The Retreat at Afton Farms is more than a retreat- it’s a once in a lifetime experience. Initially, I was hesitant to book this place because of two reasons: (1) The cost was more than twice the amount of money our family usually spends on our yearly weekend getaway; and (2) there were no reviews and our family is relatively new to any kind of home rental (Vrbo/ Airbnb/ etc.) We stayed in the main pool house.I am SO HAPPY we took a leap of faith and opened our wallet for this one, to celebrate my mom’s 75th. It’s true that it is expensive, but it is absolutely, 100% worth every dime. When I say that it’s more than a retreat- it’s a lifetime experience, it’s the truth. This place is different than any other place we have stayed. Our family has been fortunate to stay in 5 star luxury resorts, and I have never seen a place like this. I’m not personally interested in interior design, so I often don’t notice things of that nature. This place is SO uniquely designed that simply being inside any room here IS a new experience! The pool and hot tub were a DREAM. The fact that the home is located on so much land made the entire experience feel specialand private. I loved that we never interacted with anyone other than the people we came with!Hollie is a phenomenal host, and her communication was prompt, helpful, and professional. She truly went out of her way to make sure this experience exceeded our expectations. I sincerely hope to stay at this dreamy home again- absolutely incredible experience!
