Fantastic!The water pump failed on our Jeep late on a Friday evening. I called Dan's and they said they could help no problem. Zac was very helpful! He was up front with the pricing and said they would have someone heading our way shortly. We were about 30 miles north of town. I asked if he knew of a good repair shop that was open on Saturday and he recommended Diamond Buick GMC. (See review. They were wonderful!) Jordan arrived in about an hour. He was very nice, courteous and professional. He delivered the vehicle to the dealership and my wife, our dog and I to the Holiday Inn nearby. Excellent service! Great people! Thank you Dan's Diesel! You made a difficult situation so much better!

I was lucky that my rental car stopped worked a mere 1.5 miles away and they were able to tow within about 30 or so minutes from when I called them. The two guys who met me on the side of the road were nice, and one of them was married to the woman I talked to on the phone who was also very helpful.

My van started acting up in my trip from MN to IL today, & every mechcnic was closed.But I called Dans, & they agreed to wait 30 minutes for me to arrive, so they could get me fixed & back on the road.Guess my van has an oil leak, cuz she had NO OIL at all! Luckily I didnt blow the engine , & they added oil & got me right back on the road, in under 10 minutes!I appreciate yall SO much for helping me out today!!!

Need a new wiper blade for a older T800 a style that no one really carries. Long story short they had to get a little old school and got us going ...only down side was they where out of hoodies...but even one was very friendly and helpful

I’m an OTR truck driver and had a load to get from West to East… going trough MN before stoping for my 10 hour break in Alexandria Pilots truck stop my truck started vibrating and i stopped to check it out on the side of the road! I was 20-25 miles away from Pilot!When i opened the hood i had oil everywhere… called the nearest tow company Dan’s Diesel towing and repair ( a friend recommended them)Katie answered fast(it was arround 2 am)! Jon got The tow truck where i was as fast as he could and helped me get to the shop in Alexandria MN (Dan’s Diesel inc)!Even though the shop was closed on Saturday he checked the truck out to see what the issues can be besides a broken oil pipe that goes from the transmission to the oil cooler!To make the story shorter i ended up having a bad transmission because it went out of oil , a bad clutch because of the vibrations that were created by the transmission, oil lines that go the oil cooler , a lot of work had to be done! The parts are realy hard to get these days but Jon and Katie and Pat tried their best to find the parts as fast as they could!Usualy to get a transmission and a clutch in most shops takes over a week … i got everything done in a few days!Besides Jon and Katie i also meet the entire team Nathan, Pat, Aron, Ryan, Dan and all are professional and nice hard working people!Jon and Katie got me from and to the hotel daily , treat me good… just amazing people!Whenever i will have repairs or when I’m traveling through Alexandria MN will definitely stop by this shop! Amazing people.Amazing service!Thank you guys and special thank you Jon and Katie who were the best people i’ve meet in a long time! Too expensive they charge me $485 for only 2 hours labor when I asked the guy at front office the told me our labor is really expensive, even they don’t know what they are doing, they want to make money that’s their goal, it’s wasting time and money also expect overcharging, avoid this place as well as you can,

Very honest people! Definitely a breath of fresh air from the usual grumpy mechanics/workers you find at most shops who seem to be ready to give a driver an attitude. These guys are friendly and actually greet you with a smile and show concern! Come in with respect and you’ll get respect in return.

1948 $ to fix def line (got charged 234$ for the part wich is tooooo much expensive .. def line price won't exceed 100$ at the dealership) ... only to replace def line and clear the engine light costs almost 2000$ I'm thankful it wasn't major work otherwise the bill will exceed 20 grands ... the mechanics were so nice( reason why I gave 2 stars) forgot to mention that the engine light turned on again after 200miles . It was a nightmare 😔

I happened to lose not one but two drive tires in the Pilot parking lot at night. Service tech Aaron spoke with me and assured Dan’s could repair my truck. The next morning I checked in with Katy who was genuinely courteous kind and understanding to my situation. I left my cell number so I could be contacted. As I waited in the Pilot drivers lounge, Katy didn’t call, but took the time to walk over to the lounge to give me an update! Then when truck was complete, again, she made the walk!! Attention Truck drivers!!!! Please don't use this shop. They don't know what they are doing. I did injector cups on my truck, they charged me more than 40 hours of labor. Cost me 9000$ for injector cups and diagnostics. Took almost 10 days for repair. They will rip you off. They never asked for authorization for repair or extra time. I just paid over $1,400 for a simple winch out on a Saturday at 2:00pm, less than 5 miles from their station. The attendant said it would be after-hours rates, but did not tell me until after it was completed that the minimum price was $1,400. She also refused to give me a price list to validate the claim that those were standard rates, and blocked our truck from leaving until the bill was paid, threatening to tow it.Never, ever again. I deal with many tow companies across many states, and this is absolutely ridiculous. I will be contacting local law enforcement and the BBB for this unethical business practice; to perform a service, without price authorization, for a ridiculous price, and demand payment without justification or they will incapacitate your vehicle.Service: Car towing

Without coming just $600 charge. And they don’t know will fix or not. I am agree to pay but what for? Suggestion mechanic should be able get connection with customer. And then your business always get 5 stars.

I pray you never break down and have to use Dan’s Diesels! The time it took to repair my truck was TERRIBLE (44 DAYS), their quote means nothing, it took 8 days to take the motor apart and provide me a quote of $38,500 for an overhaul. After I put $10K down, the very next day I was told I needed new camshafts which would be an additional $5500 even though they already spent 8 days taking the motor apart. Two weeks later I was told I need a new turbo & actuator adding another $7300, day 40 was told I needed a new air compressor. When it was time to pick up my truck I was told the total was $64k but Kaite was able to negotiate it down to $57k with the owner. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, I was consistently lied to about the completion date, had I known it was going to take that long I would have not lived in a hotel for 44 days, but instead went home. I felt stuck, most days the temperature was below 0 degrees and it is a small town with no Uber/Lyft to pop up at the shop daily. The mechanics at the shop do not know how to do an overhaul so my motor was shipped to their Willmar location without my consent extending the completion date. If I knew they were going to charge me more than quoted, I would have never put down the $10k and would have bought a new motor. I called their main shop in Sunburg to speak to the owner Dan, was told he would call me back and I never received a call from him. I was provided with Dan’s email so I sent an email with a 2 page attachment that outlined the timeline of events and my experience with his Alexandria location, Dan never called me or returned my email.

These people. What a trip back in time when good service was the norm, not the exception. Chief lady boss is phone busy like no relief, yet with each individual you receive courteous and complete service. Mechanics were thorough and quick. Got me in and out in one day, while prognosis was 2 day minimum, and did end to end work. No short cuts, no skipping. And they shuttled me to a hotel, and back the next day. Out of their way service and happy about it. ?. Thanks to them.
