I absolutely love this place. You can get all kinds of things for your animals. I even took a picture of a bearded dragon. I honestly felt like buying every animal here lol but I definitely will be back again soon!!!

Decent selection but would never purchase because of how the animals were treated. Dead fish in many of the tanks, and the axolotls only had one piece of foliage in an otherwise empty tank. The woman who was working that day picked up a cage of mice to move it and was very harsh with them.Not something I feel like I could support which is a shame because it's the only real pet store around.

Always had a good experience here, i love that they provide the oxbow hay and food for my guinea pigs, since i have always had a hard time finding it. i did get two guinea pigs here, one of them was sick the entire time since i got it, we were always at the vet and always had medicine. i did everything i could for him and he passed away last week at two years old. i am devastated, i loved him so much and wish i would have gotten more than two years with him. but thank you to pet zone for providing me with my two best friends.

I've gotten many pets from this place and I've never had a bad experience. I currently have 3 mice from here and stop in frequently to get them things. Their items are definitely a bit overpriced though, you can find the same things else where for cheaper (I recommend Amazon). All the staff are very friendly and seem to really care for the animals. Love it here.

I've heard bad things about this place. As far as I know it's the only place in town to purchase aquarium fish. I stopped in to purchase a gallon of the stuff that gets cat urine smell out of fabrics for a client.

Don’t get animals here. All of our pets that we have gotten died in a very short time. We have now had two Guinea pigs and two fish die within months of getting them. Our most recent fish we bought a week ago and it lost and eye and is now dead. We think it was already severely sick. We have 6 other fish from a different pet shop and have had no issues. We also have another Guinea pig from a different pet shop and it is thriving. The ones they gave us were sick. The most recent fish that died also infected our other fish now. They also refuse to give a refund or replace the animal if it’s been more than 48 hours. So sad that our kids have had to go through this. We lost all of the pets just this year alone! DONT GET ANIMALS HERE! Update: the fish from the pet shop that infected our other fish, killed ALL of them with the disease! We had those fish for years. Just horrible.

Id like to start by saying the animals are well taken care of, they have good supplies for them all. I was referred by my siblings to the store at first all was well but the costumer service was not the greatest, two separate times they had misinterpreted my request and as I wanted to correct the mistake to get what was needed they hadn't gotten my order right both store visits. I hope they will improve this from happening in future purchases. Great store just know what you want and get it with out there help other than questions on care. I know I was most disappointed that bringing up my concern it's was more of excused than corrected...

Kind staff with a wide selection of both pets and accessories for them. However, take some of the staff's pet advice with a grain of salt. I have been misinformed twice by staff relating to my exotic pets. Never saw any temp or humidity gauges in any of their exotic tanks, leaves me with some care concerns.

Overall a nice little store if you're in the area. Staff could be more knowledgeable on the pets that they sell there and how to care for them. I would always double check any information you get.

Always have a great variety of fish to pick between for pets also a big variety of other animals to pick from they didn't have any guinea pigs which is what I was looking for but they said they were getting more soon the staff were always friendly

Giving a 3 only because there is a 5.00 min to use cards. We are in an age of digital currency. I only carry cards for security reasons. As well having this min when only needing crickets is a bit much. If i buy 5.00 worth of crickets they will be dead before I even get a chance to use. I get they have to make it worth their while and all but putting the customer first not your pocket book first. Otherwise selection is pretty good. Price is right in comparison to on line. Cashier was a little dull to talk to. A smile can make any customer happy

To say I was impressed is an understatement. We rolled in 15 mins before closing desperately searching for info on a pet that came to us unexpectedly. The sales associate who helped us, whose name I didn't get, was a jewel. She pointed out everything thing we needed and really great advice. I wish I caught her name because she definitely deserves the recognition! It was 5:45 on 5/23/2020

They have an okay variety of items, although everything is kind of expensive. One of the guys that work there, an older gentleman, is pretty rude and talks to you like you're an idiot when you ask even the simplest of questions. I had 2 dog tags made there, which cost me $15 bucks. Otherwise I'll just use Amazon for my pet needs from now on.

I go into Pet Zone to buy crickets for my salamanders a lot. The location is great. The place is always clean. The staff are always friendly. My experience so far has been really nice.

Got 2 for the price of one found a lizards breeder in deer river, they also aren’t expensive like this place , 100 dollars for a baby beared dragon and 200 for a adult is a joke. Not worth your time or money. Especially if you got to travel out of town

Super small pet store definitely not what we are use to. Plus it smelled terrible in there to the point we left. The animal cages was clearly soiled and not well cared for.

We went here just to look at pets but my oldest daughter purchased a hamster. The woman working was super helpful at saving my daughter money and helping us purchse only the things we absolutely needed. It was great!

