We take all 3 of our dogs here. From the front desk to techs, to Dr. care, we are always served so well. We also board our dogs at the 4 paws boarding facility on the same grounds.

Took my 8 month old pup to this vet. He was vomiting and not eating. They said they would try fluids and food. 15min they called me stating neither worked that they wanted to do X-rays so I agreed. Know blockage found. They sent him home with meds etc once he spent 8 hr there he came home once home he started puking blood called vet right away and she said take him in to er vet or come in tomorrow for testing my dog died later that night. I’m very upset with them lying stating they did things such as fluids and didn’t I requested all noted an X-rays they also charged me for extra items that they stated were to come home and never was sent home came home I will never go back to this clinic and will not recommend it to anyone for their lack of care and service

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Mark and the staff at Alex Vet Clinic. We've brought our dog there for years and have always received excellent care. As our pup's health declined, they were so kind and laid out all of our options, without making us feel pressured. Dr. Mark would give us a call to see how his meds were working. When we finally made the hard decision to say good-bye, they we very compassionate and allowed us plenty of time with him. After we picked up his ashes, they gave us a handwritten note with their condolences. The doctors and staff at Alex Vet Clinic truly care for their patients and their owners.

They do good work and are trustworthy, but it cost me $700 for shots and an exam for two dogs!!! Way overpriced in my opinion.

We needed emergency vet care for our 10 year old lab Harley. Things escalated quickly with Harleys health and he was declining quickly. Alex vet got us in right away. We had to say goodbye to our Harley. A big thank you to Dr Mark and vet tech Taylor, and the front desk receptionist. They all went above and beyond to help us get through this very difficult time. I can't stress enough about the vet here....she is awesome the only place who would help me covid had hit and my cat need a 2nd surgy...She was so kind easy to talk to..she explains things so you can understand. She is a petite woman with a gentle touch and a calm demeanor and it extremely reflexes in her practice that she's in this for the animals...love her love her love her...lol

I can’t say enough good things about the Alexandria Veterinary Clinic and their amazing vets and staff. They’re accommodating about seeing pets last minute, professional and courteous, but also very friendly and easy to talk to. They always take the time to explain things and answer questions. Recently we had to put one of our cats to sleep - Dr. Smith and Meagan were absolutely amazing, both very supportive and reassuring during a difficult time. They gave us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes, which was very much appreciated.

We were suspicious that our dog got into rat poison on the farm and we called in frantically to see what they thought we should do. They had us look at a couple things on her and then recommended that we bring her in. They were so kind to stay open late so that we could come in and make sure she was going to be ok. They did a couple tests and told us our options. We were so thankful for their help and that they were willing to stay and make sure that our girl had the best shot to make it through when we were so worried. She is now back to herself and doing great!

I was struggling to figure out what was wrong with my cat. He has had a horrible eye infection on and off for three years. They took me on as a new patient and got me in the same day with open arms. Thank you!!The visit was so thorough and explained to me what was going on. They took the time and helped me make sense of what was going on.I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new vet! I can’t thank them enough for helping me!!

My golden retriever puppy and I love trips to the vet thanks to these folks! We see Dr. Christenson and he's so warm and friendly- always recommending "what he would do" and helping explain matters.I did however see Dr. Smith once and was not greeted with eye contact , a hand shake, friendliness, or the like. We were not back to see her!Overall, this place is great.

I'm sure that the veterinarian office is very good, knowledgeable and are kind people.My complaint has to do with the grooming dept.I had called to make an appointment to do a self serve bath from my dog. The woman on the phone was just rude and not helpful at all. It's almost as if she didn't want me to come in and bathe my dog. I made an appointment for 4 o'clock. I told her if I could get in earlier I would call her and let her know but if not I would be there at 4 o'clock I came in the next day with my dog and daughter. They looked at us like what are you doing here. I said I made a appointment for 4pm. They said no you didn't we dont have you down and your daughter can't help you. I said that is fine and the continued to say I don't have you down for an appointment. I don't think they wanted me there because they were closing at 5 o'clock. Then a lady said you told I don't remember the name of the woman that you would call if you wanted an appointment. I said no what I said is I will take the 4 o'clock and I would call her if I could come in earlier so I won't make a mess for them to clean so close to closing. I'm a pet groomer so I understand not wanting a mess at the end of the day. They continued to act like I was a idiot and I shouldn't be there so I just said for get it. Just forget it. Grabbed my dog and left. I was just baffled at the whole thing they obviously weren't down for me bathing my dog. So today I bathed my dog in the back yard. Thank god my husband brought up my Canine force dryer. Thanks for nothing. I will never be back. You need to work on customer service with the employees you have. It was horrible. That is coming from a 30 year pet groomer that owned a business. They obviously didn't want my business. They made that very clear.

We were up visiting my parents for Easter weekend from the cities, and my dog had some issues that I wanted to get checked out before the Sunday holiday. The Vet agreed to see my dog with no appointment, the vet techs were great with him and the service was fast and friendly! Thanks! S. Moland

I brought my Shi-Tzu Maltese here since day one. The staff was all very kind and obviously loved their jobs. They gave my dog treats while they examined her so she didn't get nervous. As a result my dog loves coming here even though she's getting shots almost every time. I got her spayed here and it was a clean good job, they called me right after the surgery was done and let me know she was okay, and called a few days later to double check she was good. I moved recently, but I would have kept my dog here her whole life if I could.

They are very caring about each person's pet that comes in. They helped my mom carry our toyger in when I wasn't able to be there to help. They were very concerned when he quit eating & drinking & made sure he got the care and fluids he needed. The Dr. even requested I keep in touch with him personally for updates on his condition. Thanks to all their caring and attention our pet is now back to his old self acting like a cub chasing everything, requesting his treats & eating like a pig.

We brought our cat in they were great they asked if they could do lab work before hand and they would call if X-rays were needed. Our cat felt comfortable being there. We will definitely bring our animals back there.
