Absolutely the best place to have your dog trained and boarded. This family run business cares so much about your dogs and set them up for success. When you take them home, you have a happy and well behaved dog which makes life easier on your family to walk and play with them. I have 2 beautiful creatures who were trained at Liberty K9 and when they have your dog at their facility they keep in close contact with you and share so many pictures and videos so you can see how happy they are. I will always and forever recommend them and take my dogs there to be cared for.

I can’t express to you how grateful I am for what an amazing dog you can create. Our girl Nola is the best family dog, she is the most patient, she loves all of her people, including the little girls who dress her in princess costumes. She greets every one of us individually every morning with a tail wag. She likes every dog she meets, she is never aggressive, she is everyone’s friend. And because of all of this she has the luxury of going everywhere. She has manners, which gives her freedom. It is the best thing I could’ve asked for, for her, for myself and for my family. I toured 3 facilities before choosing Liberty K9.. I can’t thank Liberty k9 enough for the fantastic job they did training my 5 month old German Shepherd. They were extremely informative, professional, carrying, and have a huge passion for their line of work! I can’t believe how well behaved and trained my dog is now! When picking up my dog I was shocked how well trained he was in just 4 weeks! I’m super thankful that liberty K9 is now my main resource for training questions and even nutrition! I couldn’t find a dog food my dog would eat until liberty K9 recommended a certain brand . If you’re considering this facility for anything they offer I highly recommend them!!!

Liberty K9 is awesome! Very professional employees who take all their jobs serious. They treated my dogs with the utmost respect. The staff is also easy to talk to if you have any questions or concerns of your pet’s behavior. I have sent 3 of my German shepherds here for a month long off leash board and train. Best decision ever!I have also since taken advantage of their boarding when leaving town. My dogs love it. They get to run and play, not just sit in a kennel run. When picking up your pet they tell you about your pets behavior. Whether good or bad. And where improvements are needed, if any (if one has done a previous B&T).I have used Liberty since approx 2017 and will continue to do so in the future.

I have loved my experiences with Liberty K9. I have brought 2 of my dogs there for boarding. They always get excited to go back. I love that Liberty K9 post pictures and that my dogs get to socialize with other dogs in a controlled setting.I brought my new pup for a board and train. Ashley was amazing and easy to work with. My pup has been way better behaved and Ashley worked with my family to educate us as well. It was a great experience and worth the time and money.All the employees are super friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

We brought our very fear aggressive, unsure of himself 9 month old German Shepard here back in 2016. The owner wasn't even sure of what or even if she could help him. He didn't like people, he was scared of literally everything. But Jenny took her time, was patient with him and let him come to her. Which thankfully he did, and it was the best thing that we could have ever done, was to bring him to Liberty K9. Over the next 7 or 8 years, we have boarded our dogs here never ever worrying about how they are treated, or what is happening because Jenny & her entire team are all exceptionally trained in knowing what to do and how to do it. They way they love each and every dog that comes through as if it were their own animal is such peace of mind. I highly recommend them for everything from boarding and grooming to rescuing. Very, very wonderful group of individuals!!

They are great both with grooming and training. My mini berniedoodle puppy learned so much at her 3 week stay. We are now able to walk her off leash . She came home the same sweet & loving puppy with great manners. I highly recommend this business.

We have had two dogs go through Liberty K9 Board and Train programs. Sophie was our lab and she came back well mannered and a lot calmer then before training they also addressed some issues we were having with her (food aggression and counter surfing). Our second dog Bandit was in their Puppy raising program. Bandit came back a well mannered, house broken, perfect puppy who doesn’t jump on people. We have always boarded our dogs when we take trips and see pictures posted showing how much fun they are having which is amazing for me because I am not stressed out about my fur babies. I know that they are well loved and cared for while there. Jenny and her team are truly amazing and they truly care about the dogs that are in their care.

