I shop here occasionally when they have the fuel saver weekends (i.e. $.30 fuel saver for every $60 spent...). The employees I interact with are always kind and greet you with a smile. When you have a question they act pleased to help you, and will help direct you to where items are if you're lost. The store shelves are rarely emptied except during the occasional sale (if you shop too late), and they keep them tidy and clean.Tip: if you want a clearance item or more specifically a floral sale/clearance item you should go through a cashier's line. Self-checkout can't always register those (sometimes they aren't in the system and need to be input manually).Update 4/20/24 The employees were extra friendly tonight, I went through checkout and the cashier was so sweet, and both the bagger and manager overseeing were polite. Thank you to the staff of the Austin Hyvee store! You guys do a wonderful job.

The chinese food is absolutely horrible now. It was so good for many years. But now it's like they don't even care anymore. Takes forever. It's never the same each time. I've given it a dozen tries because it's convenient. But just can't keep throwing my money away because that's what we did last 2 times. I do buy a lot of other things from the store. Especially meats. The sushi is very good as well. As a cook myself its just sad about the Chinese. It was a staple in our town. Now everyone knows how it is

Best service, the best restaurant inside, the hot Barthelemy breakfast, the hamburgers. The man in the cashier at the burger place was so nice and his service and attitude he was GREAT! SORRY, I forgot his name but he is there all the time. We pass through and stop for breakfast. Many times we prefer to stop here than other restaurants aroundThank you HY-VEE!!!

The pharmacy could use more help maybe. I've been using the pharmacy for 20 plus years and everyone knew my name, what I was picking up and they have always been a huge help with explaining any questions. I felt a bit bothered by my asthma medication being confused with a different med for the 3rd time, but that could have been a lack of communication on my end, but I felt unheard, and ended up waiting for nearly 1hr for my rescue inhaler. I miss the familiar faces and the comfort I had with the past employees.

Store was semi busy. Yet only two out 10 checkouts open and people backed up into shopping isles and people could not get up and down the isles. What was worse is only one bank of self checkouts open and a line all the way back to produce. What in heck is going on. Bad enough I have do your work but also have to wait for 15 minutes to have access to self checkout. Store is going backwards.

Super friendly work environment, I will recommend Hy-Vee to shop for any occasion, my kids love Hy-Vee cakes since they were little, now they are all grown up they still love them.

Hy-Vee has a great selection of a lot of things and their layout is easy to figure out. Some things can be more expensive than other places but overall if you want to get all your shopping done in one place it's great.

Ordered Chinese food online. The order was missing multiple items, over charged for others, food tasted very salty , flavorless and old. Will be the last time we order from here.

Order lunch for mealtime pick up called the phone number several times mailbox was full. Sent a text like the message said to do and nothing. After waiting I went into get the food with no idea where to go exactly. What is the point of the online steps and the sign in the parking spot if the store isn't going to use them? Then the biscuits and gravy were inedible and was given to our dogs. Overall will never order from the mealtime again. Was so disappointed.

The staff here are great and the atmosphere is great when shopping in person. I do find it hard to find things around the store and the signage doesn’t seem to match the aisles. I’ve gotten to a point I’m so busy I rarely have time to shop so I started ordering groceries online and it was great for a while but they recently changed their policies. They used to replace out of stock items with a comparable item at the same price, but now they don’t match the price. I also find they don’t have much outside of the basic groceries and I can’t even buy anything like alfalfa sprouts here. The produce isn’t the best and it’s very overpriced so I usually have to stop at Aldi to pick up what Hy-Vee was out of or was way too much.

They said they had soda on sale and when I got there there was no soda.. I asked the Pepsi rep... and he said it was a gimmick to get people in.. I guess it worked but I feel like I've got screwed over.

The sign on their door says it all. They are unwilling to pay competitive wages to staff their pharmacy for citizens, yet we see commercials about the concerts and sports venues/teams they sponsor. It shows their priority is their image and definitely not taking care of business at the local level. Dwight is turning over in his grave.Update: An armed guard walked the aisles at 3:15 pm on a Wednesday, yet no staff was available to assist in finding an item not located where their app said it would be. I now know why they abandoned their phrase "A helpful smile in every aisle."Another update: Thought I'd give them another chance with Doordash. Naturally, food not ready for driver at quoted time, "Another 10 minutes or so" was relayed to driver. This company is more focused on being a sports sponsor and having an ad presence online than providing their custo.ers competent service.Edit: I don't know why I keep thinking this company is competent. Went to take advantage of their over-marketed "perks advantage". System down. App doesn't even work either. Thanks for not breaking stereotypes of flyover country idiots in this part of the country.

Bought over $300 worth of catering food from Austin, Mn hyvee. All went well until weTransferred the ‘pork’ to our roasters,Found several raw pieces of meat!!!! called the following week was super casually and nice to the manager they gave meTheir email I sent pics and I for they said they would handle it ,no one followed up with me, I called back the next week they apologized said they would follow up with the manager and make it right, again was just wanting them to make it right and know what happened….didn’t hear back from them.Called yet again, they said sorry once again and they would call back with someSort of refund, never heard back. Once again I called this week, they said they were too busy to take my call. They would call me back. Again…Never heard back. Very disappointed and will be reporting them. Hopefully no one got sick from their mistake

Grocery store is amazing but do not use the other amenities Hy-Vee has. Their mailing system sucks. I paid priority ( fast shipping ) it’s been 2 weeks my letter hasn’t arrived. Erin was no help and wouldn’t issue a refund. I had to keep calling for updates when she said she will call for updates and try to get answers. Never did. Went to usps and my letter is basically lost. Hy-Vee won’t take any responsibility. Very disappointing. Don’t recommend using their mailing system.

I love this grocery store! I live in California so I only get to shop here when I am visiting. It is such a clean store and they variety is unreal. I especially love the yogurt selection and the keto friendly selection. I really wish they had these stores in Cali.
