This grocery store has gone downhill since changing ownership. You used to regularly be able to find deals scattered through the aisles - now you're lucky to find something on sale that's not expired. Quality of products have gone down, prices have gone up, and it's nearly impossible to find any sort of value there anymore.Check your dates and your product very closely. I'm shocked at how often I'll find something that's expired by a month or more.

Excellent selection of quality foods. Grade A fruits and vegetables are effectively displayed. The meat counters are maintained with meticulous care. Lots of options from which to choose. And the staff are very helpful and friendly.

This place is definitely not what it used to be. Since the change in management the workers seem miserable and are very rude to customers. I bought hamburger 92% and there was more grease then what would have been if I would have saved the money buying 80%. Lying to your customers ain’t it. I will be taking my business elsewhere..

Since the new owners took over everything has gone downhill and prices went uphill about 30%. You used to be able to get good deals here but no longer... A donut at the beginning of the year was 99¢, now it's $1.29. Employees don't seem happy and sound like they aren't getting paid or treated better than how the previous owners did. No longer offer the 5$ off when you spend 30$ they bumped it to 50$ and then axed the coupon entirely. Produced goes bad after a couple days because it's already spoiling when it gets brought in. Save your money and go anywhere else.

This grocery store felt pretty big with an atmosphere similar to a Lunds & Byerlys. They have a bakery, a deli, and a flower shop with some helpful staff. I think the only thing that would make this place better is a pharmacy inside the store. I bought a German chocolate birthday cake from here today and it tasted pretty good! They also have a huge card selection section that were all 50% off. It looked like this year marked the grocery store’s 39th anniversary. I think they’re doing some kinda giveaway.

I love their fruit trays they are always seem to be really really good I went there a few days ago when I was not that impressed but I did buy some pineapple and some watermelon I like the produce section everybody knows it's the best there is if you don't you do now

They suffer from the same thing every other grocery store does. Not enough open registers and the line was halfway across the store.

There this am- store was busy. I went thru self ckout- had to ask for help. Customer service person was there and acted disgusted that she had to help me. Said they were short on help and she didn't usually work there. I said someone needed to help me! So much for service with a smile!😵‍💫

This cake I designed for Elden’s bakery to make for my brother in law’s celebration of life. We couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out.This has always been our go to place for special cakes. They do a phenomenal job !! I most definitely would recommend Elden’s bakery.

On the spendy side, but it's a great store. The produce, dry goods, frozen, dairy, bakery, and deli are always well-stocked. The staff are friendly and helpful. The store is kept very clean and tidy. Sometimes certain kinds of products can be difficult to find and the overhead aisle signage isn't necessarily helpful all the time.

One of my favs places to get groceries. Can be a bit spendy, but they have LOTS of good sales and the coupons on their app are always awesome too. Plus the employees (most) are very pleasant, happy, talkative and helpful!

I am a senior citizen. I have a card from Medicare to use for discounts on fresh fruits and vegetables. (Called Healthy Savings)..I tried to use it at Eldons yesterday and they do not accept it!! That’s terrible!!

The store is very clean and easy to get around. The meat department was outstanding and shelves are always full. I haven't spent any time in the deli so I can't give you a honest review. Excellent customer service!!

Old fashioned grocery store, reminds me of younger days. Prices are higher than big box discount stores, but decent for a town grocer. Food is generally good quality and fresh, and the variety is surprisingly large.

Store is clean, prices are average, employees are friendly and helpful. Great specialty items including sushi 🍣, and cheeses. Well stocked natural foods department and dairy alternative items. Outstanding ice cream selection and soda selection.meat department has a good selection of meats including smoked fish (my favorite). Meat department is knowledgeable and helpful. Checkout is normally quick. Besides 4 self checkouts they open enough registers to check customers out quickly. Easy to get in and out of the store.

When you go in its fast prices are ok for being a small town store not like cub or Walmart for prices but quality is better. I called one day to ask a question I got transferred once which took the person 5 min to get to the phone then I asked they said let me go check and 30 minutes later I was still waiting I finally hung up was very disappointed. I will never call again if I'm unsure I'll go somewhere else. If I'm sure they have it or it's not a priority on my list I'll stop in.

My past 3 visits were not up to the standards that Eldens has displayed over the years! The store was busy and I can’t understand why you just don’t open another checkout! And then subject your customers to a very rude associate/ self checkout police, if she doesn’t like her job, put her in the back room where she won’t have to interact with the customers that make her job possible! She snapped at my wife and also another gentleman at the self checkout! Might become a CUB shopper where one could be greeted with a smile!

I was impressed by the selection of this hometown local grocery store. Big place, clean and friendly staff. dock one star for the stoner helping customers at the deli counter. That kid couldn't tell the difference between turkey or potato salad.

Good selection. Can find items here that are not available in other stores. Have been overcharged for produce a few times and had to return items. Parking lot is sometimes difficult to enter and exit. Store is often busy with long lines. Seems they need a bigger store and more checkout services.

This store is hands down the BEST place to buy groceries in Alexandria. Staff has always been very helpful and kind. The store is always organized and sparkling clean. Their produce ALWAYS fresh.. HUGE thanks to those who helped me find the apples for my neighbor!!

What a great Grocery Store! We were in town for a wedding and stopped in to grab snacks. Such a great vibe inside and the employees were all very friendly. It really feels like a "family' run business and not just another chain store.
