. I had a grilled tuna sandwich for dinner the second day and if was fantastic. Next time I'll be trying another menu item, don't know what it will be yet but I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

This is NOT your typical Petro! This Petro is so much better! It has so many things to offer: a gift shop, a bakery and coffee shop, fantastic restaurant, clean showers and friendly staff. You gotta check out the bakery shop! They have gigantic cinnamon rolls and bear claws at a very reasonable price. If you don't want to eat at the inside restaurant, there are so many other restaurants that are in walking distance that you could go to.This place is really amazing.

Oh, boy! Where do I begin... I know the parking situation can get a little hairy, but Minneapolis area, right, come on!This place is sick!!! Lodge style showers! Full bar (pretty uncommon for a Petro or TA if I may add). Fantastic food! CLEAN!!! A+ guys! Keep it up!

We just stopped to stretch a bit. We were distracted by the incredible display of baked goods. We folded and bought a couple delicious apple turnovers for the road. This is one of our normal stops!10/20/19 - Visit:On the way to Rochester, we just had to stop here again... It is tradition now for our family! They have great restrooms and plenty of choices for eating. They even have a restaurant. This is the place to take a break from driving!

Extreme sized bakery goods at a fair price, good restaurant, always busy. Entrance into this aptly named travel plaza is easy; getting out can be a nightmare given the proscribed traffic flow in the parking lot as well as getting to the freeway entrance on a left turn. Worth the visit, great place to reload for the next leg of your trip. I recommend the cinnamon rolls, the chicken fried steak, and fair warning to parents: every kids meal comes with an ice cream cone and a couple tokens for the claw machines. There is an "odd" candy selection that seems to include some of almost everything including candied crickets..not joking.

This is the first time trying this place. The cheeseburger was moist and delicious. The lettuce and onions crisp and fresh. The fries were hot, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside (perfect!) Looking at other plates, the obvious huge portions of a truck stop but way better food! The burger wasn't geasy at all. We split the burger but each brought home a pie. So good! I'll be back.

They let us order supper right before closing. They had friendly employees, a wide variety of fresh baked goods. The donuts are the size of my head and everything is delicious. They even have Earls cheese puffs i had been looking for forever.

This place has friendly staff delicious pies and desserts but thier main dish foods have gone down in quality because thier soup tastes like it was from a packet/can instead of "homemade "so, I wouldn't recommend ordering thier soup.

This place has the BEST restaurant and bakery! 💜 The food is awesome and omgosh, the bakery has a HUGE selection of items. The sweet treats are huge!! I definitely recommend this place called Nelson Bros. inside of the Clearwater Travel Plaza!

First time here (Sunday). It was packed with people inside. Bathroom was closed, used other bathroom and it stank. The huge donuts looked cool, probably the only positive thing to note lol. Drivers in the parking lot were rude, not sure if it was because of the layout or not, but it felt dangerous. Several tried to cut me off in obnoxious ways on my way out of the parking lot while I was driving through on the main road out. I'll be avoiding this stop in the future, or only stopping in on weekdays.
