If you are out at Jay Cooke this os definitely worth the stop. I remember stopping by here on cold morning camping and it was outstanding. I was out hiking today and stopped by. The coffee was just right and the service is second to none. I wish I would have had time to enjoy my coffee with a book on a seat inside today. Do good. And dont forget to tip. Will definitely be backParking: Parking open on street and side lotKid-friendliness: They have ICE CREAM!!!

I was visiting my brother in Esko and we were looking for a place nearby for a light meal. I'm vegetarian but he's not, which limited our options. So happy we found this place. It's a lovely cafe in a pleasant town that serves fresh and delicious food. We were greeted at the door by the friendly employee who prepared and served our food. I had the egg sandwich on a bagel and my brother had the bowl, which we were both pleased with. Overall, a relaxing and satisfying experience.Vegetarian options: Egg sandwich

Cute family owned cafe. The ambience is very innovative and attractive. Their sandwiches were great, coffer was good. Loved their home-made gluten free chocolate chips cookies. Small but an amazing hangout spot in the area.It is not Wheelchair Accessible.

I'd only ever had drinks from magnolia Cafe. I'd never actually been inside until this past Monday the 19th. It is like someone took a regular house and made it into a coffee shop. There's many different rooms of tables and narrow hallways in between them. The atmosphere is very warm and comforting. The woman who I assume is the owner at the front counter was incredibly kind to my kids and my family. They had plenty of board games and stuff in a large stack by the tables for people to play for free. It honestly felt like you were sitting in someone's kitchen having a cup of coffee with them. It did not feel like a restaurant at all. This isn't a good way. The only complaint that I have and with how nice these people were. I hate to have any complaints but my wife got a decaf caramel latte that tasted as if it was burnt and had sort of a bitter pharmaceutical aftertaste to it. I got. I think what they call a 'Valentine's Love mocha.' It was supposed to be cherry dark chocolate mocha. It was pretty good until I got about 3/4 of the way through it and then at the bottom I had grounds that felt like grains of sand. On the counter hand, they did have excellent cookies pie and my all-time favorite scotcheroos. These scotcheroos are so good. They will make you melt into your seat. If she has a batch ready when you get there, do yourself a huge favor and try one. Overall, I think that I would go back, but I don't think I would order coffee again. Maybe tea juice or some other decaffeinated beverage. Otherwise this place is very charming. Quaint, warm and inviting. They are fantastic with kids!Parking: Parking was absolutely plentiful. As long as you don't mind parking on half paved half gravel parking lot then parking is fantastic.Kid-friendliness: The woman at the front counter when we were there, and I wish I could remember. Her name, was very friendly to my wife and kids. She not only greeted us when we came in the door but also greeted my kids and asked them how they were. When my kids started to get bored, she suggested some board games that they absolutely loved. For reference my kids are too and six. Very kid friendly place.

I had a gluten free sandwich with turkey, provolone and hummus. It was so incredibly dry that it was difficult to swallow. I tried to get some water at the counter but was ignored so I went back to my car and brought out our water bottles from hiking. There was barely any meat and cheese or even hummus in the sandwich. My daughter had a veggie sandwich on whole grain. She got lettuce and tomato, that’s it. She was asked if she wanted onions and bell peppers to which she said sure, but it didn’t arrive in the sandwich. The little ones split a burrito egg and cheese. Again, it was mostly tortilla and barely any egg or cheese. The girls had been promised dessert so they waited patiently at the counter to get a cookie. My daughter asked how much were they and the server just turned away from her. After standing there for 10 min they gave up. There were 3 people behind the counter and not one would wait on them to get a cookie which takes no preparation. We are not locals but we do come north every year and hike in the area. We won’t be back here.Vegetarian options: Need vegetarian protein options not just vegetables. They will not fill you up.Dietary restrictions: Glad they had gluten free sandwich option but it was terribly dry bread

The ice cream here is phenomenal. Tried caramel collision, Strawberry rhubarb and vanilla. All creamy and delicious without being too sweet. Staff was helpful and extremely friendly. Great experience!

Placed an online order ahead of time because we were in a time crunch. We get to the coffee shop and tell them we have an online order and the staff says "oh we just saw it." Waited 20 mins for our order. They were also out of items that we had ordered online. Tipped 20 percent online ahead of time and would not have had we known that service would be this bad. Breakfast sandwiches were cold.

Cute all-in-one cafe and kitchen with local small town feel. Local art and community stuff all around. Extremely friendly staff, if young and inexperienced. Perfect stop over when driving south from Duluth.

A great cafe to stop at while riding the Munger Trail. They have a nice variety of drinks and food. Hand dipped ice cream in some awesome flavors is available. Their veggie sandwich hits the spot when cranking out some miles. Nice and healthy with carrots on the side. They offer window ordering so I didn't even have to leave my bike. Much appreciated. There are a variety of picnic tables around the cafe. I've been here twice and loved it both times.

I wanted to love this place so much but came out of the experience slightly disappointed. The vibe and cafe itself are adorable! Very cute. The breakfast bowl was good and the veggies were fresh. It was smaller than what I was expecting and would love to have had some more eggs added but no big deal…. except that it was cold and we were the only people waiting for food at the time. Unfortunately, we waited for our coffees for 35 and 40 minutes. The cafe at the time was not very busy which we would have understood. The girls working at the time were very sweet but seemed like they were in over their heads. All the coffees that came out for myself and others waiting for an extended amount of time were incorrect which added to the frustration. I’m sure this is a lovely little place but when advertising for small meals on the go I wouldn’t expect to wait for 30 minutes for a coffee. Would love to give this place another chance in the future because the Chai Tea latte was absolutely amazing!! Overall, a sweet place that just needed a little better flow.

Adorable cafe. Offers locally made gifts inside. Coffee is great as are bakery items. Also offers sandwiches and soups. If you’re in a hurry allow your self a few extra minutes as most things are made to order. The local gifts also change every so often so always fun to have a peek inside!

Don’t waste your time here.Ordered a shake, it was nearly all milk, didn’t appear to have any ice cream in it at all. Basically tasted like a lightly flavored glass of milk. Not sure how you ruin a shake, but they did it.My wife got a mango smoothie. Might have been the weirdest smoothie we’ve ever tasted. Just chunky ice and mango chunks. Both drinks went directly in the garbage. Incredibly disappointing. Thank God we didn’t order food.I guess that’s what happens when you leave two 15 year olds in charge of a restaurant.

I’m sorry I really don’t like leaving negative reviews and maybe this was just an off day for this cafe, but I had a terrible experience. The service was extremely slow and they were out of multiple menu items The girl taking orders was miserable and the ladies in the back were having very loud personal conversation with a line out the door. I waited for 15 minutes for an iced coffee that had two ice cubes and was basically cream on ice. Where was the coffee? Just awful.

Loved this tiny cafe. My sandwich was made perfectly. My husband ordered Biscuits & Gravy and that was wonderfully seasoned w handmade biscuits. Friendly young ladies greeted us, took our orders, made & served the food and wished us a lovely day. A nice stop.

The perfect "Cup of Joe", but best of all FABULOUS homemade cinnamon rolls... Baked, with a delightful icing, as they are meant to be made - not flat and fried like everywhere else (even Tobies!) does them these days! Rest of the group had fried egg sandwiches and breakfast burritos, which were also excellent!Reasonably priced as well... The $ rating is more about how much we ate, not high prices per item. (•‿•)

Super latte and got a maple pecan scone and chocolate chip cookie for the road. Both were delicious! Cute little place with really nice menu options! Worth the stop and just minutes from Jay Cooke State Park and the bike trail.
