Nice hot food bar was out camping and did not want to cook. Heard they had 🍣 sushi. So had to go try it. Couple of them were really good. A couple were a little dry. My son's chicken strips and Mac and cheese he said was really good.

Just moved here from the east. Loved the store. The cashier and bagger were so helpful. Some prices cheaper than Walmart, others a little more. A wonderful grocery.

I love shopping at Lueken's and regularly go here to do my shopping. I have never had a bad experience and always find what I am looking for. It is a much nicer shopping experience then most area stores, especially Walmart. Sometimes you pay a little more to shop here but I am fine with that. Keep doing what you are doing Lueken's. You are doing a great job!

Great store! Produce is always fresh. The meat department has a great variety and excellent quality products. They also have a great little Minnesota made food products section... honey, jams, wild rice, etc. A go to store for me!!!

There is an elderly white woman named Mary who I believe works in the bakery. I have heard her openly use the N word as well as make anti-trans and homophobic remarks while working. This is a small town with lots of brown and 2sprit/queer folk. There is no room for that type of language, nor that type of mindset.

While visiting Bemidji today I actually saw three people bring their dogs into Luekens. And one person even put the dog into the cart where kids sit. No dogs should be allowed in grocery stores except for service animals. This is very unsanitary and unnecessary. Leave your dogs at home!! There should be a no dogs allowed sign on the front of the store. While service dogs have the right to accompany their handlers into grocery stores under the ADA, it's usually not appropriate for them to ride in the shopping cart. Grocery stores have to be mindful of local health codes and hygiene issues. My daughter actually witnessed someone trying to bring a horse into the Luekens too, no lie. What is wrong with people???

I got a serious case of food poisoning here from the chicken at the hot buffet. I called and spoke with a manager to notify them, no apology or even a thanks for letting us know. I am only writing this because it was handled so inappropriately, the manager wasn’t the slightest bit concerned. Very disappointing because I spend a lot of money here. It is apparent that Luekens does not care about their customers. *Update* called this number numerous times and left my phone number. No call back, I stand by the last sentence I made on here.

Excellent service. Growing up in the cities, but not like Eden prairie rich or anything.🙄 I love a good deli. Burgers are excellent. It's a perfect stop. The bag boys are really fun to talk to. Cashier's always friendly. Deli food is really good as well. 👍

Luekens you better check your customer service personal!! Seriously!! It wasn't even close to closing time. Employees, young adults standing around doing nothing!! Till me and my daughter are heading out the door, spent $200 on food. Then get questioned by a dude with a bad complexion, asking us to produce a receipt.seriously!? Questioning us like a person of authority while (social profiling), he wasn't even an American - go back to your own country. We're Native American, we work, pay bills so why the attack!! Not happy about this, Walmart trained

A great local store. Though arguably with less natural food variety than before, they still have a good selection of foods that you can't get at other stores. The bakery is great and the deli is pretty good too. Since the remodel a few years ago it has looked fantastic and is modernized in everything from the lighting to the bathrooms.

Both luekens locations offer beautiful, Welcome shopping experiences. Produce is fresh. They offer a better variety of grocery products than Walmart(we get alfalfa and bean sprouts here regularly). Deli food, bakery and meats are always fresh. We have so many good experiences shopping the fresh areas.They have popcorn and caribou coffee kiosks inside the store.This is a great stop for lunch, where no matter how picky your company, there will be something for everyone. They have a large selection of ready to eat hot and cold foods as well as a soup and salad bar with a dining area nearby. You can get a cheeseburger or a panini. Fried chicken or macaroni salads. Options galore.

We love going to Lueken's. They have a good selection and friendly service. Their produce is really nice. The employees are all helpful. It's nice having them take your order out to your car. This is what grocery stores used to be before the big box places entered the market.

