Like I said before what a hidden gem of a cafe! Everything is freshly made on a daily basis from scratch. Mary the owner along with family open on Fathers day 2020 hard work and preservation they are making it thru the pandemic when many small businesses had to close their doors that has to tell you something about the food and owner and staff of this little gem! We will be back for lunch thanks Mary and Staff for all your hard work and to Chris thanks for sharing some of your home town experiences with us you are truly a sweetheart. I love small home town patronage it's the greatest ever! Great job and food Hungry duck!

We were traveling and hungry..this little storefront place was a diamond in the rough, reminicent of an old Mom and Pop diner. Very nice menu selections, even had "poutine" a Canadian favorite! There were a number of locals having lunch who kept the place lively and pleasant. The food was excellent and hot! Service was wonderful and the cook checked with us to see how everything was. This will be a regular stop for us when we are in the area!Parking: Park on the street, right out front.Kid-friendliness: There is a small table with crayons for the littles.

Nice, quiet & friendly. The food was amazing and they had the best homemade split pea soup! Definitely try their "Heat Burger" 🔥🔥

A tiny little treasure with excellent service.I had your basic BLT on sourdough bread with fries and it was absolutely delicious!Definitely recommend if you're in the area and just want a really good lunch served with a friendly Midwest smile.

Stopped here on way home from a fishing trip with 7 others. 1 friend had stopped here previously. Very nice people. Most of us had the all meat omelette. Very tasty.

Delicious pies and cookies and many selections with good coffee! Strawberry Rhubarb was yummy....my 1st choice👍😁 My girlfriend brought home Blueberry pie for her hubby.....I took homemade oatmeal raisin cookies to mine! Other tables enjoyed good hamburgers and many different selections all happy faces young and old! Come see and taste for yourself.....lots of deliveries and carry outs happening as well👍😁

This restaurant is now called Hungry Duck, and if you want the best French fries EVER, you have to eat here. Not only that, the power went out in the whole town of Blackduck and the owner, Mary, instead of turning us away, cooked us hamburgers and fries in the dark!! We were starving and so grateful. This hometown cafe is small but clean and neat. Oh, and the hamburgers and grilled buns were delicious, too! Thank you, Mary! Your lunch saved our day!

I meant to review this place a while ago. I had the opportunity to live in BD in the hotel for over a month for specialized construction work about a year ago and as a result got to eat here often. The food is fantastic and the service very friendly. My only gripe might be that the Cajun seasoning was more salty than spicy but the Au jus better than I've had in places known for their food in cities like Memphis.

This was a great find. Have been here several times now when travelling in this area. The food is great. It's real homestyle food, well prepared by someone that actually knows how to cook. It's so much better than Perkins, Dennys or any of the other chains and way more reasonable. Definitely worth the stop if you want a meal.

This place is great! I ate breakfast there, and the homemade eggs, pancakes, and bacon were better than chain places like Perkins and IHOP. The bacon was perfect - not burnt, but not gross and full of gristle. The service was waaay better than IHOP. The owners are super friendly.
