Don’t waste your money. Paid $90 per night for a site that was all grass, had no sewer hook up, 30 amp breaker, and no internet. All the pools were under construction and the dump station was closed. We were not told any of this prior to booking and paying. This camping site is not fifth wheel friendly. Extremely tight quarters pulling in and out so if you have a larger camper/fifth wheel you better be experienced. When we brought our concerns to the front desk the staff was rude and unaccommodating.

This place was huge!! I thought this was a great spot for camping with the family. I have 2 little ones and wasn’t sure how they would handle it and if they would be bored. They had a blast! This place has so much for kids - a pool, water slides, blow ups, arcade games, bouncy pillow, playground etc. I’m not sure why people gave poor reviews. It isn’t “BRAND NEW” but it is well taken care of. I heard 2024 they’re adding a new pool as well as redoing the current one and adding a splash pad! We will definitely be back!

We just checked out of Adventure Bound. The kids and my husband had an awesome time at the water fight. The pool does get a little packed but honestly, it worked and it was clean. The sites are very close to others but we didn't mind it as were an extrovert family. The only issue the whole time was the geese and their little dumplings they leave for the site but that's what we get for booking a pond site. Overall, it was an awesome experience and we plan on booking again in the near future. The staff was very accommodating and they really want to ensure you're having a great time and take care of their customers. I would recommend.Nearby activities: A lot to do for kids. There is the pool with slides, the bouncy castles, the jump pillow and many other activities to enjoy. Book during the water gun fight. It was so much fun!Safety: You can rent golf carts and the staff ensure you're following the 5MPH rule as there are A LOT of kids on bikes, walking and just running everywhere.

I waited a week after our trip to write this review, so that way I wasn’t just posting out of frustration. From check in, the employees seemed more concerned with their conversation than helping explain anything. The site we booked was actually quite large, I was happily surprised with that. The pool: Our first day at the pool was a Thursday. First impression was it was not well maintained at all. The cement around the edges were cracked and uneven. From one of the seasonal families at the pool, they were told last year that their rates were being increased because they were building a new pool area this year. But so far, they haven’t talked about the new pool.Inside the current pool was dirty. Sand at filled the bottom, which I get with the nearby playground. But there was also floating bugs, paper, and leaves in the pool. When we got out the first day, I told staff about the floating things in the pool. She assured me that the pool is cleaned daily at 8am.Not only was the pool not clean the next day, but I didn’t see an employee in the pool area until someone’s child had cut their hand open on one of the slides. They shut the slides down immediately, which I understand, but the kids didn’t. The employee was very rude to kids who were just trying to go down the slides. We stayed until Sunday and not once were the pools cleaned.Service: We understand the need for rules and being safe. But with the bouncing pillow we got there and read the sign that said no shoes. We jumped on it as a family but an employee came and was unpleasant talk with because we weren’t wearing socks. She said we need to read the sign. We showed her the sign that did not say we needed socks. But there was supposed to be a laminated paper that had fallen off saying socks are mandatory but it fell off as they only used tape to hold it on.Saturday at the pool an employee told some kids to ask the front desk to start the inflatable water slide. He said they normally don’t do it until they have enough seasonal guests, but maybe they would since the pool was so full. It’s just kind of odd that you’re a paying guest but aren’t allowed the same opportunities if there aren’t enough seasonal guests.Cost: The services provided there were actually quite affordable. The wood that they delivered to our site for free was much cheaper than comparable campsites. Even the ice cream and beer at the store were very reasonable considering the usual markup. But the price to stay there compared to campgrounds with better swimming facilities and entertainment, you’re not getting a good deal in my opinion.Overall: The campground feels mismanaged, not enough emphasis on customer care/appreciation. I was surprised that telling them the pool was dirty changed nothing. If they do build a new pool area, then I would say the price could be worth it. But as it is now, we will not be returning.Safety: The pool area is literally crumbling. The pools were not cleaned once while we were there. A child also cut their hand open on the slides requiring five stitches.

Even after fear the place was going to be a bust based on reviews here, our two camper group agreed it was a wonderful trip. All employees were friendly, bathrooms and pool were clean. There are great site spots in the back (further away from the freeway). Overall great experience!Their welcome center store was always decent prices too, which make it affordable to purchase a shirt, pizza and ice cream! Also pet friendly with lots of pet clean up stations!

