I frequently stop at dollar general, they have a wide variety of merchandise. However very few things are actually a dollar! The prices are ok, but more like a Kmart from back in the day. But it's always clean, and tidy..the employees are cheerful and knowledgeable, although sometimes the checkout line is incrediblky long

Things are changing, under new management, she's a very kind young lady... Give her time to clean up what the old manager screwed up... Shelves are now stocked, product is coming in and not out of date or expired... New manager is on top of things... Find out for yourselves. I like the new change... Keep up the good work Mary & Addy...

The new manager is great and very helpful. In the other hand the clerks are soooo nasty to customers. Tonight I witnessed one yelling at a customer and then they yelled at my mother also. They’re very unprofessional and rude kicking customers out 30 min before closing.

Came back to give one star after tonight's visit. I always have a long wait time. Some cashier's are not friendly. A few weeks ago I went on my lunch break thinking it would be a safe time. There were 8 of us in line, I was holding 4 two liters of pop and there were only two people working and they said they were both training. They had both computers down. I couldn't keep waiting and had to leave. Tonight it was another wait, but then it's my turn with two two liters. I am offered no bag so I ask. She tells me "okay but if the bags break in the parking lot it's not our fault" and proceeds to drop one on the floor. She said "oops or I drop it, I'll get you a new one". Then she must have changed her mind and put the shook up, dropped on the floor pop in another bag and puts my receipt in there. I said I'm going to get a new one if you don't mind. She says it's just shook up but I guess! I wanted to let her know that was rude but I was a little flabbergasted at what had just happened. I hope they try to improve things at the Albert Lea location because it's a joke.

Watch out Check the dates, on some of stock is not rotated. Always takes extra long to check out. If you use a card to check out even longer to check out ... Some cashiers have a attitude, the good ones never stick around for long. Not planning to shop again at the Albert Lea store.

Anna the manager is a great person! She is always happy even if she is having a bad day. I love going to dollar general to shop everyone m1ked me feel jut like family!

We have many of these in our town. Only bad think is some are hard to get in and out of. So I go to Main General Market most. But the prices are good. And when on a budget you can always make it work. They have a little ok everything. And nice freeze food selection.

The store is HORRIBLY cluttered, dirty and unorganized. I used the APP at the checkout and explained to the clerk that I wasn't familiar with their system as this was my first time using it. She was rude, unkind and talked down to me. There are other stores in the area that will be receiving my business. This store doesn't deserve my business.

Friendly staff, and the store is neatly organized unlike another one that I have been to. That place was so unorganized you had to walk through another aisle to get to the other side because merchandise would be scattered across the aisles.

Mary is so Top! Would like to see more like her. Store clean,everyone could not be nicer. There was an elderly rude woman trief argument but Mary was very kind.....I would have blown my top.

A very well ran business store with a great variety of items at great variety of good prices; store employees are always very helpful to my personal requests in the store if I need to ask a staff member (s) at the Albert Lea Dollar General Store... They are surely willing to help me out with anything in their store!!!

I stopped in with just $7 and picked up a couple cans of spaghetti some coffemate and some Famous Amos cookies for just $4. This was my first time here, but I will definitely be back.

Convenient location for me to stop and grab a few things. Only complaint is the Line is ALWAYS long with employees working and not opening a second register until people are lined up down the isle.

Penny items are always taken off the shelf. Item on sale are to. I don't like how the manager removes these items not good. That's the reason I go it's penny sale.

it's not too much that dislikes the Dollar general it's the fact that it seems like they're always under staff so their stress which causes me stress the stuff in the aisles that they haven't put away yet still causes me even more stressed and then you know with cold bed it's just like a triple triple threat on the stress and so that's why I gave the two stars hopefully they can get some more people that are qualified to work there and stay longer than two days

This is about the nastiest store I have ever been in the floors were black like it hasn't been cleaned there was items on the floor carts in the way you could go down the employee was really rude i would need go there again really gross

Employees are rude they started yelling we close in 10 min then again when it was 5 min rushed us out of the store screaming as loud as they can through out the store VERY unprofessional
