Dr. Mike and the rest of his team are the nicest, most caring, very attentive people. We brought in our dog at the Animal Emergency twice for nonstop reverse sneezing, coughing, barfing, and just really feeling ill. They did a bunch of tests but all came back fine accdg to them. We were sent home with few meds that did not help our dog much. Until we brought him in to Dr. Mike. It was only then that we knew our pup has something going on in his heart, bronchioles, and esophagus. It is still currently work in progress but atleast we now have an idea and direction in his plan of care. Thank you, Dr. Mike and your amazing team!Love,Lucas.🐶

Our cat reached the end of his long, wonderful life, and Magnolia Animal Hospital were absolutely amazing with making sure we could get a last-minute appointment to take him in. It's not fun to have to put a pet to sleep, but they made it as good as experience as it could ever be. Very impressed and very thankful.

$$190!! Wife's kitty was having some issues. Brought her in thinking the worst hundreds of dollars deal! Nurse comforted the cat, answered my wife's concerns. Doc came in addressed what was going on, recommended some treatments and explained why they were better than others and how they worked in simple terms. All said and done 35min. Later, cat flea and tick treatment for 3 months some steroids and a rabbies booster for $190! Thanks Doc! Good place for kitty.

The staff are so kind, and are beyond helpful with any kind of questions you have or advice you are seeking. They are very thorough in their explanations. They also don’t pressure you into getting treatments for your animals that you may not want. I also feel as though their prices are very reasonable. Bonus: they have resident cats at the clinic that greet you, allow to be pet and will snuggle you if wanted! Truly an amazing clinic and would recommend.

Dr. Mike is the best veterinarian I have encountered. He took care of our 3 cats and put one down for us. Such a caring environment, they knew it was hard on us and turns out, it's not so easy on them. We moved to SC and I have yet to find someone as gifted to care for animals or as willing to connect with families. Animal Health Center is a rare gem.

I've read some previous post that were good reviews such as "they successfully put my animal down" or "they explain what is wrong in simple terms" or "they do not perform treatments you do not consent to", but being able to put an animal down or explain what you have done to one's animal are musts and should not receive five star reviews. My case: They said "do you consent to sedation because your animal is mean". They said if we don't sedate then we can't treat him (doesn't seem like an option at that point). We consented and came to find our cat face down in a ton of his urine when picking him up. Our cat "had" to be dropped at 8am and was not ready to be picked up until nearly 4pm; for a simple cortisone shot. Even when sedated they said "we put him in a restraint box to treat him (give him the shot). Do not understand why sedation is necessary if they are locking him in an unmovable position to give him shot. In past they have placed him in a kennel which is nice but this time had him sit in his carrier in his own urine. Seems like they do not care about animals that are "mean" and have mistreated my cat. My "mean" cat has no issues at home, is very nice to us, visitors and our 6 month old baby. He does not enjoy the vet. During a first visit I watched his intake and they weighed him. Saw that he was about 17 lbs (nurse confirmed) and we even retared the balance to confirm again. Second follow up they had him at 21.8lbs and the previous visit said 20 lbs. Not sure if they do not know how to work a balance or they weighed carrier too or just straight lied. At least three staff said how he was a bad cat and mean. If your cat enjoys the vet, shots and extended stays and you desire the basics this place may be for you. We will not be bringing our animals back to this vet. Very displeased with this past visit.

they take great care of the Animals brought in for any kind if procedure. had 2 cats and 2 dogs neutered this week and they are in great shape for just being a couple days out from having surgery. Thank you to the team at this facility for taking such great care of my fur babies

We took our kitten for the first time yesterday! Dr Anne was very patient and thorough with our kitten after an eye infection! She gave him some medicine and 24 hours into it we have a night and day difference! The prices were also very reasonable! I checked around and for an estimate they were the best!

Was having phone troubles and couldn't complete a call to anyone so I just showed up on their doorstep with my distressed kitten. I figured they wouldn't be thrilled about it but they never let on that it was an inconvenience. Made time to see us anyway and after a very short wait they had us squared away and out the door. I don't remember what the cost was but I remember being relieved to hear it thinking it was going to be considerably higher. Caring and professional, I would recommend them and would go back myself

I'm surprised but glad that other reviewers here had a better experience than our family did. For some reason we tolerated this place until they misdiagnosed our dog and as a direct result ended up dying at age 7. Before that, the staff was routinely ignorant, utterly condescending and repetitively lecturing towards us --finger-pointing scolding like you'd normally see only at a bad children's summer camp theater production. It's a shame it took the death of a beloved pet to make us realize there was another vet service, a GOOD one, 5 miles down the road. I understand that folks are more inclined to leave either a positive review or no review at all, but I'm still so livid that after leaving a glowing review for Cannon Veterinary Service I just had to circle back about just what a truly terrible place this was for us. I don't doubt that some folks have had fine experiences here, but why did they have to be so damn awful to us?

We have had illnesses, traumatic injuries resulting in amputation, other surgery and wound care afterward. We have found them to be very knowledgable caring and truly looking out for your pets best interests. Recently we had to have our lab put down, class act explains it all.I have used many Veterinarians over the years and Dr. Mike and staff are fantastic.

For meeting Dr. Peterson for the first time, he was extremely rude and harsh. He lacks basic customer service skills (kindness, caring approach, etc.) I rarely write reviews, but would never take my animals there to avoid interacting with him again.

We live 3 minutes from this clinic we called today because our dog Kodi who was a 3 year old (as if 2 days ago)130 lb German Shepherd has a seizure disorder. We called because today he had a seizure that he could not break it was an emergency situation and they are the closest veterinary clinic to us we knew time was the essence because The seizure had been going on for more than 20 minutes and it would not stop so we called told them what was going on and they told us we're sorry we can't help you until at least 1:00 p.m. Kodi is now dead he died as he got on to the hospital table in Hastings because we had to drive all the way there. This clinic could have possibly saved our dog's life and they couldn't be bothered to help us. I don't know if they could have saved Kodi's life, but they could have tried. They could have said we can't get to you bring him in now. But no, they told us we can't see him until hours from the time we called. I do not recommend this place.

I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who feels their pets are their children. Staff is very warm, caring and the the vet doctor explained what was needed to keep my baby healthy and happy. Thank you Animal Health Center.

I'm from the cities when you bring in your dog. They usually say. "This is needed gotta do this" well here they ask what do you need done? You don't need to get everything done. What would you like to get done today. Very very nice folks. I'll be going back no question. P.S. love my dog nikki!!