My favorite part about this place is the deli. Their hot deli rocks and the cold. Their salad bar is OUT OF THIS WORLD. The selection is so huge its amazing and will fill anyone's hungry needs! The food they cook for breakfast and lunch is also amazing. There is so many choices. And the employees and the help they provide is amazing. This places deserves more then 5 Stars :)

Luekens isn’t my favorite grocer in the Bemidji area. As previously mentioned, some of the staff (specifically cashiers) have a propensity to be rude. Making it difficult to want to spend your money at a store who already has some of the highest prices I’ve ever seen (even before inflation). Now the good. They are active members of the community, supporting many organizations. The store is always immaculate and very well stocked. Their dollar days and meat sales are fantastic!

Just tried, for the first time, a burger from Luekens North deli where they advertise grilled burger baskets. Yikes. Meat was so compacted & pressed you could tell it wasn’t fresh hamburger, and whether that was the case or not (all beef etc.) not 1 drop of juice to it…it was like chewing an old piece of leather and it was so salty I threw the second half away as it was inedible. Fries had an odd taste and smell, maybe the type of oil used, maybe old oil…not sure. Never again. Disgusting and waste of money. :( Kudos to the bagging staff for my groceries though, always kind and helpful.

Everytime I go here I get the best vibes from the employees, fresh smell of amazing popcorn from kettle to buttery, personally I love their meat selections, good deals on their burger and pork chops alot of the time. Would recommend the already seasoned pork ribs. I do shop here alot as I love the atmosphere. Best part is when they take your groceries to your vehicle. Very much appreciated, thank you.

I love the layout of this grocery store and what they have to offer in the deli and bakery sections, but they have really begun to price gouge their customers (likely due to recent renovations), and some of the employees are less than competent. Please tell me why someone who works the deli counter can not ring up basic lunch sales?

While waiting in the check out aisle with my wife and son, our cashier (named Christian) nodded his head at me, and proceeded to ask the customer in front of us what her last item was. He then raised his voice and said, "I just don't want someone to make you pay for something that isn't yours."Christian refused to talk to me, when it was our turn to purchase our groceries, but would speak to my wife. (We are a mixed family and It seems bizarre to only speak to my white wife and white customers) while warning them about me...a brown man.My wife and I are extremely disappointed and disgusted with this man's actions. I have shopped here for an extremely long time, and have never had such a terrible interaction with an employee before. Christian, the cashier has been employed since 2015 (as per his badge states). I don't know of any place that is okay with this behavior.

One of my favorite grocery stores of all time. They have it all. Best baked goods in the area, fantastic deli, huge selection of gluten free and organic options. Definitely recommend going here if you want to support a small business that cares about its staff and the community.

I wish I could shop here more since the workers here are the owners, but prices are still higher than Wal-Mart and I am poor. My choices are food or heat? I shop here for their sale items and they had a good meat sale going on so I got good deals on meat. I miss their clearance isle. I love their little cafe/coffee shop and meeting room that is free to the public to use. Much better than the South store for choice of items to eat during a meeting. Last few times I've stopped in for coffee though, many of the coffee carafes have been empty and creamers have been a total sticky mess and/or empty especially the decaf. I SO wish I didn't have to shop at Wal-Mart.

Nice shopping experience most times I shop but bakery department leaves a lot to be desired. They basically have no rustic breads here. A store trying to tailor themselves as a mini Byerly of Bemidji, they are not. When asking for rustic bread I got a smart-mouthed staff that pointed out several loaves that were not rustic bread but merely sliced varietals. Rude and.contrite to say the least. Deli prices are less expensive at competitors and they're understaffed at checkout. Produce dept has one of the most unfriendly gals too.

Stopped in on 8/13/21 around 9:30pm. Guy at checkout was very rude, clearly didn't want to be there. He became more upset with the lady behind me because she had a full cart. Disappointing. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Friendly staff, a good selection, and decent prices all-around. The bakery at Leuken's North is bigger and better then the one across town, but both stores have been a great fit for our grocery shopping needs.
