We left our 4-month-old puppy with them for a week while we went on vacation and Carlson Acres exceeded our expectations -- We wanted a safe, caring, interactive environment for our little guy and they definitely provided that. What surprised us was how much his manners had improved after we came back! We'd been struggling with the typical annoying puppy behaviors like jumping and mouthing. Someone obviously spent time working with him while he was there. We will definitely go back if we need to board him again and are also planning to look into the training classes they offer. Tried Carlson Acres for our 5 year old and 8 month old Australian Shepherds because we were going to be gone for 10 Days. I wanted to know that they were going to not be slowed down too much and have lots of enrichment. Chandra reassured me by letting me know that they would hold our puppy to the manners she is learning and that they would spend tons of time outside. They are happiest when outside so it was a no- brainer for me! Both dogs were totally at ease when they met Joshua and never looked back as they trotted off The pictures on Facebook reassured me, along with a quick, mid-week check in call. It was clear they had worked with the puppy on not jumping, but the best part of it all was that it seemed like our older dog really finally bonded with the puppy. She is so much more tolerant, and actually initiates play with the puppy now! Thank you so much!!!

I would absolutely recommend this place! My shih tzu had so much fun and he got so much exercise and interaction with people and other dogs!!!! If you want a worry free place to send your best friend this is definitely the place! I got lots of updates and photos of his stay!

I have sent my 4 year old lab and 3 month old mini golden doodle for a week long stay and for shorter stays! They are very personable and I trust them with my dogs 100%. It’s clean and well kept. I have no complaints and all great things to say about them!

Our 16 month old lab stayed (his first time ever being boarded) at Carlson Acres. Excellent facility, he had a great time there! He was a tired and happy boy upon return. Great communication...video clips on Facebook and personal texts with the owner helped assure us that he was having a great stay. No doubt we will have him stay again!! Thank you Carlson Acres!!

Like most dog lovers our 3 year old lab Cole is a very important part of our family. We try and take him with us whenever we can, but when we can’t we know he receives lots of attention and love while staying with Chandra at Carlson Acres. The pictures she sends us while Cole is with her shows! Chandra does a fantastic job of giving Cole individual attention along with group play time. She enjoys learning about your dog’s personality so she can best meet their wants and needs. Plus she has a large outdoor area for the dogs to run and explore. It is so reassuring for us to know that Cole is in very good hands and receiving lots of attention. This place is the best!!

I highly recommend Carlson Acres Pampered Pet Resort. We boarded our two dogs and one cat there last week, and from the time of booking to drop-off and pick-up, everything was so easy. We only board our pets once a year usually, and it's nice to know they have a safe and happy place to hang out when we leave them there. The photos received via text message of them hanging out while we were gone were much appreciated and fun to receive. Thanks so much for the awesome service! 👍

All the staff here are so kind - to us and our dogs, even when the dogs have 'issues'. Our dogs have always come away from Carlson Acres happy, and usually tired from all the exercise. 😀

It appears as if there is a general agreement here, but I wanted to also share my 5 star review about Carlson Acres. Wow, what a fantastic and caring place. We brought our 7 year old Capone there for a 6 day stay and all I can say is I don't think he really wanted to leave. That says it all! We received pictures from them while we were gone and had absolutely NO WORRIES about how he was doing while we were gone. Thank you for providing such a quality place for pets to say! Will definitely be back!

Highly recommended! I'm so grateful there is a great kennel/doggy daycare available in the area when visiting my mom. My goldendoodle has so much fun running and playing with the other dogs. He gets all worn out and sleeps most of the drive home. As a bonus, the videos and pictures are very fun and entertaining.

Our dog has stayed at Carlson Acres on two occasions over the past month. We have had nothing but a positive experience with them and thoroughly enjoyed the Facebook and text updates about her stay. They were also flexible with us regarding a drop-off issue that arose. Carlson Acres is very prompt in returning messages and it is wonderful to know that our dog is in good hands.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I would recommend Carlson Acres to everyone that needs a boarding for their fur babies. We have been extremely happy with them. I got updates every day along with pictures. My fur baby was well taken care of. He was able to run around in the acres of land they have as well as play with other fur babies. Carlson Acres were very accommodating to our needs and requests. We have already set up our next trip. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Carlson Acres for taking such great care of Me. We took our three dogs to board for the first time since we have moved back to Minnesota. We could not be happier with the care they received! They were able to stay together in a nice comfortable suite, there were big runs out in the woods for our younger dog to run and sniff to his heart's content, as well as quieter areas closer to the house for our old girl to just relax and sun herself. Our vacation was so much more enjoyable knowing our pups were being loved and well cared for.

Saalo (now Carlson's) is the most wonderful place ever. They took our nervous, scared, never left home before dog and gave him the most loving experience. They sent pictures each day showing his adjustment to other dogs, the gun he had there etc. We can never thank them enough. Made our vacation that much better. We actually could relax. We brought our 2 dogs there while we we out of town for a week. Chandra and her family took great care of our dogs. The facilities were clean and well kept up. Their prices I thought were very affordable. I highly recommend them and plan on bringing my dogs back in the future.

My princess, Belle, was well taken care of! She's a bit selective when it comes to making puppy friends, and Chandra was able to assess her personality and find friends for Belle. Daily posts were great to see my baby playing with her friends too! Love, love, love this place!

After 10 days at the resort, our fur babies came home dirty, happy, and tired. The dirt part was because I picked them up early so they didn't get their baths and they had been playing outside all week. Thank you for taking such great care of our babies!

What an awesome place to board your dog. My dog has had some issues with fitting in at other boarders we have tried but he absolutely loves being here. There is so much space for the dogs to get out and play.
