We've been going to the Vet here for almost 9 years.We had to put our American Bulldog down last week 😭.From Jody at the reception desk to Michelle the Vet Tech to Dr. Liz the Vet, everyone was very considerate, caring & assistive... which made the situation much less upsetting than it may have otherwise been.

I have a 13yr old lab mix that I have taken to Belle Plaine Animal Hospital since she was a puppy. Chancity gets a little nervous when she goes to the Vet but they are always very gentle to her and always check in to see how she is doing if she has been sick.

Be sure to validate their prescription dosage. Dog was sick, they filled up .2 instead of 1.8mm dosage. Wasted a weeks and dog didn’t get better. They will not work with web base orders, such as chewy. They practically force you to buy product from them. End of visit payment system is flawed, they make you wait in lobby with energized dog for up to 10 minutes. Why they don’t offer a room as you wait, is beyond me. They charge you for extra visits just to get prescriptions renewed for skin rashes. Very expensive too. I would call/shop around.

We have been going to Belle Plaine Animal Hospital since we moved to the cities 7 years. We had 1 very shy cat at the time and they were so good w/him. Then we acquired a rescue puppy & they were all very awesome w/our little puppy. She had come from a terrible place and was so fragile. Dr. Ricci suggested what food would be best for her, & how we could protect her from any further health issues. Then we babysat a cat that the owner forgot to come back to pick up, & they were fabulous helping us figure out what we needed to do to keep this cat as healthy as possible. They are very knowledgeable and caring people. Every time we are there we learn new things about our pets. Since we live more than 40 miles away they have always been so flexible w/our appointments. I would be hard pressed to find a more caring and knowledgeable clinic to go to. I would Highly Recommend this Clinic to anyone who needs an Animal Hospital/Clinic for their pets.

The Belle Plaine Animal hospital took care of our Sheltie mix dog -Lassie- for 13 years. Dr. Ricci and her staff were wonderful with her. Lassie loved to go to the “Dr.” Also upon her very sad passing-they were so helpful. They even provided us with her paw prints as a reminder of her. Now our collie mix shelter dog goes to see Dr. Ricci and staff and they are so kind and gentle to this precious little one. Although we are fairly new patrons to the Belle Plaine Animal Hospital, I can state with absolute certainty, that this clinic is a treasure.It is difficult to find a veterinarian that has the knowledge and the heart to treat animals with a holistic approach.Dr. Ricci Kelso is a wonderful doctor and a warm and generous person. Her abilities are extraordinary.Every single person working in the clinic is beyond sweet and helpful and thoughtful and competent and very considerate.Just walk through the door....you will see what I mean. I brought my cats in to have their nails trimmed and the cat that I thought would be the easiest turned into Godzilla! The staff was experienced with this type of situation and handled it well, were gentle with my cat, and got the job done without any problem.I also had a 15 year old black lab that was nearing the end of her life, the clinic took good care of her and helped with her care as she aged.I would highly recommend this clinic.

I love Belle Plaine Animal Hospital. They have always been great with my dog. I have been bringing her there since I first got her when she was a little puppy and continue to bring her there even though I live in Lakeville now. They are very caring and don't try and get you to do a bunch of unnecessary things that just rack up the bill.

My husband and I love Belle Plaine Animal Hospital! My parents have always taken their dogs to Ricci Kelso and always had really good service. We love the service and attention that we get from the Dr. Kelso and all the staff at Belle Plaine Animal Hospital. They treat our 3 dogs and are great at explaining each procedure and what care is needed one issues come up. They are tender with my shy dog and give lots of love during exams. I would definitely recommend using their clinic.

I've been taking my dogs to Dr. Ricci and company for over two decades. As a dog breeder, I rely on their breadth of knowledge to ensure that my dogs get the best possible care and that I stay informed and up-to-date on what I need to know to keep tabs on their health and breed healthy pups. These folks are not only medically competent. They clearly love what they do and who they serve and show genuine compassion and concern for their "clients" (animals and humans alike.)

This vet clinic is passionate about the care and we'll being of their clients. At our last regular schedule shot and vet check, they recommended checking the current levels of vaccine in our corgi's blood rather than unnecessarily medicating the dog. It turned out she didn't need one of the vaccines and we would have over vaccinated. They are truly concerned about the whole health of your fur family members.

My previous manager recommended Belle Plaine Animal Hospital to me, we live in southeast Minneapolis but could not find a vet that we really liked that wasn't trying to bankrupt us with high prices and pushing unnecessary additions. After our first visit, annual exam and vaccinations, I knew we had found the perfect vet. Even being an hour away, it is totally worth the drive, Dr. Ricci and staff are amazing! Dr. Ricci is extremely thorough, patient, and I love that she recommends simple lifestyle and dietary changes instead of pills and supplements that can get spendy! My last vet had quoted me around $700 for all the services I needed (absolutely ridiculous), I received all the services plus bought 3 months of heartgard and 1 free month of nexgard, for $250. The price difference is astonishing and the quality of care is 100x better! On top of all that, the following day I received a follow-up email, attached was a 2 page report that broke down the physical exam by body part, gave Dr. Ricci's findings and if anything needs to be watched or changed it was in red print and then list multiple solutions. The best report I've ever received, easy to see areas that need improvement, perfect for keeping in your records and also perfect for proof if signing up for pet insurance! Thank you Dr. Ricci! I highly recommend Belle Plaine Animal Hospital, for the sake of your pet, wallet, and peace of mind!

I took my 13 year old yorkie poo here for the first time today. She had recently had some trauma after being attacked by a larger dog. She has high anxiety when going to the doctor or groomer and with her recent trauma I was nervous to bring her in. To my surprise BPAH was able to get her in the next day so i gave it a shot. I have never ever seen my dog as comfortable and relaxed at the vet as she was today. The staff was so sweet and gentle and gave her yummy treats. I am so glad I brought her to BPAH and I will definitely be using them as her primary from now on.

Best vet clinic around! I brought my very sick (and beloved) 13 year old cat in and was extremely fearful I was going to lose her. Dr. Ricci Kelso and her team did a fantastic job taking care of my cat for the day while I was at work. She needed additional treatment and tests, so we were referred to an emergency vet clinic in the cities. With their help they determined my kitty had a horrible UTI and now after treatment she's back to her sweet, loving, naughty self. I'd recommend the Belle Plaine Vet Clinic to anyone who truly wants the very best for their animal.

I recently adopted two kittens and needed to schedule appointments for their first visit, and knowing that my mom, who also has a few pets, trusts BPAH with her pets, I knew that I could as well. I live about 40 minutes away from the vet, which isn't a problem for me, but is for my two little kittens. The first visit went awesome, Dr. Kelso answered all of the questions that I had (which were a lot). After the visit, my kitty had a little (and as in little, I mean quite large) accident in the carrier. So, I called the vet and asked them If I could bring her back in and clean her up a bit. Without hesitation, they said yes. So I came back in with my poor little kitty, who was head to toe in her own poop, and the lady helped me clean her up so that I could take her home. I love the atmosphere of the BPAH, the art on the walls makes it very colorful and comfortable. They are also very caring when it comes to losing a pet, which is always very nice.

Belle Plaine Animal Hospital is exactly what I have been searching for.Being someone that appreciates what holistic veterinary care has to offer, I couldn't be more thrilled at the fact that this location provides those services.There isn't anything more disheartening, to me, than to try to get care for your pets, only to be told that you have to have forced immunizations on them prior to having them checked by the doctor.I truly am grateful for this Veterinary clinic.The staff is extremely polite, gentle, kind and welcoming.