***Do Not Stay Here***They have their locals and their yearly members-that’s great! But for those that are just visitors you can feel it! Our site was located by a pond. We thought it would be nice and lovely. WRONG! Goose poope EVERYWHERE! I mean new and old! They could have at least tried to spray it prior to other people’s arrival. We left a day early that’s how uncomfortable we felt here. The water smells bad.Everything closes down at 8pm! The pool, the bounce house, the store. It feels like they make up rules on the fly. The older staff are so rude.It also was a “wet” weekend. I get people come to camp and get wet but when we’re at our site. Not sitting with water guns, baby’s in lap, reading a book. How dare you wet our entire site. One even squirt my 4 year old in the face. My mother had hearing aids. It just was a mess! Most had the decency to keep riding around on their golf carts engaging with people who engaged with them. But that tractor I guess had no rules. They close showers at 11 the problem with that is most are attached to the bathroom. So imagine my surprise waking up and walking all over just to use the bathroom! They monitor and enforce all these things but people were up smoking, listening to loud music until about midnight. I didn’t care, but it was so hypocritical to micro manage all this other stuff but not a noise ordinance.Everything was overpriced. Stuff was broken. Have a golf cart to feel included.Better yet-just stay somewhere else. We like Hayward in WI.

There are definitely pros and cons to this place. You could tell that they were under staffed. Some staff members always seemed to be very defensive; like they were expecting you to be harsh and argumentative before the conversation even started. Also young children (under the age of 10) that were, I'm assuming, family members of staff/management would bark orders at adults and other kids. None of the activities open until 10, and that's if they open on time. None of our children sleep anywhere near that late... The mini golf course could definitely use some attention. It's in very rough shape. The pool was our favorite part. The kids spent hours swimming. Laundry on site is a nice plus also. The showers were nice also. The kids enjoyed the train ride. We never tried the cafe, so we don't know how the food was. The other downfall to us was how close to the interstate it is. You can hear the noise constantly. If it's not something you are use to it's hard to enjoy. Overall it's a pretty nice place. After talking to some people that have been going there for years they said it was better before it was bought out 2 years ago. It was a more friendly environment, more things and activities for the kids to do. Wish we could've went then.

This was advertised as a great place for kids and families. The place is so run down! The bounce houses for kids were filthy! The pool at the base of the water slides is so rough it's like hitting full grit sandpaper at the bottom. It took rhe skin off my toes. There were several injuries (skinned knees, bloody nose, pulled muscles).in the twenty min we were using them. My kids decided they were too risky and did not use the rest of the time of our stay. The cement is broken in the bathrooms and the stalls are extremely dirty and all the laundry tubs were stained ( possibly hard water). It looks like at one time it might have been as advertized but at this point it needs a major overhaul to meet expectationsset by advertising. Icing on the cake 175.00 for two week nights. Will not return..maybe ok for a 1 night stop but not a safe or clean facility.

Date of Visit: 08/04/2023 - Leaving our reservation after one night. Would NOT recommend if you’re tenting, might be OK in an RV with the insulation to help with sound proofing. Some of the areas are well taken care of and others are in significant disrepair, completely depends on which bathroom you’re using or which campsite you get. Our picnic table was falling apart & our buddy’s electrical outlet would blow a fuse anytime anything was plugged into it - even just a small fan. The water in the bathrooms - we think it’s hot water only - smells like sulfur so bad it made us gag, so we definitely didn’t shower while here. Pros: plenty of activities and tons of kids to keep your kiddos entertained, plenty of drunks to keep you entertained if you’re into that. Cons: quiet hours are not enforced as people joy ride their golf carts hooting & hollering until 3 am (we only got sleep from 3-6ish), you get to hear the semis jake brake all night long because it’s literally a stones throw from I-90, the main bathroom facilities close at 11pm so for those of us that pee frequently in the middle of the night… you’ll end up walking a distance or peeing behind a tree.

While looking for a campground to accommodate my camper, and on short notice, was able to find this gem in my local area. It is nestled right off of Interstate 90 in Austin, MN but wouldn't know it by it's camping grounds. It is well-maintained with the wildlife making their own mark on their stay there as well (geese, lol). Loved that there is a great mix of seasonal families and then the 'overnighters'. The owners and staff are simply amazing and very generous with their time and attention to your needs. Definitely looking forward to coming back with my kiddo. They had plenty of activities to keep anyone entertained, and also a pace to take it easy and relax.Nearby activities: Jumping pillow, Pool, waterslides, kiddie park, sand volleyball, ga-ga ball, playground, arts and crafts activities, corn hole area, arcade and trails.Walkability: Easy to walk the grounds of the campground. Also have golf carts/bikes avail for rent.Food & drinks: Have a convenience store and also a cafe on-site for anything forgotten/wanted.

