Overall, this Petco is like a general store for pets. You can get all the basics you might need. Nice people too. Just don't be in a rush. It takes a long time to checkout.Pro tip: bring your own bag. They charge 10¢ for each of theirs. They look like normal plastic shopping bags but they are thicker.There's awesome clearance! Check every corner. It's spread out thru the entire place. I got a bunch of dog clothes for $3-4 each. (regular $20)***Don't get the membership upgrade unless you buy lots of food. There's a 10% nutrition discount. The contract cannot be canceled for 12 months. I know it's my fault for not asking, but it would have been nice for the person signing me up to tell me. If I had known I would have never signed up.I always check Petco first for anything. There's often coupons or deals on different things. For example, until 12/23 there's a $10 on Wellness dog supplements (now $9.99) when you buy their (very expensive) dog food.However, if you want a collar/harness/leash go to petsmart. They have 3x as many. If you want specialty food and treats go to petsmart.The store can be really quiet. Don't expect an employee at the register all the time. The employees are very friendly and helpful. We’ve taken our dog here for years for grooming. It’s gone way down hill. The last 3 times we’ve gone they’ve done a bad job. Once the didn’t grind her nails, another time they missed a lot of areas in the hair cut, another time she still had some matts in her ears. We took her back each time and they fixed it no problem. This time they missed spots everywhere, her groin area and arm pits looked skipped completely and a few patches on her legs. The top of her head looks crooked. I’m sick of having to take her back. Maybe one last time before we find a new groomer.

This is for the grooming salon:I went in with my golden retriever for a simple bath, cut and deshedding treatment. I told them to just trim up her fur and clean it up. Came back to a SHAVED dog! Then he tells me that he had to add an extra cost to the treatment because her hair was long and it took long to brush out. She is a golden retriever, their hair is supposed to be long. Now she is a shaved, cold 12 year old golden retriever in Michigan weather. Never going back. Please don’t take your dogs here.

This is not the place to go if you have any animal besides a dog or cat. They are constantly out of reptile supplies, and the way they keep their reptiles and invertebrates is unacceptable and cruel. Also, expect to wait 10+ minutes for anything. I have waited long amounts of time for someone to help me get crickets, then the checkout line is an even longer wait even if you’re the only person there. I hope the nearby Petco is better because I absolutely dread having to come to this Petsmart

This petsmart takes really, really good care of making sure the animals have a clean environment. Their dog trainers are extremely helpful, and I can always find food for my reptiles.

Bella came here for the first time to get a birthday cut! Alex did amazing with her !!! She looked so adorable and the cut was exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be bringing her back to him for all her grooming needs. Thank you Alex!

Rude staff and dirty salon. Only had one dog being groomed and staff standing around doing nothing. Salon was dirty and full of hair. When attempting to check in Austin was very rude and gate was broken to get in.

Nice store with helpful employees. Great selection of dog foods. They are one of the few stores that carry the brand our breeder recommended. We also used the puppy kindergarten with Kevin and were very happy with the results.

Nice store for all types of pets. They’ve fish, cats, reptiles, provide grooming services and much more. I like their collection of aquatic plants. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They have good quality stuffs. Overall a good place for all those pet lovers out there.

Helpful staff, well organized and well stocked shelves. Groomers are wonderful, be sure to make an appointment. Also, if it is your first grooming visit be sure to have your rabies shot record from your vet.

I got my guinea pig, Jasmine here a year ago. She probably the most healthy guinea pig I ever got from a store. However, the lady that sold her to me was rather shady, it seemed like she was trying to get us into buying another cage (which wasn't necessary, and I couldn't afford anyway). Me and Jasmine are beat buddies and will forever be great ful for this place!

I really love the location and atmosphere. The only thing lacking was the quality and communication around grooming. I feel like after I picked up my dog that his grooming was not that great. They had him for a long time. Must have been really busy that day.

I come here for nail trims and obedience class for my 4 yo boxer mix. Kai is an awesome instructor that delivered results while keeping class fun. Definitely recommend!

The grooming was fine overall. That is why I'm giving them 3 stars. The problem I found was the fact that it seemed like certain customers were able to get their dogs first and then pay at the counter. For others, the groomers wouldn't bring out the dogs until they paid. I wouldn't have a problem as long as it's the same for everyone. Unfortunately, I noticed that the customers who looked like me were the ones who they didn't trust. I hope that I'm wrong in this assessment, but I strongly suspect that I'm not.

Grooming - not experienced with Samoyeds.Last week I called the place to ask if they are experienced with Samoyeds and explained that not all groomers are familiar with the breed and I was told that they were.So today I took my dog for a bath for the first time at this place (once I couldn’t do it myself for personal reasons).When I got home I notice couple spots that were not dry… checked him and found a lot of humid spots (perfect for fungal infection). Not just that, he wasn’t brushed. At least not how double coated dogs should be… the humid undercoat was tangled so I used the dryer to help drying it off to brush him myself.It took me 2 hours and a half to brush my dog properly because they also didn’t use conditioner making the job not just harder for me but for the dog.I understand that Samoyeds need more time/care and I was never told that it would take longer or it would be more expensive… I didn’t even ask how much it would cost.Below are the pictures of before and after I brushed and how much hair came off. Just unbelievable.And cause there’s no conditioner, probably it’s going to be very hard to brush him again next time soon so I will end up having to give him another bath within a week or so.Sorry to be the Karen today and I’m pretty sure the staff are hard work people but Petsmart has to prepare the workers better. Not all dogs you just throw some water and shampoo and it’s done.

My oldest and I enjoy looking. Everything is stocked and clean. I've always had an associate around to answer questions. The prices are reasonable as well. I'm glad they offer a cat adoption as well. We will be back

I mostly come here just to get my dog's nails trimmed, and the groomers have always been friendly and helpful. My last dog didn't mind the trim, but my current dog gets a little fussy; at the last drop-in, several helped to comfort and distract my dog with pets and hugs while one groomer took care of his nails, and my dog couldn't have had a better experience.

Been shopping here for the last 8 years, and won’t be returning after seeing that the prices are being rung up incorrectly constantly. The total amount always changes for the same products I always buy, it’s never consistent. Tired of getting attitude from cashiers when you try to correct prices or remove an item. They have been rude, don’t check points for you, and won’t even say thank you for shopping with us or goodbye. Literally just had to grab my items, stare at the cashier for a response, when they just started back, I walked away ( boy with blue and black hair). Hire staff that actually like their job!

Was denied service (I was trying to buy a carrier for bird) because I had a hand trained bird who can’t fly on my hand… I was told I either need to leave the store or remove him because it was “against policy” to have him in the store without a cage because he would “fly around the store” or carrier which I was trying to buy for 70$ by the way. I will absolutely never shop here again horrible service :(
