I recently got a Small Munsterlander puppy from Prairie Peak and could not have had a better experience. Everything from the initial contact, information shared, puppy selection, picking up the new puppy, and after the sale communication was exceptional. Our new puppy was happy, healthy, and well socialized from day one. They are located 12 hours away and I would not hesitate to use them again.

We got a Brittany from Jack at Prairie Peak Kennels and decided to have him obedience trained and it was worth every penny. All my kids were able to walk our dog on a leash he comes when called completely kennel trained and is a joy to have around. I could go on and on about him. Hali did a awsome job with our dog. We just had Juniper, our female Springer Spaniel, groomed at their new facility in Battle Lake. Kayla our groomer did an amazing job with her cut and she's ready for hunting this fall! We were hoping for a playful corgi with a calm temperament and our new puppy from Prairie Peak Kennels is exactly that. He’s relaxed, responsive, and has been sleeping through the night since we brought him home. Jack has been quick to respond to any questions and concerns I had about training. Having the support and expertise of the puppy’s breeder available during the training phase has been a game changer for us. It has made the process of bringing a new pup onto our life much more manageable and enjoyable.

I could not say enough good things about our experience with Prairie Peak Kennels. We live out of state and usually use our boarding facility at home. Someone recommended Prairie Peak to us and we are so thankful we picked them. Let me start with the fact that the facility is absolutely beautiful. The workers are so very kind and go above and beyond. They have all kinds of add ons to customize your experience. For what you get the price is extremely reasonable. Our family highly recommends Prairie Peak to anyone needing anything from daycare to boarding. You can see how happy our girl was just by looking at her.

I don’t know where to start. Lily and Jack are absolutely amazing. They worked with me like no other training facility. Would even think about I highly recommend them to anybody looking for any type of training my dog had a hard time listening and overall no obedience whatsoever. He would often bug my other dog to the point where my other dog didn’t want to be near him after coming home from the four week board and train. He is an absolutely totally different dog. They made sure to personalize his issues and updated us weekly on how he was doing. I’m so thankful that I found them and I will recommend them to everybody that’s looking for a board and train facility. Thank you guys so much for all your hard work.

We have an old fur baby who is very reactive but we wanted to add a new member to our pack. We rescued Gus at five months and wanted to ensure that he would not follow in our old man’s footsteps. We signed Gus up so he’d be able to go to Prairie Peak at 6 months. Jack and his team are so incredibly friendly, professional, up front about their training and the absolute best in execution. Not only did they help Gus gain confidence and understand obedience, they taught us how to continue our work with Gus. Gus has been home for a month now and is absolutely the best! This picture was two houses down from an aggressive dog who was trying to get to us. Gus allowed me to lead and showed no anxiety and I had the confidence to handle the situation. Our old man has also relaxed allowing Gus to bring the calm. I rave about Jack to all of my friends and will be sending any future fur babies to Prairie Peak!

Our Welsh Pembroke Corgi, Daisy is one and a half years old. Prior to bringing her to Prairie Peak Kennels, she was disobedient, crabby, feisty and thought she ran the household. Our family was at a loss for what to do. She is apart of the family and we wanted to do everything we could for her, but had to keep grandchildren in mind as out first joined us in July. We were afraid of how she may behave toward young children. We heard about Prairie Peak Kennels through a friend so we decided this was going to be worth a shot. We took Daisy to PPK and left her with Jack for three weeks in September. When Daisy returned, she was very timid. She didn’t show a lot of emotion like she use to. We went weeks without hearing her bark or “talk”. She definitely took some time to settle back into home. Because if this, we knew she had definitely experienced change at PPK with Jack. Daisy now responds to all basic commands, enjoys her safe space in her kennel, walks on a leash, remains in our yard and doesn’t give attitude when she doesn’t get her way. Daisy is happy and content relaxing when we relax, she sits by the door when she needs to go out and lays on the nearest rug while we eat meals rather than beg by our feet. Before we left with Daisy when her three weeks were over, Jack spent a significant amount of time training us how to keep up with what Daisy had learned. We left feeling like we had a lot of work to do but the transition has been really smooth for us and totally worth it. We could not recommend Prairie Peak Kennels and Jack enough. We are beyond happy with the return of Daisy.

We got our adorable corgi pup from Prairie Peak and had a great experience! Jack was very informative and patiently answered all the questions we had (and we had lots of them!). The adoption process was seamless and they are there to answer any of our questions about training, food, etc. We are so thankful for our new furry family member and highly recommend PPK!

The staff here are wonderful! They we very accommodating when dropping my dog off, they did an intake of all the stuff I brought to make sure it made it home. During the week the staff sent me updates of how it was going, my puppy had plenty of outside time and other dog interaction. The prices were great and the facility was nice for winter and will be even better in the summer! As a tip I’d recommend bringing a dog bed or a dog cot for overnight stays. Very much would recommend!