We did the puppy program & it was a game changer! We sent our last dog for the offleash board & train and our only regret was not doing it sooner. So this time around, we sent the dog right away. We brought the dog from the breeder at 8 weeks strait to liberty k9 and I’d highly recommend it! We have young kids at home and needed a well behaved dog right from the beginning. Since being home, he’s been able to be on his place bed during meal times, stay in a down while putting our baby to bed, waits at the door even if the kids leave it open, and doesn’t jump on the kids or get nippy as a puppy would. He comes when called and can be out in the yard playing with us & is welcome on family walks because he’s well behaved in a leash and requires no extra effort on our part. He’s an excellent addition to our already very busy family thanks to liberty k9! We can’t thank them enough!

We picked our dog up from a 3 week Board and Train last week. I was hesitant to spend the money because she didn’t behave terribly in the first place but it was well worth it! She listens much better to commands and walks so much better on a leash. Cassandra, did an amazing job! We loved seeing daily pics of what our pup was learning and they took great care of her. We had a training lesson when we picked her up and were given written and video instructions plus we can ask questions any time. There are several pieces of equipment and a follow up lesson included in the cost along with several other perks. I would highly recommend Liberty K9!!!

Liberty K9 is a one stop shop for your canine friends needs, from training, boarding, and grooming. We sent our dog Ohlee for training and the results were AMAZING and worth every penny 100x over. Since, he has been back for boarding with options for country strolls, festive activities, grooming, etc. The LK9 team is the best, highly recommended.

Edit: 06/01/2023It has been almost TWO YEARS since I have found Liberty K9 and have sent my newest pup Mika back in April! Cassandra trained my boy Apollo and did an amazing job and when she was done with Mika I felt the exact same way! Liberty K9 is like no other… they offer everything from board/trains, daycare, grooming, all the way to their newest(and my favorite) membership group classes! They are like NO OTHER and has benefited Mika so much just in the short time that it has been introduced! She was attacked by a dog I thought I trusted not even 5 days from her return in her 4week Board/Train… she became fearful of the world. From dogs to children and everything in between… well miss Mika now is a CHAMP and we have been attending the group classes only since May ! She is a BOSS, no more reactivity at every turn and she jumps for joy when it’s her turn to go to group class! Highly recommend them and cannot speak about them enough! Great Job Liberty K9!!08/2021I would recommend Jenny and her business K9-Liberty to everyone if I could. I cannot fully explain how much she and her trainers and staff have done for my pups, they are more confident, friendly, disciplined and overall happier dogs. I came to them after trying another facility with little to no improvement towards their training and behavioral issues. My dogs struggled with leash reactivity, not very confident towards meeting dogs face to face , resource guarding, and not very confident when random people came up to pet them. They were scheduled to be there for 3 weeks and I was able to pick them up in 2 because of how far they got in their progress so quickly. In that time their leash reactivity is a .5-1/10 compared to a 8-9/10. They now are more confident to be around dogs and they LOVE to meet new people/kids/babies to the point they try to suck on peoples fingers walking by haha. I am so unbelievably thankful for them and will be going to them going forward for their monthly board/socialize and further refresher trainings if needed. If you are looking for a place that is structured, works with behavior issues and modification or training they are the place to go 100%. They are up front about everything and have very clear communication. There is not a single negative thing I can say towards their facility. Thank you!!

I first heard of Liberty K9 summer of ‘22 & registered my pup for training. Since then I’ve utilized their grooming & boarding option quite frequently. Wilbur enjoys being boarded at Liberty K9 and with the frequent FB posts, I can see he’s having fun with new friends. From the love the trainers have for Wilbur to the fun holiday specials & treats he partakes in - I highly recommend Liberty K9!

I've taken my labradors to several places in the more immediate Duluth area, and all were fine, but Liberty K9 takes dog training and bordering to the next level. I won't leave my dogs with anyone else. It's worth the short trip to Barnum because I know these ladies will take the best care of my pups! ❤️❤️❤️🐶🐶🐕🐕P.S. Both of my pups have also completed the LK9 board and train programs and the AKC trick training class. I found all of these courses to be highly effective for my babies. I worked with them a lot, as well, after, and they behave beautifully their e-collars, but I haven't needed to actually signal them in a very long time. They just know it's time for business when those collars are used.