Def recommend all the aquariums were well kept labeled clearly and friendly staff and for the even cooler part is they actually took the time to properly have there critters alln in naturally displayed tanks not just put in a tank with a mat or some basic substrate they took the time and did the knowledge to keep their animals how they should be at home with you if your in the area i highly recommend stoppin by and seeing how it should be done!

We needed ear wash for our dog and found is here. When we are in the area again, we will come back because they have a large variety of pet food, pets, and things that one may need for your pet bird, dog, cat. Clean, and well-organized, Cooperative staff is important too.

It's a little uncomfortable to see the owner's children working there, in their pajamas during the middle of the day. Both with the animals and up front at the cash register. Very unprofessional, in my opinion. If you're going to let your children, and I mean actual young children/pre-teens, work at your shop, at least make sure they look presentable and represent your store in an honorable manner. There seemed to be way too many pets jam-packed into one store and multiple animals there seemed to be very unhappy and unhealthy. Which is to be expected with such a plethora of animals and such inexperienced workers. We won't be coming back again. Pets Plus, all the way.

I see reviews have been doctored yet again to remove any remotely negative feedback, so here goes mine, again. This is a clean, good-smelling pet store. They have somewhat of a safeguard for pets in terms of the products they offer, for example, they do not sell cedar bedding. But it's hit or miss. They do sell some things that are dangerous or inconsiderate to other species, I am assuming species that none of the management or employees have extensive knowledge of. They do frequently have animals for sale that are VERY obviously sick, injured, underweight, or otherwise not well cared for. For some of them, it takes a trained eye, and they DO keep more animals in the back, especially those that are not looking great, or those "oops, had babies" situations. The ones that really tug on my heartstrings when I go in are the reptiles and of course the betta fish. The betta fish are kept like all other betta fish for sale, and that doesn't make it alright. The reptiles are usually in horrifically unsuitable habitats with too many animals, improper substrate, harsh or improper lighting, way too low temps or humidity, the list of problems goes on with these. Their animals are so incredibly overpriced that I have to wonder if there isn't some sort of magic word to get the "real" price instead? I can't see how anyone could ever justify paying that much for an animal that really isn't of any higher quality than any other pet store out there. It's the same animal from the same source, and their health guarantees are extremely minimal. We bought a netherland dwarf from them once to replace our recently deceased geriatric of the same species, only to have it die the very next day. I still think someone fed it something inappropriate as a going away present. They would not let us take the animal in for autopsy, which is very suspicious to me. Even after bringing them the rabbit corpse, it was like pulling teeth trying to get any sort of reimbursement and in the end, they didn't give us a refund, they just gave us another rabbit which for all we knew at the time, could have had the same issue as the one we just lost, and we really didn't want to go through that again, but we did take the rabbit and she lived into old age, so that is something. Their birds are almost never handleable and WILL bite the snot out of you if you don't know how to handle a wild bird. I would purposely grab one with a leg band, because at least you know it is docile enough to have been banded without being injured. Snake morphs are almost always mismarked aside from being 2-3 times more expensive than their actual worth. Saw a normal corn marked as an "albino" (really improper term with corn snakes) and costing $80 (they are worth about $20). Dead or dying fish are pretty common, I feel their fish get overlooked by staff, and there have been times I have been in there and pointed out a dead or dying fish and they really could not possibly have cared any less. Also pointed out a severely emaciated, unresponsive bearded dragon hatchling, actually asked "Wow, that dude looks rough, is he alive?!" to have 1 long-time female employee respond with something like that they were just going to give him some TLC and he would be fine because he is such a special little guy and someone would love him for his wonderful uniqueness or something similar... No discount on that one either or I would have bought it and rehomed it to a reptile-savvy friend just to get it out of there, it was being trampled and outcompeted for food and space, really not what I would consider TLC. Pet stores tend to just not be very good in general but for as much as these people gloat and badmouth other pet stores, I would expect a lot better. The reason they get two stars, and a pass for all of this from a lot of people, is that they are literally our only option for specialty pet supplies. Where else are we going to go when our feeder shipments are delayed to cold and we need crickets like, right now? It's probably what has kept them in business.

After paying for only 2 fish we were told that we couldn’t get the others cause they were warm water and we got cold. So we couldn’t get anymore

The owner, I believe it is, is friendly and helpful. Kind of quiet but nice and knowledgeable. There are, however, a couple employees that are rude and act like they are doing us a favor by helping us. They definitely need a customer service class.

ME-OWch, the worst customer service in town and of any pet store I've been to.WOOF, the price will bone you compared to anywhere else (like wal-mart that's across the street)FISHY, how his aquariums are double the price of Wal-MartsSNAKEY, how they don't know about what they're selling, but tell you they doCUDDLES, not that they will let you touch the animals, but the store rabbits name, only thing pleasant here.
