Our 2-year-old dog became suddenly and severely ill a few weeks ago, and Dr. Mattson could not have been more thorough, compassionate, practical, efficient, or effective. She patiently listened to us, explained our treatment options, and respected the decisions we made. When we called with questions, she she took the time to provide thoughtful answers. Thanks to Dr. Mattson's exceptional care, our dog is recovering. We've always been happy with BCAC's preventative services, but this recent experience with Dr. Mattson and her staff has turned us into customers for life. We are sincerely grateful!

Wonderful experience! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. My dog had an injury and her regular vet was booked, as well as 4 other clinics. They were willing to work/drop off my dog in, and perfect timing... they had a cancellation while I was still on the phone. She needed a procedure to fix her injury and they took care of that immediately.I can't thank you enough!

This clinic got clean environment and precessional staff. I wouldn’t say that cost of vet services was any more affordable than other vet clinics, but when my senior dog needed urgent attention, they didn’t dismiss us as all other places did. And some of those clinics that denied us were getting our business for decades. So, I recommend Buffalo Companion Animal Clinic!

I have gone to Buffalo Companion Animal Clinic for about 40 years with all of my dogs and cats and have always had great care and compassion with all of their staff. They have done all of our normal healthcare and also spays and neuters of our animals, and all of our end of life care. They are always so caring and even called to check on animals after the visit.

Huge thanks to Buffalo Companion Animal Clinic for letting me bring in our sick kitty Diaz early in the AM for a drop off appointment. My job is hard to have my phone available all the time so we were able to email back and forth. They did an amazing job and while we are still figuring out what is the root problem we have come so far. People complain that they are expensive. The care our pets recieve when they are there is worth every penny. Dr. Erlandson has been fantastic at communicating. The whole staff is amazing. Thank you to them and to my work Tuffy's Treats for caring when I had to call in to take Diaz in. <3

We had a very sick dog last week - they fit him in the very next morning. Before I had even picked up dog #1, dog #2 started in with the same. Not gonna lie, I was in tears at this point. Two very sick dogs. Called BCAC back. They said being her in. No hesitation. Two dogs at the vet on a Friday before 1 pm (before the weekend)!!Respect & gratitude from this dog Mom/Grandma!

Last night I was helped through putting my cat down. I brought Joe in for goopy eyes but he was lethargic, not eating or drinking, had no muscle, and was suffering. The vets were there way after hours and were patient and so kind while I grieved. I would 100% recommend this clinic. While checking Joe, the animal doctor was so gentle with him.

After a Thanksgiving visit to Allied Veterinary Services, I took their advice and contacted my clinic in Buffalo the next morning. After hearing the details of the problem, I was advised to come in immediately and did so. After exam and x-ray it was determined my shepherd needed immediate surgery. I left him behind yo have a bread tie removed from his stomach. Lots more to this story, but I felt I was listened to and treated with respect by a very professional and caring group of people. Pup had an ear infection but couldn't get into my regular vet and was told to try finding another one to get him in. They got me in sooner than any place I called. Even though I'm not a "regular", they treated me like I was. It was during Covid so I was pretty nervous not even being able to go in with him, but the vet called me while I was waiting outside and talked to me for a half hour about all my questions which were not all related to the ear infection (first time dog owner, I have no clue what I'm doing 🤦). Loved the patience they had with me! And when we went for his free re-check, he was excited to go back in with them! I haven't stepped foot in this clinic, but if my boy loves it, I love it too ;)

Amazing staff, they do really care. My cat got horribly injured and needed to be put down. It was devastating but Dr. Moore assured me I was making the right decision. Everyone there supported me, showed empathy and kindness in my despair. I even received paw print cards of my sweet kitty. Their prices are reasonable and also 3 of her kitties got neutered there as well. You can tell they truly love all animals.

Kindest staff and treat your pet as their own. Super quick! Get right to the problem and have a solution immediately or won't mess around and will do testing to find out anything they need. Only downside is obviously the cost is slightly higher then others vets I've seen and you need to ask what everything costs before they take your pet for each test or you dont know til after but worth it with the care and respect to you and your pet! Love this vet

My dog LOVES going to the Buffalo Companion Animal Clinic. She is so excited when we pull into the parking lot and uses all her 6 lbs to pull me to the door. The employees are knowledgable, kind and friendly. She always gets a special treat from the techs and lots of cuddles. I won't take her anywhere else.

Have taken our pets there for the last 5 to 6 yrs. Tonight we had one of our wonderful cats crossover the rainbow bridge. Unfortunately this was our 4th fur baby in the last couple years due to old age and late life illnesses. They are always very respectful and helpful. I really appreciate the time and care they not only give our furry ones but also the humans. I highly recommend them for care of all your fur babies.

My animals are pretty timid in unfamiliar places, but the staff and vets are always taking their time with my fur babies to make them feel as comfortable as possible. I have never had a bad experience with BCAC in the decades I've been taking my animals here. No matter the reason for the visit, they listen and talk with you, never at you.

I have gone here a couple times with ok service but I brought my sick and dying cat there a couple mornings ago right when they opened. I was crying to the lady at the desk in green scrubs and she was very rude and cold and said there was nothing she could do and offered me an appointment for a few hours later. The annoyed expression on her face and lack of care or compassion was astounding and, honestly, it was hurtful. She didn’t offer any alternatives or suggestions on what to do and they apparently don’t have any emergency openings in their schedules. As I was crying and telling her what’s wrong with my cat she was just shuffling papers and not really caring at all. She saw me standing outside crying and would not unlock the doors until 7am, which i understand she prob couldn’t open them earlier. I am a nurse, working in the healthcare field with people or animals requires people with care, compassion and concern, this lady had none.Luckily, I went to Rockford and they got me in right away (even though they were weeks booked out for appointments) I just had to pay an emergency fee and, sadly, had to put my 6 year old cat down.I am highly disappointed and irritated with the way the lady treated me at Buffalo. A little compassion goes A LONG way. I will not be bringing my pets here anymore.
