I called about our golden retriever needing deshedded and trimmed up. We dropped her off and when we came back to pick her up she wasn’t ready yet but we could she her getting brushed out on the table and she looked so good and was sitting like such a good girl. She smelled great, her coat was shiny again and had an overall very good first experience. Thank you!

Fish are kept in really bad water. Smells horrible. Bought fish about 6 months ago and I put them in an established tank with good water. They were lethargic and died in two days. Went in a couple days ago to buy ich treatment for my fish, it was overpriced but there aren't any options in town other than WalMart and it wasn't available there. She was too busy taking pictures of her new fish that arrived that were still in bags to ring me up (bag are why the fish were still alive probably). The little dog that was there running loose was limping around and constantly shaking.

Absolutely horrible. My friend trusted your company with her dog, and when the dog was returned she had cuts and scrapes. She looked horrible. Not only that but the groomer blamed it on a shampoo? When my friend demanded for her money back the worker told her no. Do NOT come here.

I didn't even think that a pet store could give me more of a bad experience. I walked the entire mall for 35 minutes searching for the store. Finally called the store.. Was directed incorrectly. Walked around outside for 10 minutes. FINALLY found the door that you can only access from OUTSIDE. Opening the door I was met by a small dog barking and almost not pleased with us entering the store. I awkwardly walked around the store with the dog barking and no one around. I'm sorry but I really didn't want to spend almost an hour searching for the store only to find it and leave right out the door. First time here and also the last. Save yourself an hour and go somewhere else.

Very un happy with this pet store. When I went in I was by a small white dog. Seemed very shy but kind. To the left a lady came out like ahe had just been eating. Said nothing to us when we came in. She went to back of store and had a larger black I think poodle on the grooming table. So obviously this dog was left alone at that table. It's small kinda cluttered. We finally figured out where the fish were. Not a. Ig selection. But most of the tanks had dead fish. One in particular on top had several dead fish. While me and my child were looking at them. U could clearly hear and see this women getting upset and yelling at the dog she's grooming. I side the area where she's grooming is cages of birds. The dog she was groooming was standing there shaking when we walked past to leave. And looked like perhaps some kind of an injury to it's back left knee. My child was in a very big hurry to get out. An usually he loves pet stores. I will not return to this store again.

This is not a caring place for pets. There are a couple of groomers you can drive to within 15 mins who are better reviewed and gentler with dogs than them, please go there instead. My dog had razor burn and was shaved almost bald even though I requested that his hair be kept longer. Patty was kind to me, but the service was slow and uncomfortable at times.For those interested in a Cat or Dog, please contact the Lakes Area Humane Society in Alexandria.

I frequented this business the most when it was in its previous location inside the mall across from Joann Fabrics. I have many happy memories going there and seeing all the animals whenever my family came to the mall. It breaks my heart to see so many negative reviews. I visited the new location about a year ago and they only had 1 person on staff, but they were friendly and it didn't smell. Things would probably be better if they downsized their inventory, cleaned a little better, and showcased the animals they did have.

Please shut this horrible place down! We had purchased a puppy from there 5 years ago. We tell people we saved her because she was in a tiny kennel with another lab. This cage was disgusting and too small for a bunny. When we brought her into the vet they said she had a spine disorder that was most likely from a puppy mill. We stopped to see if this place was still selling puppies and I feel so horrible that it is. I have been in many pet stores and I have never smelled anything like the odor that comes out of that place. They can blame it on the fact there are a lot of animals, but there are many animals in all pet stores but this is the only one that smells like there are dead animals. If someone wants to save an animal go there and get them out of the hands of these horrible people, at least at a shelter they get better treatment. Please Alexandria shut this horrible disgusting place down. It is an embarrassment and very immoral to have this place in my home town.

I showed up 10 minutes before they closed, I get that, but they'd already closed! Not keeping the posted hours is a big no no for a small business in my opinion. I ONLY wanted to look at the rats. I knew I was arriving close to closing time, and didn't plan on wasting anyone's time.I wanted another rat rat so badly, and I live in Fergus Falls. I'd come to Alexandria for a doctor's appointment. Rats are very hard to find locally. I RUSHED to your store to make it in time.......only to be disappointed because your employee didn't keep appropriate shop hours!If I lived in Alexandria, and bought my food from you? I'd be worried, and would just go to another pet store to buy my supplies.*I would have been there even 5 minutes earliER, but GPS kept indicating you were IN the mall, so I'd looked there first.Just really disappointed.

I can't say i care for the way this store is operated. The smell of animal feces is overwhelming, and the animals are kept in poor condition. Dirty or no water provided. Reptiles kept in substandard conditions, housed with incompatible species, outrageously priced. Also several with obvious health issues, like their bearded dragons! I understand they are in it to make profit, but if you can't care for the animals sell supplies only! Will not visit this location again.

