The veterinarian was awesome and provided us with a great experience. I highly recommend bringing your pet here.

Wonderful place! They were able to get our sick dog in to be seen right away and called to check on her daily for a couple days. Love that the staff is all so friendly and down to earth.

We're new to Cannon Falls and decided to go with Magnolia Vet care. I really am glad we chose Dr. Curt and staff. We have a little Pug with all kinds of issues and 2 cats. Our pug is leary of anyone that does not acknowledge her and will continue to bark at you. She has alway been great at the clinic. I love how Dr. Curt will get down on the floor with our fur babies and insure they are comfortable. Our little Pug has never barked after the intial greeting Dr. Curt gives her. I really would recommend Dr. Curt and his staff.

This is an amazing Vet clinic. They were able to fit me in the same day I called (I was looking for a second opinion).Dr. Curt sat on the floor with my dog to make him more comfortable. He spent 45 minutes with me explaining my dogs cancer diagnosis and what options we have. They are super helpful, caring and took the time to learn about my pet. It meant a lot that they spent so much time with us.

Dr Curt was amazing….We had to have our dog’s leg amputated. He walked us through the whole process. We felt well prepared to take care of Blue after Surgery. Dr Curt was very thorough and we would absolutely entrust our dogs to his care again

We have used Kurt as our large animal vet for years, and have followed him from any career change! Once he finally decided to open up the small animal clinic our family was super excited! Would have given zero stars. First time I’ve ever had to report a vet to the Minnesota Board of Veterinary Medicine. Total disregard for my dog’s comfort. dog not dying, however, expect the same expert and compassionate care for our fur kids as we would for our human kids! thought we would try local instead of cont. driving 50 miles one way (to best heartworm vet in the state when we bought our dog) . Magnolia’s rude tech needs some costumer service skills… Likes to lecture on what unnecessary tests we were going to have to pay for right in the door. Believe it started when my husband embarrassed vet for his lack of knowledge on heartworm treatment (yes, vet admitted he never treated a dog for heartworm before). Make sure you get a name when ordering any meds from them! We received a quote for 100 tabs (triple checked since already so expensive) and they were going to charge me $50 more when I picked up! They then shorted me 10 tabs. Vet had the nerve to call us implying that WE were trying to scam them! 😂 he finally agreed to count his stock and sure enough, shorted us… but made sure to let us know it was only nine tabs, not 10… certainly not an apology. They make filling Rx requests from an outside vet pharmacy (which is way cheaper) extremely difficult. We’ve had to call them every month for the last 6 to prompt them to fill after 2 weeks of requests from pharmacy so our dog doesn’t run out and suffer! Will “only fill outside Rx on Fridays via email “, does not have backup vet when he is gone and won’t fill a 90 day Rx (said needs to check periodically on how pet is doing) which is a joke. Had enough as now dog is currently out of pills. Very happy to be going elsewhere now (20 miles in any direction to get better care). BTW, Kurt Nelson’s name is known in this area amongst the veterinarian world… which is why he’s now self employed.American Veterinary Medical Association'sPrinciples of Veterinary Medical Ethics state that veterinarians"should honor a client's request for a prescription in lieu ofdispensing," advising that the client has the option of filling aprescription at any pharmacy. Additionally, a number of stateshave regulations that require a veterinarian to make a writtenprescription available to a client who doesn't wish to purchasethe prescription medication from the veterinarian. There are nolaws in any state which prevent a veterinarian from giving youyour pet's prescription absent a valid medical reason. Yourveterinarian should respect your right as a consumer to purchaseyour pet's prescription medication from wherever you choose.