We brought our three big dogs for a weekend of boarding for the first time. I cannot say enough good things about how accommodating the staff were to each dogs individual needs. They never made me feel like any request was too large and I was confident that the dogs were in a safe and fun environment the entire time! Super clean facility and the pricing was very reasonable!

Prairie is my go to place in the Minnesota, Otter Tail Lakes area. The team there has several certified dog trainers, a groomer and is well organized. They include all dogs in their day care programs and my dog comes home from boarding a little bit worn out. PERFECT! His hunting skills have improved with their help and he is a very happy,contented dog when he comes home.

I was looking for training for my 16-month old bullmastiff, London, for better house manners and obedience. London's my first dog and I needed someone to assist with creating a foundation with her that I could build on. London came home after a board and train a completely different dog in a GREAT way. Still the lovable and goofy girl but now would listen and respond to me in a way she's never has in the past. Gone are the days of jumping on people, on the counter-tops, comes when called and we love (love, love) our off leash walks together. We continue to train to build on her foundation but I can say I enjoy our time much more together now, as does my family! I can't recommend Jack and Prairie Peak Kennels enough. Thank you, Jack for listening to me and for taking such great care of my little goober! I will 100% recommend you and come back for any future pups of mine. THANK YOU!

Great communication!Great staff!Great training!Exceptional experience!We had our dog do a 3 week training and the results were amazing! The staff took time to train us so we could have continued obedience with our dog when we went home! We left feeling more confident in our roles as leaders with our dog. Lilly and Jack took the time to talk with us a few times before we decided to do the 3 week program with our dog. When we picked up our dog Lilly spent an hour and a half working with us and teaching us how to do training obedience at home. She also assured us we could call with any questions once we got home. Developing a relationship with these trainers will be so helpful for us as dog owners! They see things in our dog and understand how their minds work a lot better than we do! Give them a call, you will not be disappointed!

They are professional, kind, wonderful to the dogs and the owners- and most recently I got a full grooming from Kayla for one of my pups, and she did an amazing job. Our Bo has been going to PPK since 2018 , he loves going has good experiences with the staff, loved the inground pool and now the new facilities were he spent that last week. They always send a video or pic midweek to let me know he is doing well. They are flexible if needed and have helped in a few family emergencies we have had.

Our dog, Sasha, is a one year old border collie/heeler mutt and is an energetic, excitable mess :) She was doing well with learning commands in our home but wouldn't listen consistently when we were outside or in new places. She also was terrorizing the cat. We had boarded her at Prairie Peak Kennels numerous times and she loves it because it's a high-activity kennel and she's a high-activity dog. We're normally not the type to drop thousands of dollars on our animals but we needed help because Sasha was starting to run our lives instead of vice versa. We enrolled her in their three week board and train; we were a little nervous that we wouldn't get our money's worth. We totally did! The trainers were awesome. They really wanted us and our dog to succeed and their mix of positive and negative reinforcement training really worked for Sasha. She is so happy and well adjusted. She does great in her kennel, she rarely barks for attention anymore, she comes back when called even with distractions, AND she can contain herself around the cat! She is more confident and more calm and we know exactly how to continue her training as well! I would highly recommend Prairie Peak Kennels! Please note: they use a ecollars and prong collars so if you're sensitive about that then this is not the place for you.

Jack worked with our Brittany pup on obedience and hunting training for a few weeks. Prior to training, our pup was a little crazy and wasn't great at recall or listening in general. After a few weeks with Jack, she now listens to anyone!! Even with other dogs/people around she will come when called. Jack also introduced a handful of very helpful commands to us that she executes to perfection. Jack is super great to work with and helped us feel at ease with her being away for so long as well as other tips and tricks we hadn't thought of to give her and us the best life together. Would highly recommend.

We think our 3 dogs love being here more than home...The staff and owner here are wonderful, top notch, great people. We have a Siberian Husky, Husky Mix and Rottweiler. During their first stay this past month they let our daughter FaceTime them to see the dogs while we were gone, took pictures and sent them to us during their stay. They sent us an email to inform us that their Distemper and Bordatella shots were coming close to be expired , but offered to provide the vaccines to them and add the additional charge to our bill. When picking them up and checking out they provided the paperwork/stickers from their vaccine. It was that easy. We are about to take off for another month and have already set up the drop off time and pickup time with them. This time we are opting in to do their long stay training program. They will be working with them while they are there on not jumping up on people, sitting, laying down, and I am sure much, much more. Our dogs are all between the ages of 6-9, but any refresher training is always a plus. One more great thing is they work with you. Anytime we had a question or concern they were a call or text away. They also provided us a Military Discount. I could honestly keep going and going with compliments. This is such a great place. We opted in for the bath and nails package both times so when we picked them up and are going to pick them up they are all cleaned up and ready to go. This was such a great experience that we definitely recommend Prairie Peak Kennels to anyone and everyone. Thanks again guys!!!! Look forward to seeing you this weekend!!
