You know the ice cream is just the best. Real creamy, smooth true ice cream. The staff was friendly, store was clean. Nice place to stop when your hungry or need a sweet tooth fix.The hamburger they were making looked delicious.Staff wore both masks, and person cooking wore both mask and gloves. Social distancing was encouraged during this pandemic. Very comforting .

The reason I’m giving this place such a bad review was because #1 no drive through #2 We had ordered ice cream and were standing waiting for our order for about 10 minutes, and the people who ordered well after us got their ice cream first. Not fair at all. It should be whoever orders first should get their order first. The workers acted like they knew the customers so thinking “seniority“ was involved. Good ice cream but it’s kinda hard to mess up ice cream. Won’t be going back.

My food was really hot and fresh, but the manager was really rude. She couldn't hear me cause of the plexiglass in between us and the blizzard machines running and we had to re-run my order. If I walk in again and she is working, I would walk right back out. Food was good!

Private parking is very limited and cramped. On street parking is not a very good option at this location. Service today was faster than usual but still on the slow side. Still.plenty of student age help standing around doing nothing though. No friendly smiles in this place today. Usually they are friendly but today all seemed preoccupied. No drive through availableKid-friendliness: They have ample high chairs availableWheelchair accessibility: Really hard to get into the doors. Sidewalk is extremely uneven

Place is always super busy, so there must be some appeal. I don't feel it's the cleanest, and the staff isn't that friendly. The ice cream is way over priced, but they do seem to have some fair priced lunch specials.

I called about a mistake with my order. I ordered a 6 piece chicken strip basket only to find fries inside the box. I was feeling very hangry and when I called about the issue, I wasn't very patient or calm. The employee repeated back the issue, and it wasn't right, so I corrected her. Then she said she would get the manager. I spoke with the manager and she kept asking what I ordered. She finally said she was having trouble finding my order. She said she was in the back with the cooks and couldn't remember that order. I then told her there was a guy working the drive-thru and I paid him $12 for my order. She then proceeded to tell me they do not have a drive-thru. At that point I asked what location I had just called. Turns our, I called the WRONG location and was a complete jerk as my patience kept growing thinner and thinner and the ENTIRE time, the staff were friendly. I felt really really bad when I realized I called the wrong location and deeply apologized, but the staff was super kind and tried their best to figure out my order for like 5 minutes so they could resolve the issue. Great staff! I appreciate their kindness, their effort, and their patience dealing with a super upset customer.

They have a sign on door saying they don't flip your blizzard upside down. At least the lady who's been working there for a long time still did it. Kudos to her for doing her job the right way. Ordered double cheesburgers,cheese curds, 3 blizzards(that weren't turned upside down for us), and a hot fudge sundae. All food was excellent.

Staff are awesome at the Austin DQ! I always see the same faces(I only have to remember half faces these days) which makes me feel like they treat their employees right. Covid-19 compliant. No dine in at this time. Expanded blizzard flavors that retired years ago at other chain locations. Never have screwed up my orders. Delicious and their staff make it a 5 star!

Waited ten minutes plus for someone to take our order. Then waited twenty minutes plus for our order to bite into my burger and find it still had a pulse. No blood but very pink. Told a crew member about the raw beef, he spoke to a manager but nobody ever brought it up with me or offered coupons or nothin. Disgusted and won’t be returning.

Usually very good ice cream. This time I got a chocolate dipped soft serve cone that was barely covered in chocolate. COVID has really put a damper on business. We had to send in my dad to order and carry out everything. Only 1 person allowed per group at a time.

I was just visiting town and the staff was so friendly! I really liked how clean the place was and the lovely atmosphere it had! We didnt have to wait long for our order either and it was all very delicious! We will certainly come back! Lovely ladies working!!

They mess up my order every time. Not even an exaggeration. Idk if they treat me different because of how i look (i look very alternative)No one else seemed to have a problem besides me with poor service and receiving what they ordered...If you want to get ice cream for your kids and you look a little different don't go to this place

If you want Whipped cream on your peanut buster partition or sundae you.havevto pay extra and don't realize it until you've already used your debit card . Bit down on a peanut that I actually thought was a small rock. Worried about a filling I had just gotten. Just a super super hard peanut . Really strange

Thought we would give Dairy Queen in Austin a go this evening. At first we tried to call to place our order, their voicemail box was full. Inconvenient, but we still wanted to get some Dairy Queen. We eventually had to go inside to order. We noticed they dont have procedures for keeping keeping their hands clean in between using the register and handling cash and cards and making shakes and ice cream treats. We also noticed that everyone waits for their orders together, not social distance. I know everyone has a choice, whether or not to follow the CDCs guidelines, but I don't feel like I'm going to expose myself to further questionable practices.

Hmmmmmmm actually impressed here. I normally get ice cream only buuuut that bacon cheeseburger was immaculate and out of left field. Best stop in town imo. Thank you for the fast precise and delicious meal see you soon:)

Best Dairy Queen in southern Minnesota and North Iowa always have cakes and all products you can order same family has owned Operatored this store for 30 plus years
