This is a great Mexican restaurant near the green giant! If you are nearby, get yourself over to El tio for some lunch or dinner. They have great cheese dip, salsa was tasty and mild, good for the kids. Standard menu items abound and they even have a vegetarian section. Great beans to boot. I will be back the next time I am near blue earth.

Very authentic. This is not Taco Bell. You can actually taste the corn tortillas when you order enchiladas. My mom and I went for lunch on my last visit from Phoenix and I will definitely be going again. Perhaps the fajitas or burritos next time? Not super cheap but definitely worth a visit.

Me and my boss went here cause it was the only non fast food restaurant open after 5. Don't know if it was us being super hungry, but the food was excellent. The queso dip appetizer was excellent. He ordered the steak fajitas and I ordered the seafood chimichangas. The only issue was my boss asked for a side of shredded cheese and they looked at him funny when he asked and when they brought it to him. Other than that everything was great.

Newly reopened in Blue Earth under different management. They added a nice patio and redid the inside as well. Aside from the few small issues I'll list below the experience is great. Once my order was in it didn't take long to get my food and it was incredible. The green salsa was definitely something to comment on. All of the staff was very friendly.The ONLY reason that I couldn't give 5 stars was I sat outside for about 8 minutes before I finally walked in to get service and the menu was a little large

Not a very big restaurant, only about a dozen tables. The chips were homemade and we're on the thick side but were good. The accompanying salsa was good as well. We had the 4 enchiladas. The plate came with 4 enchiladas; lettuce, sour cream & tomatoes on top. The plate also had rice & beans. The plating was very nice and the serving was very large. Would definitely recommend this place to eat.

$21.70 for what I ordered, charged $28.20. I know damn well wasn't $7.50 in taxes. Then expected a tip.Ok food, but I'll never eat here again. Stealing isn't a way to keep customers.

El Tio's restaurant is under new ownership and they've expanded the little restaurant and have outside seating, and of course take out. also. They still have really great food. Their staff is pleasant and personable. You can find something on the large menu that will soon become your favorite, and I tend to try different things since I've been going to that restaurant for many years now. My husband and I get a little spicier salsa even though the regular is mild with good flavor. Every mexican restaurant doesn't make the same things taste exactly the same, so let your taste buds decide. Enjoy!

Wonderful family owned restaurant. Lovely people, enjoyable atmosphere. Food is good, but seems oddly "Americanized." First time I ever had pico de gallo that didn't have jalapeño (or any other chili pepper in it.)Sadly the mother, who is also the cook, has had some medical issues. It appears questionable whether they will reopen.Hopeful.

This is my favorite lil place ever! Their rice and salsa is amazing! When I moved off to college I would ALWAYS make it a point to stop here at El tios when I was visiting Blue Earth. Now I live out of state it’s 12:54 am Christmas Day and all I really want is El Tios. The family works so hard, everytime I would stop in there was a lil boy in there working / helping his family, you really don’t see that work ethic from an 8 year old. They’re all awesome. Love this place
