Our two dogs have been at Dogz and Katz several times now. Carmen and her staff have cared for them as if they were their own family. We love watching the videos, and appreciate all of the little extras our dogs enjoy. It is a safe, loving environment for your pets! Highly recommend!

Carmen and her team took amazing care of our pup while we were away on vacation! From doing a trial night to make sure she did OK, and wasn't anxious, giving tips and ideas for training, and giving our girl all the love while we were away. Dogz & Katz Luxury Pet Boarding is incredible. They were very accommodating for a last-minute reservation for my three cats over the Thanksgiving weekend, and they made sure to get them in the same room together. They posted daily with pictures/videos of them on their Instagram which helped me keep up with them. The place is super clean, and it's very clear that everyone there cares about the animals that are boarding with them. I will never go anywhere else, even though they are 40 minutes from my home. These guys are so worth the drive to make sure my cats have a comfortable stay with a team that will give them attention and love.

Wow. It's the best! Our dog and cat loved being there, and Carmen and her staff are so kind to pets and their people. We got daily pics/videos of them playing with the other pets, or just chilling with the staff. Each animal gets an adorable themed room with a window, cat tower for cats, toys - all the things they have and love at home, plus you can bring things that would make your pet comfortable. (You can see the rooms on their website and the pics and videos on their Instagram and Facebook sites.) They have rules and protocols to make sure the animals are safe and their food and belongings are kept separate, but not long nit-picky lists like I've seen at other boarders. We have found our pets' forever vacation home!

We love Dogz & Katz! We switched here after a few less than stellar experiences at another boarder, and we are so glad we did. It's great to see update videos on Facebook and our dog always comes home nice and tired. We sometimes have to schedule last minute due to my work and short notice travel, and the owner is always super flexible and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Carmen is the absolute BEST for cat boarding!!She watched my Miso for 6 days and I cannot recommend her enough. The cat rooms are spacious, clean, and perfect for keeping kitties entertained!! Carmen is super responsive, great at sending updates/photos, and wonderful at caring for cats.I was nervous at first (about pet boarding in general) but Carmen was so welcoming and took the time to ask and answer questions while we watched Miso settle in. Overall, an absolutely amazing cat boarding experience and I wish I could give Carmen more than 5 stars!! :)

EXCEPTIONAL CAT BOARDING FACILITYFound Jus' da Katz online when I was looking for an "out of the box" type boarding facility for my two cats (pun intended), where they would be...1. Looked after 24/72. In a cat only environment3. Cared for by a true cat person4. Given lots of vertical space and mental stimulationCarmen checked all my necessary boxes, and then some. She even sent me pictures of them throughout their stay!!! I was SO pleased to see their furry little faces, relaxed and having a blast. I have brought my cats to other cat boarding facilities in the surrounding Minneapolis area and none come close to Carmen's facility. NONE.Trusting someone to take care of your cats is a big deal, but with Carmen I was never worried. Her passion for felines is clear from the moment you first meet her and see her well designed cat rooms (see attached photos, they are amazing!!!). Anyone looking to board their cat(s) in a facility where you can leave your fur babies and know that they are in good hands, look no further.

I literally drive an hour to bring my cats. It’s the only place that allows for enough space for them to play and stay in the same room together. The themed rooms are great. Carmen is flexible in terms of drop off/pick up time, and receiving pictures of their adventures while I’m gone is a nice touch. One of my cats is a bit skittish, so the fact that Carmen spent time getting him out of his shell, and to trust, just shows the care and concern she has for animals.

We have two dogs, a younger goldendoodle and a an older lab. The kennel is always so clean smelling and looks very well taken care of. I love that the dogs are boarded in an actual “suite” with a cute little window, not some big room with a bunch of chain linked dog cages. Carmen encourages us to make their room feel like home - with all of their favorite toys (and bedding, if we prefer) and to bring plenty of their preferred treats! Our dogs share a suite, which works out perfectly for us.Outside, there’s plenty of fenced in space for the dogs to run and play. They probably get more time for play and exercise here than they do at home, all year around.Our older dog has some anxiety issues related to being away from us/home, Carmen has patiently worked with us, our vet, and our dog to manage his anxiety successfully when in her care. When we pull into Carmen’s driveway, both of our dogs immediately become so very excited in the car because they know where they’re going. I fully trust Carmen with our boys and know that they’re in the best of hands while we’re out of town. We’ve used several other kennels in the area, and I wouldn’t bring my dogs back to any of them, but without a doubt, Dogz & Katz is our go-to time and time again.I love that Carmen posts videos/photos of the dogs on social media and is always available by text/phone for me to check in while we’re gone. Our dogs come home absolutely exhausted after a week or weekend playing and having too much fun at Dogz & Katz, which is exactly what we want.Carmen takes the safety of our dogs seriously and will not let them be out of the fenced area, even going to our vehicles, unless collared and leashed. She takes her job and business very seriously, and only wants the best for her customers and their furry family members.Thanks, Carmen, you’re great, and our boys absolutely love you!

