I happened to read some of the reviews here today, and tho most are very positive, there are a couple that I do not agree with. One says that they were treated rudely when entering the premises. I have been a customer for several years and have never, ever been disrespected in any way. I find them to be friendly and extremely helpful. I shopped at the Co-op for over a year before I became a member and was never belittled to feel like I wasn't welcome if I were not a member. I like being a member because I like the benefits that come with membership.As far as getting bad vegetables, it is your responsibility to check the produce. If you find something that is over ripe, take it to an employee and let them know. They get their trucks in once a week and if, for instance, avocados don't sell as quickly as expected, some may be overripe. Take it to a worker! They will check the produce section. It's not a big deal. They don't always have a steady stream of customers every day all day long to keep it moving. Thanks for letting me say my piece! For you folks who were unhappy with the service, please give it another chance, and go in with a smile; I'm sure you'll get one back!!

Terrible panini sandwich. Billed as a grilled cheese and mushroom panini for $11.09, it was a thin slice of white American cheese and about 3 sad slices of mushy mushrooms. It was mostly spinach and raw red pepper. Not grilled. Barely warm. Don’t waste your money.

What a great place to have in Downtown Brainerd. I love ordering a fresh hot sandwich or soup from the deli, along with a smoothie for lunch - it is always delicious. They always have fun daily specials. I would call and order for pick up a few minutes before you get there because it does a little bit to make a sandwich, and totally not their fault, just the nature of making a food item. They carry a wide variety of products, but I would like to see some more options as the shelves do not seem as full as they could be. There is a place for guests to sit and eat their food or take it to go. The staff are always friendly and happy to be at work!

Great options and love supporting local businesses. Their prices are a bit steep for the area and not a lot of variety. We also purchased 2 avocados here and one point and they were moldy, which was disappointing. I especially love getting the frozen sausage links, bulk goods, and coffee ground to my preference

5 stars!! The coop has a great selection of unique items you can’t find anywhere else, as well as a delicious deli that serves up great breakfast, lunch, and smoothies! But the real reason I keep coming back is the staff. The friendliest and most welcoming people you will ever meet are found at the crow wing food coop. Seriously there isn’t a bad seed in the whole bunch. They make grocery shopping enjoyable!

They say that everyone is welcome but ask if you're a member as soon as you walk in the door. If you say no, they give you a patronizing little smile. Save it. Ask for membership cards at the checkout and stop being such snobs.

The prices are pretty high. The store is clean, and the cashier was pleasant. They have a good selection of products. They are easy to find, but parking may be an issue.

Make sure you head to their new location 624 laurel street.They have lots of good quality meat. A great bulk/zero waste section. Bulk Peace coffee. A small produce section. Things are expensive, but you are paying for high quality things.There is a deli, check out their Instagram for daily updates on specials.

I really like the selection of natural products and they have the best candy selection for dark chocolate. I go there specifically for candy. They also have loose teas and locally butchered meats which is awesome.The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.It's a really small store though, and the parking lot is also small.

Great place to go if you have a sensitivity to foods containing gluten or just prefer natural food source. Also if you prefer to get your food from local distributors. Crow Wing Food Co-Op supplies products from folks in our very community and that's important to me. I like knowing g that I'm supporting my community and area farmers. The meat comes from animals that are grass fed and that's also important to me as well. Everything is organic and they are willing to answer any questions you have. The employees are friendly and treat you like family the minute you enter the door. They even accept EBT for low income households on a budget so that's huge. I know a lot of families with children on a special diet with gluten sensitivities who can barely afford the diet changes needed for one child plus the regular diet of the rest of their family. I highly recommend Crow Wing Food Co-Op for all your needs. Food, vitamins, detergents etc. I love this store and the people inside.

I have been shopping at locally owned co-ops for over 20 years and so i am giving my rwview based on comparison of those I've been a part of. I don't go to this store as often as I would like to because I find the pantry items to very high in prices. As more and more larger grocery stores carry all-natural and special dietary based products, it becomes even more critical to be price conscious. I love buying meat (brats, hotdogs) because they are made locally AND they taste fantastic! Their produce is competitively priced, if not cheaper, but the quality has always been good! It's the only place around that offers bulk organic foods (nuts, rice, spices). I look forward to the much, much bigger store coming fall 2020 with deli type eatery included!!!

I visited this place for a project I was doing about locally grown foods, this place had stuff from a thirty mile radius up to a 100 mile radius. And the people there seemed to know what they were talking about, and seemed to really care for what they were buying and how it got from point A to point B. If anyone like honestly needs fresh fruits or anything this is the place to go, the people were great, the store was a little cramped but, that's ok. For the amount of stuff they have it's really amazing.

Small food co-op with a good selection of essentials - the only drawback is the small space prevents a wide variety of produce. Super glad they're here though - great for folks from out of town who prefer their shopping local and organic.

Awesome! Not something I expected to find in Brainerd, but I was very happy to find it. Picked up fair trade coffee, vegan marshmallows, Oatly barista blend oat milk, and a few other goodies. They had a decent selection of bulk goods too.

Checked put this place for the first time since moving to this neighborhood but left rather annoyed when a couple employees literally blocked an entrance to an aisle to just chat despite me being the only customer in the store trying to get in the aisle.

Food coop offers organic produce and some other refrigerated items. Foods, drinks, soaps and supplements were available. Pleasant surprise, they had coffee and soup available to carry out. The soup was good!

Wonderful Co-op. You do not have to belong to the co-op to shop here. Knowledgeable staff and always friendly customers! They have fresh early spring asparagus right now!

Go here everyday I am in Brainerd. I love the grab and go stuff. People are amazing and friendly. Food is always fresh.