I've been a seasonal camper here for many years since before the corporate greed took over. Our rates have gone up tremendously since they took over for next year 2024 they are at a base rate of $4100 plus if your on the creek or pond its an additional $400 for a premium site. Since they took over about 6 years ago it has basically doubled. They haven't done much upkeep over the years. We had wifi at one point (the pole remains in west side of the park), the electrical is needing major attention with breakers being blown on the box at the pole near the small bathroom. That same bathroom the floor is in need of replacement. The pool heater has been broken off and on for about 2 years now. The mini golf course is a joke but hey it did get painted this year. Since taking over they have told seasonals that a new pool was in the works this was 6 years ago!! Then two years ago they increased rates $500 saying that they were aligning rates with Kamp Dells in Waterville, of course we lack the amenities of Kamp Dells and that pool is still not being built. Last fall they claimed the state had the plans and they were just waiting on permits still. Recently the basketball hoop broke and when it was brought to the attention of Pam (the manager) she reported they would not be replacing it. Having teens what do they except teens to do besides swim? With that a seasonal camper decided to organize the other seasonals to purchase a new basketball hoop and it was installed that weekend. $210 and the corporation refused to front the bill. This happened a few years ago with the corn hold boards as well. Seasonals donated to replace those as well. I know there are many complaints about the park catering to us seasonals but let me just say we are far from being catered to and no not all the seasonals are clicky but yes there is definitely a big group that is a part of that. But I found even if you aren't part of their group if you have an issue they will quickly resolve it they just don't want new members. Once we sign the contract put a grand or more into a deck and planting grass at our sites they quickly pass us by, lie to our faces that next season we will have a new pool, Yep its been a few years and still no new pool but hey lets buy some new gold carts?!? If I could find a seasonal site open elsewhere I would be moved already. Unfortunately with the boom of camping during and post COVID finding a seasonal site within an hour of home we've found the wait lists to be 5-6 years long. When you have open seasonal sites it says a lot about a campground around here. Maybe start with the current management and get some new local faces instead of someone from out of state to run the campground maybe look at the past employees you had one in training who went above and beyond for all guests who was set to step into the manager role. It seems anyone who works or visits the campground when they don't agree with the manager they are escorted out, same as seasonals or anyone visiting the campground.

Just stopped in to get some water, figured we'd dump as a bonus and specifically asked if there was potable water to make sure we could fill our tank, they charged us 10$ and when we got to where they said, there was no water. They directed us to a site to fill water so it worked out.The rates seem really steep and the woman running the desk was snapping at children, definitely not somewhere we would have stayed longer, especially at 90 a night with a three night minimum when we're just passing through.

This is an extremely pricey campground with staff service that is hit or miss depending on the day and the person. We had a 3 night reservation (Fri, Sat, Sun, leaving Mon) which we reserved online. We were traveling with another couple who booked their site separately online. Even though we chose side -by-side sites, when we checked in, they were moved several sites away from us. We had rented a golf cart, so it wasn't a huge deal. Just annoying. When we arrived to check in, a staff member on a golf cart drove us to our site, pointed out the spot and then took off. There were two other campers across from us, both with vehicles parked right along the road making it nearly impossible to back into our site. The staff member didn't say a word to them, just went on his way. Other places we've been to at least try to assist if it's a tight spot to get into. On Saturday, we had (2) adult children who came to visit for the day. We did the responsible thing and checked in with the office when they arrived. Normal campgrounds charge a $10-20 day fee for visitors. This place charged us $128!!! They said we had to add them to our reservation, which was 3 nights @ $40 per person plus tax. We were very clear in communicating they were only staying a few hours during the day. Didn't matter. The excuse was that they could not override the computer and had to do it that way. And then to justify the ridiculous price, they noted our visitors could always come back the next day. We noted that it was Saturday afternoon, and asked why we needed to pay for Friday. We were again told it was the "computer" and they couldn't change it. I checked their website and our reservation paperwork and there was nothing regarding visitor policies. We would not have stayed there had we known we were going to get ripped off when our guests came to visit.

