Prices are higher, but they have a wide selection of products and brands. Their sales are usually pretty good, especially on their store brand items. You sometimes have to watch out for their non-refridgerated produce, like apples. Bad ones aren't always caught by the staff and -- "squish" -- rotten apple all over your fingers. It's rare, though.

I drove an hour from my home in rural Minnesota to this store based on recommendations from local people to take advantage of their “mega meat sale”. I will never return. It wasn’t difficult shopping but checkout was so horrible. I was using EBT, like many many other families in Minnesota do. At any other store, the EBT amount is deducted and then I pay the remainder with my other payment method. Have never had an issue. But, it was an issue here. I had to step out of line and make a phone call to find out my EXACT EBT balance, and then when I told the cashier how to split the payment onto two methods ($120 on one and $60 on the other) he claimed he did not know how to do that. The people in line behind me were, reasonably, frustrated because I was holding up the line. The cashier said I would need wait for a supervisor, but with my son already being tired and people getting upset at me, I just wanted to leave. I paid without EBT for the entire purchase amount and left. I will not be returning. I should not feel shamed for using EBT or for splitting a payment. That is a basic cash register function that should not hold up an entire line of customers.

Went in for a few things, one being a small container of orange frosting from the bakery. After waiting for 10 minutes I went up front to ask for help in the bakery. Apparently there isn't a single person working right now that could scoop some icing out of a bucket and slap a sticker on it... guess my business will be handled elsewhere from now on. I used to work for a grocery store bakery and it was NEVER unattended during the day and if it was a manager would have helped the customer. Poor customer service and experience.

Really good deals! Friendly staff members. The only suggestion that I would say is to have more people watching the scan and go area! I have shopped here many times and have seen people (including myself) wait for help with the help button pushed for at least 5 minutes

The building is clean. I can find most things on my shopping list. The prices are generally fair but sometimes are overpriced. The only thing to note is that the customer service is ok. I've had multiple visits where it took forever to be greeted at the delicatessen counter or just less than friendly encounters at customer service.

Cub Foods is our "go to" grocery store for best pricing. The meat market is great, plus reasonably priced and there are always items on special sale pricing. Be sure to upload the Cub Foods app to your smart phone to catch all the special pricing throughout the store plus get gasoline discounts at Holiday station stores. The staff are super pleasant and helpful. Small town service with big city product selection.

Clean, well stocked grocery store. The fresh food departments are very good. Not enough cashiers when I visited at 10 am on a Tuesday. There were only two & both had lines of 4 or 5 customers waiting.

I'm sorry, buy I hated this place. It's more to do with me and habits than with the store. I found it to be very expensive. It was difficult to find items from my list, however if I knew the store, it would've been easier. I will go there again for one reason, and one reason only...TAFFY. the bulk taffy they carry is so flipping food and it's only $2.99 lb. Yay!

This place is HORRIBLE. Two isles open. I stood waiting for nearly over a half hour to check out. Shelves a VERY bare. I have tried this place 3 times in the last 2 months. NEVER again. VERY long lines. My ay off consisted of standing FOREVER in line. Not cool.Can't this store afford to hire more employees? Tight now, I think it should close its doors and relieve customers of great frustration.NO 5 stars! NO STARS. TRUST ME!

If you're wanting to get a cake done with a character, you can't because of copyright. So that being a thing made getting a cake for my birthday extremely disappointing. I probably won't ever get a cake from here again. And they have good cake.

Not a friendly place. Person in meat department just stared angrily and didnt say anything when i gave him my order. Maybe just caught employees on a bad day. Plus, you have to bag and carry out your own groceries. Really makes me miss and love my Hy Vee in Windom

Was in the store on July 3rd before holiday. Purchased Califia xx espresso cold brew coffee and didn't check the date. The next morning as I poured into a glass-- it looked strange. Looked at the date and it expired 2/25/17. I had to look twice to confirm it expired in February 2017 and it was still on the shelves in July.

I'm so thankful for Cub Foods here in Alexandria MN ~ they have the nicest employees ~ the most helpful employees for me ~ for almost 8 months I was the slowest shopper there due to several back issues and needing a cane ~ they always respected my bag weight limits ~ they always helped me to my car and unloaded the groceries into my trunk ~ I don't think they will ever know how thankful and grateful I am to each and everyone at Cub Foods

After having stopped at Aldi's prior to stopping here, it seems like the prices are higher than they need to be. Store was clean and all of the staff were helpful and friendly, especially the manager on his first night

This is a nice grocery store with lots of merchandise! The staff in the meat department is very nice and helpful! The lady that works there from California is very nice too! Not all the staff is as helpful!

Everytime I am in this store I end up going to customer service to get refunded because something rings in at the wrong price. Everytime I say never again. I know why I shop Eldens!!! I feel bad for the customer service ladies to have to deal with this.

This grocery store in alexandria mn is just ok. They have to compete against eldens, walmart, and a smaller target. The layout is horizontal, I'm used to the vertical design which i thinks is a better layout. They have a very small organic section, and the bakery isn't much better. The workers are very friendly which is the only good thing they got going. They have very poor lighting for the parking lot.

Its an easy choice to make..., were talking Cub Foods Groceries here , they've got everything you may need for any cooking occasion ! Its easy to find and easy to get to from anywhere in the area.., very accessible and prices that are reasonable as well !