The choice of where you leave your pet, and to whom you leave them, is of a huge concern. It's not taken lightly nor without some deep research.About a year ago we left Baxter with a facility that was recommended, however, after only a brief stay at this facility, Baxter was by all accounts a changed dog.Now, let's keep this in mind as we go forward. Baxter is a Boarder Collie and if you know the breed at all, they demand attention and quite frankly, can be pests if attention isn't given.Our vet suggested we look at Boarder Collies as being Olympic athletes with all the same needs, but in a dog's world. OH well, it is what it is.Then, a few months go by and we had to leave town again, so the search for a new Baxter caretaker was under way. My wife found this place called Dogz & Katz Luxury Boarding and as a result she dispatched me to review the facility. To say I was delighted by the sate of the facility and the staff that greeted us, Stephanie, Avary and me, would be an understatement. So the decision was made and we scheduled Baxter's stay.Upon our return we headed over to get Baxter, and found Baxter was himself in every way. He was excited, he s calm (well as could be expected), well cared for and most of all, the staff expressed how well Baxter had interacted with others during his stay.They truly cared for, and about him, during his four days and nights.As of this past Sunday he has just completed his second stay, and to say Baxter has found a Home Away From Home, would be an understatement.We truly can't express in just words how much we appreciate Dogz & Katz Luxury Boarding's facility and staff.If you’re ever in a position where you need a super clean, well managed boarding facility. At the time of this posting, there are 23 other 5 star reviews of this pet boarding facility, and there are zero reviews that are less than 5 stars. There is absolutely a reason for such a high rating. Carmen is GREAT to work with. She is very welcoming, and clearly has a fantastic connection with animals. She is responsive to texts, emails, phone calls, etc. The facilities themselves are beautifully kept and are in a continuous state of improvement. Our cats stayed here for multiple weeks and probably enjoyed the views of the yard, the birds, and the other visitors. If you take your pets anywhere else, you've made a huge mistake. Definitely check out Dogz & Katz Luxury Pet Boarding!

Tripp spent 10 nights at Dogz & Katz Luxury Pet Boarding and was very well taken care of and loved. The facility has a lot of room for the dogs to run and play together and rooms for each dog. We saw updates almost daily, including videos, on Instagram. Would definitely send him there again and 100% recommend.

Our cats spent several weeks here and they loved it. We chose Carmen's place because cats get a whole room and don't have to sit in a little kennel all day. The cat rooms are big, with a cat tree, toys and a window. Carmen is super nice and awesome to work with! Just looking at the boarding facilities and meeting Carmen for the first time, we knew right away that she genuinely cares about animals. Carmen took great care of our kitties! It's so nice to be able to go on a vacation and knowing that my cats are cared for and they get love and attention!

Our dog loves his time here and they put in top quality care for the animals! It is like paradise for him. There are huge fenced yards for him to run in, and spacious rooms as well that are quiet and peaceful. He comes back happy, relaxed, healthy, and well behaved! He gets a long bath when he gets home, and then sleeps the whole next day! I know he always has a blast! In fact he leaps into the car all the time now because he’s waiting to go back to Dogz & Katz! You can really tell this is an excellent business with integrity and passion for the welfare of animals. We are very grateful to find a boarder who cares for our dog like family