Very dissatisfied! I wasn't aware they use shock collars until after my dog was with them for a month of their most expensive training. I got my dog back a nervous wreck. When questioned, the owner said she was unable to train him. I had to put him with another trainer for two months to have him rehabilitated, and properly trained! I would not recommend them! A waste of money!

This is the only place I will take my dog to now! Boarding is great, daycare is wonderful, grooming is excellent, and training is top-notch!I just finished a series of private lessons with my Ripley and I'm super impressed! For private lessons, the trainer not only trains your dog but also YOU. I feel so much more confident working with my dog and knowing the appropriate way to set boundaries and expected behaviors. Ripley used to pull like mad on her leash on walks but now she does a fantastic job heeling and just being better on the leash in general. And if she IS naughty, now I know the correct way to address the issue. Not only that, but she was simply ravenous and crazy going after food. Now she does "leave it" like a champ!Ripley had a blast as well! It was very stimulating for her and she was eager to learn. She's gotten a lot more confident herself and does better in general meeting new people and dogs.I will say this. No trainer is a miracle worker. The results are what you get from you, your dog, and the trainer putting in the work, and then consistency on your (the owner's) part. But it is soooo worth it.

We have been bringing our dog to Liberty k9 for almost 3 years now. We had her trained there, and she frequently boards as well! It’s so nice to know we have a safe, fun place to leave her when we can’t take her along! We couldn’t be more happy with her training, and are so thankful to have a well behaved pup! Every single staff member is fantastic and you can tell they really love dogs, and our dog loves them! Can’t recommend them enough!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about LK9 - on both the boarding and training aspect! Especially trainer Ashley. She has us given all the reassurance, and more importantly, kind & easy to accept guidance/corrections on our handling when needed. We sure are lucky to have her as a resource as our puppy continues to grow up. It was such a relief knowing our 10 month old, high energy puppy was in great hands while we were in Jamaica for a week. She slept for an entire day after coming home which shows she got all the physical and mental enrichment she needs!In just three weeks of private lessons with Ashley Fern, our dog has learned to neutralize her over-excited tendencies and hold commands around her biggest distractions (other dogs and new people). && trust me.. that’s a HUGE accomplishment for this social butterfly. I’ve never been more proud watching her hold a heel and look at me as we pass dogs on a walk rather than her give full (& obnoxious) attention to them instead. It has been awesome to see what she’s truly capable of and just simply gain some confidence in our handling ability. It will be so nice to bring her wherever she’s allowed without the anxiety that comes with having a dog out in public!

Grooming department does a great job and works with you and your dog! The Board and train program completely turned around my dogs attitude and now he’s off leash or loose inside with me and listens so well!! Also love the doggy daycare program! They do a great job with Al of their programs with keeping you updated and send lots of pictures 😁😁

I have not done the board or train, but I have used the grooming service and they were fantastic! My pup never looked better. I also really was impressed when I did talk to them about their training programs, they were very informative and explained what it entails and price. I have heard nothing ever negative about k-9 liberty.

We've been sending our pups to Liberty for almost three years. Our youngest pup Nala was trained by Cassandra and both of our pups enjoy their staycations(boarding) at Liberty. Everyone at Liberty is welcoming and kind and treats all dogs like their own. Our pups love it there.

I struggle with clipping my dogs nails. She hates it. I called liberty and asked if they would be willing to try.. no hesitation on saying.. of course. When we showed up to the very clean and welcoming facility we were greeted by the groomer who welcomed pepper in with open arms.. to my surprise pepper did perfect getting her nails clipped!!!! Perfect experience and good pricing!!

I sent my dog for a 3 week board and train and it was a great experience. Staff is friendly, the trainers know what they’re doing, and they care a lot about your dog and want to help you succeed at home. The social media update posts are done well and provide comfort when you’re away from your dog. Most importantly, the dogs are happy and cared for.

I did a few classes with my dog Nukka, a husky. She knew what she was to do at class but at home she would show the stubborn husky. She was boarded for 5 days after class. Was our 1st time away from each other. She was in the best hands and I didn't worry about her. They always post pictures of the dogs on Facebook so you get to see them playing, or eating special treats. She was even groomed on her stay before I picked her up to come home. That was nice they get that done so you don't need to wait. Would definitely recommend them.