Weren’t even acknowledged throughout the 15 minutes we spent here. Employee, who I’m assuming was the owner was having a casual conversation on her phone the entire time. Very disappointed with the level of service, especially as we were planning on spending well over $1k at the store. It takes a lot for me to post either negative or positive reviews. So take it as you will.

Easy to get into for grooming. They do a good job at reasonable prices. The physical store isn't as nice as many. The grooming is excellent and they seem to really like having our dog. It sure beats having to schedule grooming weeks out.

My parents bought a dog from there a couple days ago, almost a week and the puppy has been crapping everywhere! The people at the shop said that the puppy had his deworming shot according to the paper work. My mom brought the little guy into the vet and turns out he is COMPLETELY full of worms. I don't recommend buying an animal from this place let alone trusting their word.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THESE CRAZY PEOPLE. I picked my dog up after grooming and both his ears were clipped. Two deep gashes on both ears same size and exact same spot on both ears. that is no coincedence. They need to be shut down. If i could give no stars i would. Does nobody realize all her reviews are 1 star except for maybe 4 or 5.. somethings fishy and its not just the store smell!

We bought a parakeet from Patti's Grooming store, which was described in the online ad as "handfed and tame", and cost $50 dollars. We drove 2 hours to get him, as handfed parakeets are not easy to come around these days. We found a poorly kept smelly store, and instead of tame parakeet, a terrified of people little creature, with bleeding beak from grinding (so that it wouldn't bite, I guess). We couldn't leave him there, so we paid and brought him home. There was nothing tame or handfed about him. Poor bird was so terrified of people, he wouldn't eat or move when he saw us for a week. After two weeks he died. I tried to get a refund, but was told by Patti that "she never gives a refund for animals".This store is an animal mill, with lots of puppies and parrots kept in small cages and looking desperate. Bad place.

Very cute little pet store, they have a HUGE selection of toys and treats! When it comes to animals the owner has to be one of the most knowledgeable people I have ever met, I actually felt like I learned how to better care for my little dog

We drove 3 hours each way to buy a hand tame parakeet and he's been an amazing bird. Her and her son hand tame them. My friend is gonna drive from Farmington to pick one up soon. Well worth the drive!!

The most terrible experience I've had. I went with my daughter to ask if I had to make an appointment to clipped my dog's nails and trim around his eyes (because it was the first time and I have no idea how is the service here), but unfortunately we had not put a foot inside the store and the man who was there told us that we had to go because he was leaving and there was nobody to help us. It’s a shame that he couldn’t t even give me the good afternoon or ask me if I needed something in particular, this shows the lack of values we have this days. With this experience I don’t t return to this place.

I bought my frist puppy here and she is doing wonderful. I buy my dog food from here all of the time and when i am their i usually stop in to see the puppies. Jerry Novacek and Candi Willey were being very rude. Cause seriously theres a reason theres a sign on that door to keep people like you out! For people that are going to complain when there pre warned are just plain stupid! Oviously it's going to smell worst then your house when you have 10 times the amount of animal in one room! Just because i was curious i called the Alexandria Police and ask them about it being shut down because of a dog dieing and diseases. Well the fact is that it wasn't ever shut down and it's ver rude of a person to say something like that just to make their review sound worst then it actually is. Patti does a wonderful job on my dog Shadow and i have been going here and will keep going here forever! This place is very friendly and is very generous!

I stopped in there and was horrified to find bird waters were green with a calcium ring around it. This takes time and serious neglect to create! Now there is a sign on the pet room door that says "if you can't stand the smell stay out". When the door opened and the smell came out it was if a dead animal was in there rotting. Cages are filthy. When I reported her they informed me they had shut her business down twice before due to diseases and a dead dog found in the business. Just horrifying! She should be shut down for good.

I have been to this store in person twice. The first time I walked in and there was literally no one in the store that I could see. I walked out after 5 minutes. Second time there was a guy sitting in a chair behind the desk and never once got up and said hello or offered any help. He kind of creeped me out so I left. Then I tried calling to see about a dog grooming. I called twice and both rang and went to voicemail.Not pleased or happy about this store. Not worth anyone's time to keep this place afloat

Worst place to go!! Waited 25min for her to show up and we were there for a nail clip she was so aggressive Against him and putting clip against his throat when we were about to pay I looked down at him and I noticed his front left was bleeding from being cut to short. My dog is a emotional service dog so he is not aggressive at all! The smell was horrible and all the animals were in such a bad environment all cages on top of each other.

This pet store is in terrible condition, it smells and you can tell the animals are not being taken care of. I once bought a rat from here and it had respiratory issues that caused him to pass away before he was a year old and a friend of mine got a rat from here that was pregnant. They are all kept in a bin, males and females not separated. This store gives me more than one reason to say: ADOPT DONT SHOP.