My dog was boarded at this facility for 12 days. We chose Dogz & Katz for the great reviews they have. It could not have been a bigger mistake. My dog was involved in 2 violent altercations with the same dog and the facility continued to allow our dogs to interact afterwards. We were not made aware of these attacks until after picking up our dog. We noticed a large wound on our dogs neck within an hour of having him back. He had these injuries for a week and the facility never noticed? He collapsed later the next day when getting out of the car and was rushed to the emergency vet. He was taken in on a gurney and had multiple tests preformed. They determined the cause of his collapsing to be from the infection and swelling in his limbs and hips for the injuries at Dogz & Katz. Even after they administered pain medication, our dog was still unable to walk for the next few days. On top of the cost of boarding our dog in an unsafe environment, we also had to pay a $1,900 vet bill that Carmen, the owner of Dogz & Katz agreed to pay for half of and proceeded to not respond to the email she requested with an update from the vet and photos of the injury. It has now been over 2 weeks since then. While I would’ve preferred handling this privately, it is clear they are not at all concerned about the fact our dog was neglected under their care. I felt it was right to warn current and potential clients of this situation so that you are able to keep your pets safe. Don’t make the same mistake that we did and do not board your pets at Dogz & Katz.When we called you after picking him up you admitted to 2 separate attacks with the same dog. You never once mentioned the issue with the toy between the 2 dogs nor did you mention my dog was allegedly “attacking the fence”. This is a sorry attempt to excuse my dog’s injuries and to take the blame off of yourself and the neglect my dog experienced at your facility. My dog has been boarded for the same amount of time or longer at multiple facilities with no issues of aggression and no injuries. Never once has anyone recommended “less exercise” and our veterinarian that has more experience and qualifications than you have stated he is a healthy weight and is not in need of losing weight. The emergency vet confirmed that there was bite marks on his head and ears which would be next to impossible to get from a fence. They also assessed the bite mark on his neck and found it be infected. It is very large and was oozing green puss that was extremely hard to miss unless you do not pay close enough attention to the dogs you are supposed to care for. Even if it was from the heat as you are claiming you are admitting to neglect for not noticing something that was very apparent from just looking at him. After we emailed you, you made zero attempt to respond or contact us at all even after saying over the phone you would pay for half the vet bill. Lucky for you we are more concerned about the safety of other animals and our dog to bother fighting over the $1900 vet bill but will make sure it is known that this facility is extremely unprofessional and a unsafe place to board your pet. The photos of his injuries are unable to be posted in the review because they violate google’s policies.

Tooze, our 16 yo cat, gets lots of attention and love from Carmen while staying at Dogz and Katz. Her room is always clean and spacious for cats; very comfortable with lots of places to sleep and look out the window. It’s a 30 minute drive and worth every mile. Our #1 choice!

I choose Carmen's boarding facility because it was one of the only ones I found that did not keep the cats in cages all day. I was so thrilled that I found somewhere where they got a whole room to themselves! Especially since it included a cat tree and a nice view of outside/birds.I was still anxious before dropping off my two cats because I had never been away from them before I was was going away for well over a week to Europe. Meeting Carmen the first day really put my mind at ease! It was obvious she took the time to read the paperwork I filled out and got to know my cats before she brought them. All throughout my trip she left daily updates. You could tell from the way she wrote them that she really cared about them like they were her own. They definitely received individualized attention, and a lot of it too!There's no place I would recommend more than Carmen's when it comes to boarding your cats. I can't express how grateful I am that I had someone like her to look over my babies while I was away! I would recommend her 100%!!! My cats had such a good time they didn't even want to leave.

Absolutely loved the whole experience. We were going on a trip for the whole week and didn't know where to leave our baby cat. Most of the places offer a small or 2-3 level overpriced cages for cats and no attention whatsoever. Dogs & katz luxury pet boarding gives cat a whole room with cat tower, toys, and even a bird feeder outside. Carmen took such a great care of our cat and I could see his pictures on Instagram. We felt good about him being in such a good place and we enjoyed our vacation without stressing. Definitely will be returning for future stays and highly recommend this place!

We boarded our cat for 9 days and loved the care she received. A week prior she had some teeth removed and had issues throughout the week. Carmen took care of Sophie to full recovery and cleaned her mouth. This meant a lot to us and went above expectations. We were also pleased with the spacious room that is provided. My 2 Bernedoodles loved staying here!! Their room was spacious, clean and easily accommodated their 2 large dog beds. They had so much room to run and play by themselves as well as with the other dogs. We loved being able to see how they were doing by visiting the kennel's Instagram page where videos of the pups were uploaded daily. I would highly recommend Dogz & Katz Luxury Pet Boarding!!!

All of the suites (dogs and cats) are very nice and comfortable. Extremely clean place and safe environment. The dogs playgrounds are large and very secure. Carmen is a true animal lover and spends the entire day playing with and caring for all of her guests. Definitely recommend this place!!!