I read many negative reviews before going. I was expecting so many negatives. I am pleased to say I had a great time and have lots of positives to give this campground. We stayed in a family cabin. It was perched on a small pond. Great little view. It was clean and had everything we needed. 2 sets of bunk beds and a king bed. It's a schoolhouse style cabin with everything (except the bathroom) in one room. It had a deck, fire ring and picnic table. We had interactions with many staff members. All of them were kind and helpful. When we purchased firewood, they delivered it to our cabin within 5 minutes 😳! Our toilet was running and staff came and fixed it with a new part within 15 minutes. We even ran into the general manager Pam several times during our stay. I was expecting a mean and burnt out employee by all of the reviews. To my surprise, she couldn't have been kinder. She stopped us at one point on the road and just wanted to chat about how our stay was going and if we needed anything. I found her delightful. The property is not brand new, and does have a few worn out areas (mini golf) - but it was free and still a good time. The pool was fun and yes had a bit of sand in it. Again, we didn't find it too big of a deal. They had lots for the kids to do and we really found we didn't even do it all in our weekend. The only negative I could find is how late they open the jumping pillow and pool, (10am is tough when kids get up at 630) but hardly anything to get to grumpy about.I gave 4 stars because I felt it price appropriate and staff really friendly. We would go back again.

This was such a fun experience for the entire group. There is close to zero cell service (which is odd in 2023). However, we went on a "wet and wild" weekend, so having a phone in your pocket with super soakers and water everywhere... it was probably a good idea to leave your phone in the camper.Nearby activities: Spam Museum

The campground could be really great, but isn’t there yet. We stayed in a cabin. The cabin was nice, but the water smelled really bad. The pool had a ton of sand and rocks in it and one of our kids cut up his foot on them. Pam, the manager, is one of the most abrasive people I’ve ever met. She should not be in the customer service business. They do not allow visitors to your campsite, which we didn’t know prior to arrival. Seems ridiculous that we cannot have a friend come visit for dinner when it’s very expensive to stay there in the first place. The kids activities were good, but most of the crafts and things in the welcome center you had to pay extra for. They didn’t enforce a quiet time, as people were playing loud music into the night. Overall, it was overpriced for what the campground was.

We travel to different camp grounds all summer. This place is very over priced for out of town travelers staying for more than one night. Also charged extra for our own kids staying in our camper simply because two if them are over 18. However, they are students and our children. They made us wear bracelets with our site number like church daycare. The showers smelled bad and the shower caddys were rusted and broken. There were fun activities on Saturday, but the other days were boring. The pool was cold, small and not taken care of for the price you pay to stay there. The staff was rude and cranky. The breaker box didn't work when we plugged in and had to ask to have it fixed. The price is outrageous and none of the funds are put back into the campground, that is very obvious. Just corporate people lining their pockets at the expense of families trying to make memories. We could have stayed at a hotel and at least gotten free breakfast. Would not stay again or recommend this place. Very disappointing.

I needed to cancel our yellowstone trip as my husband got ill. I called on August 20 to cancel the 28th. The lady said NO REFUND.but would credit us for another stay. Did she not hear me!. My husband actually is having triple bypass surgery so our future to camp is unknown. She was not the only camp I needed to cancel. And the norm was they took 10% off. She took $98.78 for 1 nite. She did wish my husband well.

I would not recommend this campground. We chose this place for our family’s yearly camping trip and it was a huge disappointment. The pool and jumping pillow don’t open til 10am and close at 8. The kitchen closes at 7 even in the middle of summer on a Saturday night and not even Ice cream was allowed to be served. Pretty ridiculous. The manager Pam was not personable or polite what so ever. Very VERY rude. Other staff members were not much better. We were sitting at the pool Friday night and we literally shooed out at 8. The campsites are nice and spacious and showers were nice but not worth the price.

Great campground, nice spacious sites. Also they have small cabins for our friends who didn't have a camper! Friendly service, hardworking team of people ranging from teens to the owners who work hard all day long. We had electrical problems and the owner spent lots of time trying to help us! Very amazing. They have a nice pool and waterside pool, and the weekend we were there had a big blow up waterside for the kids, a train, jumping deal, and lots of other fun things. They also have a very nice shower and laundry building! We also could rent a golf cart, which was fun! The camp store was very nice with lots of fun things for the kids. They also have icecream by the scoop! Great place, fun laid back atmosphere! We definitely will come back!

Campground is very nice and clean. Cabins were also very nice. Unfortunately I would not stay here again due to the management. The pool and jumping pillow close at 8:00 p.m. The arcade and office close at 4:00 p.m. You can’t rent peddle bikes after 3:00. My son tried to buy ice cream in the afternoon. He was told to come back in an hour. I felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff. I have never been to a campground where things close so early. I have been to many campgrounds and I have never experienced this before. I was not impressed.

