Never again will I Make a large purchase at this store. I purchased an upright freezer, online and when I got it home it made this awful squealing noise when it ran. Since it was still under the 90-day warranty, I was able to return it and get a new one. Well that new one that I received, the touch screen was not working so I had to get yet another one. They have not yet been here to deliver the new one so I guess we will see what happens with that, this will be my third freezer from Menards. Never again!

Terrible employees, walked in to kill time and immediately had workers following us around and call security because we were looking around. They refused to let my african american friend buy gummies and completely disrespected us. They later called security on us and kicked us out for looking at cereal.

We are hooking up a sound bar, Megan was very helpful! The display moved, behind it was the item we needed. A 6 ft. Fiber optic cord. Megan was friendly and asked if we needed any more assistance.. very kind! Dog treats, air freshener, Mt dew, zip lock baggies.... everything on our list!!!

I shop here all the time. (Sorry, no college for you, my children.) Customer service is typically sub-par if you can actually find someone. But most of the time I don’t. I finally used their app to order a few items for my wife to pick up rather than her hunting for them. Found out the pickup is on the far back side of the store. So she had to park and wander around trying to figure out where pick up was for five minutes before she found a human to ask. Would have been faster to draw a treasure map and sent her screen shots of the items I need. If they’re going to have customer pickup or items (small items, not stuff in the lumber yard), they should have it by the front. That’s kind of ridiculous.

Great-great customer service. I've bought stuff from just about every department in the store and all the people were great to work with and very helpful. They have the products i need .. Very good prices.. The Alexandria store has been a great place to do business.

Menards is the place to go for tools and hardware. It's a good store with fast check out and decent prices. Staff is always pleasant, however on visit Friday evening, you could tell they were short staffed. I had to wander around for quite I while hunting stuff down. When I did see a staff member they already had a customer holding them by there sleeve.

I just returned items at Menards and had the best service ever. I normally have good service at the return desk, sometimes it can get long, only because customers have lots of needs, but I just had the fastest most pleasant experience today. Micheal at the return counter was eager to help, chipper, informative, returned my items and I was out faster than jimmy Johns.I want to give a special shout out to Micheal working the customer service at Menards today. You will goes a longs ways. Great job

I had the wonderful experience of dealing with a young man named Chase out in the yard. We did not know where to locate our plywood. Two other workers looked at me and did nothing. Chase asked if I needed help. He proceeded to help us AND loaded our purchases. I would like to commend him on a job well done.

Great customer service. I called to check availability on the fencing supplies I needed, when I arrived at the store they had the print out of my fence supplies on the counter in the building materials area and were expecting me. I hadn't realized that the lumber yard was a self service area, so I asked for assistance in getting everything loaded since I was on my own. A very kind yard employee (I did not get his name) spent the next 35 minutes helping me find all of my supplies and get them loaded into my truck.

Was greeted right after entering. The store.the store was clean. All but one employee was helpful and friendly. Victoria was unhelpful and gave me the feeling I was bothering her. When I asked her if I should go some place else to get paint mixed to match the color of spray paint I was buying. She said I would need to go somewhere else. She was the employee that was working in the paint department. I did but the 2 cans of spary paint but didn't buy a gallon of matching paint. I did notified a manager and stated he would talk with her. The store was also well lit. The parking lot was clean.Update today I went to Menards for cat litter and cat food. While checking I asked if someone could help load the litter 4 40lbs boxes. I can get them in the cart but can't I lift the out. I'm vertically challenged okay I'm short. The cashier immediately paged for assistance. The older gentlemen who assisted me was great.

Store was fine. The check out person Max not friendly at all. Not nice to my husband. I got some things also. Then one on the seed packages went under belt so had to go get another one. Then tried to charge me for the person's stuff behind me. No very happy !!!!!

Menards is like a Wal-Mart.. They're all good. It's just that some are better . at this one the help that we encountered was good. Nothing outstanding or exceptional.. We bought some stain in the paint department. It was quite busy but the help was able to keep things moving nicely.

Only two registers open on a Saturday? Might as well buy from Amazon if you're going to be waiting that long.Getting lumber is the most confusing process ever. Go to the back of the door to get the picking sheet. Then go to the front of the store to pay. The go to the back of the store to get the lumber. So. Confusing. Why are screws half way across the store from the lumber yard? Even dog food is closer than the wood screws!

My dad who doesn't hear and I were at the Menards in Alex needing a door. Norm was a great help! Also helped my 92 yr old dad with a gutter piece. Norm, you treated my dad with respect. Not many show the great patience as you. Thank you so much!