If you want to experience drunk cart drivers all day along with the smell of weed and possibly other substances, then go ahead and book. They lashed out at me for loosing a wrist band yet did nothing to cut the late night drunk party close to midnight. Prices are up this summer yet Saturday is the only day when kids have rides, used to be daily in the past including during the pandemic. Fewer activities yet more angry receptionists. I suspect the lady in the ranger station may have been misgiving cash change. When I tried to clarify on one occasion, she started asking me about distinct things such as where I got my shoes from. I can continue the list but will stop here. We have been coming to this park for 6 years but this is our first time this season. The experience left us speechless. Someone mentioned there is a new owner but how bad could this be? No wonder there are so many empty spots which is very unusual for this time of the summer.

Me and my family used to love this campground when it was “Yogi bear” after going under new management we were skeptical about going again but thought we would give it a try. Most of the staff was very rude. There Costumer service was ridiculous. The office closed very early so people could not get things they may have needed or forgotten. They did not have very many activities for kids and the ones they did have were small and short. The bathroom/shower house is only open from 7am-11pm and was very dirty and just not well cleaned or taken care of. And last but not least, when getting ready to leave and pumping out the waste the were completely full on our campsite and the ones next to us. I can definitely say I will not be going there any time soon

Let start off by saying shame on me for not reading reviews first. I booked a trip for my kids, my mom and myself. This was my mothers first trip with the grandkids. Trip started good. The front desk staff lady was nice. Mind you she was one of the only 2 nice staff members in the whole place for the 3 days we were there. I will give 1 star for the nice cabin and beautiful trees and it was all down hill after. Over priced in general. Golf cart rental price is outrageous. we go on 3-5 vacations over spring and summer and have been many places to compare. First off they give you a schedule..it's for the weekend, not the week day so you better just know when stuff is going on. I had to go all the way up there to ask. Lots of games dont work in arcade, they dont give you your money back(fyi) one employee claims they have been broken for sometime, even though they never put up an out of order sign. Pool is ice cold. Water slide closed. Activities not open until 10am. Not all activities are open or guaranteed to be open per website. If you are planning on going be forewarned. Inflatable only open 1-3pm. Mini golf not even usable as the condition of the green is so poor. Then had a few bad encounters, we were accused and yelled at by a staff member for messing with equipment that was in fact not touched by us or the only other party that was in the area. It was operated by their own staff, that we watched touch and open up (How would we know how to operate equipment!?) When the encounter went down we told the Rude staff member it was not us and it was their staff. She then integrated us about what he looked like. It was awful and she was raising her voice infront of children. While there, we talked with many unhappy campers as they have had many issues and delt with non stop rudeness. Also met 2 other family's that have been going on weekends for 4 -5 years and said this will be there last year and has gone so down hill completely. We paid for wood. They didnt deliver or take out of wood box for us, didnt even offer. Another camper stated they arrived after 4pm and was a nightmare as there was no staff working to check them in bc the office was closed. so much for going to the store, renting anything or getting fire wood.I was looking forward to this fun vac making memories with my mom and kids and left heartbroken, disappointed and to be honest couldn't wait to leave. I'm heartbroken we couldn't have a fun fill vacation with good memories. We were accused of things we never did, witnessed the manager put down staff and favor rude staff. We're let down we didnt get to do activities we wanted to or thought we would get to do by going there. We were made to feel like we were a pain and our complaints feel upon deaf ears, when we said a complaint when leaving. We were told many times by staff they are short staffed. Well you treat your good staff awful and everyone there is rude. Who wants to work in a horribley negative environment!? They don't care how they treat you, that's apparent. They will just get the next guy and take his money. Will definitely not be going back until it's under new ownership/management.

All in all, the campground was nice and clean. We liked that the sites were able to face each other since we were with friends. The major complaint I have is that we had a guest come Saturday to Sunday (we arrived Thursday) and we were forced to pay like he was there all three nights. They said it was their system and couldn’t change that. So instead of an additional ~$20 we had to pay ~$60. Pretty disappointing for a one night stay for a guest. Seems a bit excessive.

We visited Labor Day weekend with my 6 and 11 y.o. We had a great time. We stayed in a cabin on the little lake with paddle boats. There was so much to do. The kids loved the crafts, arcade, inflatables, jumping pillow and of course the pool. There was a concert one night and a light up golf cart parade another. The kids LOVED it all. I enjoyed quiet time on the patio! Everyone was respectful of personal space and it was so nice to have a place the kids could run, play and feel “normal.” The staff was super friendly and seem to really love the kids and activities. The cabin was clean, beds were comfy and the water was hot. We will be back for sure!