Everyone who helped me tonight was amazing! Super helpful, kind & understanding! Several associates happily helped me find various items in different departments. I had a problem with my credit card & the cashiers & managers who helped me were all so nice & helpful & patient while we got the issue resolved. Really good experience... They made my night! We picked up a lot of stuff and it was so great that they help us load it all in to the truck the store is very clean I do wish the 2x4s would have been in better shape and digging through the pile to find good ones was not fun ..but the survives there was great they had everything we needed an I love the 11%rebate

Customer service is very average at this location. It feels like more a bother to most employees that they are needed by a customer.Also, they need to put some buttons throughout the store when a customer needs assistance. To hunt down an employee for help is a hassle!!

I like Menards for the quality of products and the 11% rebate. We have been here many times for tons of different reasons. The service is hit or miss depending on what department you are in. We purchased our fencing materials and it was a mess. My husband had to go 3 separate times to try to pick up materials that they said were in stock but were not. Wish they were more organized.

I worked in a Menards in another state about 12 years ago. I worked in building materials and the yard through college. While I have decent service when I purchase something from the yard, I mostly spend time trying to find someone to help. Not sure if things have changed but we were always taught to approach every customer you see to see if they need help. It seems that the yardworkers here practice avoiding you if they can. I understand that some of the workers in the yard are pulling loads for delivery, however, we were still told to stop and ask each customer if they need assistance, this doesn't happen here. We were also told to walk along with the customer if they were trying to find something in the store, this happens for me approximately 10% of the time.

I love coming here to get all sorts of stuff as we have been fixing up our house. They have a great selection and it's a one stop shop for fixing up our house. The only reason that I didn't give it a 5 star is because almost any time I need help I cannot find anyone to help me. It has been improving recently but now I know where most everything is. But that is a small draw back to getting great deals!

Sale items can be tough to find, but the staff is great. Love the rebates!As of C-19: I'm not a fan anymore. Had to leave because they refused entry to my toddler. Apparently they're scared of kids. I went later to spend a rebate and was policed for breathing with my nose unclothed. Menards really jumped on the fear train and lost my business because of it. It's a nice drive to Home Depot.

Went in during covid mask days, and everyone was polite and helpful. Went to multiple departments and I needed help, at each one an employee was readily accessible and helpful. Ordered some special lumber for pick up, drove an hour to get there, and the wood I ordered was great, but the 4x4 cedar posts were really picked through in the size I pre purchased... but they allowed me to get the next size up with no charge. Top notch service. Thank you!

We went to purchase a fire table yesterday. Matt in the outdoor/patio furniture area was extremely rude to us. We asked if a table that we saw online was on display, it wasn’t. We asked if the item was in stock so we could see it (hard to buy something for $500 without first seeing it). Matt stated that he’d go check. He went and came back a while later with it on a flatbed cart. We asked if we could open the box just to look at it (wanting to make sure we knew what we were buying before we brought it home), he immediately said “I’ll go put it back on the shelf it’s fine you don’t want it.” We asked again to just look at it and he said “I’m putting it back on the shelf, you don’t want it, I haven’t had time to build a new demo for the floor of this. You just don’t want it.” We never asked for him to build it, we never asked for him to bring the large item to us and we definitely never said we didn’t want it. We simply asked if the item was in stock and if we could view it before purchasing. When we asked to speak to a manager, we waited over 15 minutes. One employee paged two managers (who never showed up) and one employee just pointed us in the direction of where he saw a manager “a while ago.” Extremely poor customer service at this location and very rude employees!

Has a ever expanding inventory including a new kitchen sink! Great stop for the essentials. Even milk and eggs. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and organized. Excellent display and selection of seasonal items.

The customer service at this Menards is the absolute worst other than a select few people that "work" here. It seems to be a very big hassle/burden to the majority of the employees that "work" here when you have a question. It seems like they all have better things to do than help a customer. And if/when you do get an answer from anyone, it's typically followed with additude. I would highly recommend going to any other store to get what you need. Very unimpressed and disappointed with how this store runs and operates. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the selection they have, and most of what you need is usually in stock. I've spent thousands of dollars at Menards, but I don't know if I plan to spend another dime at this location unless they are the only option I have left.

My wife and I had an enjoyable time shopping the Alexandria Menards today. What a huge variety of items to choose from! Plus, the 11% rebate was going on so we saved money on our purchases today, plus I used a rebate payment check from Menards at the checkout till. Several employees on the store floor, and in the garden center, happily directed us to the location of our desired items. Then, the super efficient and pleasant check out employee wiped down the counter and the credit card machine between each customer. Everybody in the store was masked up. Very pleasant experience.

I know nobody will believe this, but it is 100% true! I was helped inside the store! And also outside in the lumberyard to find my items! Not just once, but twice in one visit! I'm going to buy a lottery ticket now! Whooooohoooooo
