I've been going to this Vinckier's location for several years now. And although the prices are definitely higher than your Meijer or Walmart stores, it's also more convenient than having to drive twenty minutes one way to get to a Walmart or Meijer if you only need a few items. However, recently I have noticed that their prices have gone through the roof. At first I thought maybe inflation was hitting eggs, butter, and even pasta again, but after stopping by the Vinckier's in Wadhams and both Walmart and Meijer I realized it is only this location that is charging these outrageous prices. I'm not sure what is going on with them, but to try and take advantage of their customers knowing how hard it is these days to make ends meet is simply unacceptable to me. It's one thing if they are following a price hike that all stores are experiencing, but this is not the case. For this reason I will do my best to shop elsewhere until they can get their prices under control again.

I recently moved into the area. The prices here are WAY over average. The produce and overall selection is a joke. It's worth the drive to go elsewhere (Kroger, Meijer).

Sometimes the sales are really good and the deli items are delicious, but the regular prices are way too high. As other reviews have stated, some of the employees can have a tendency to be rude, but that's not true for all of them. The produce and meats are always fresh and delicious, though, so this store is a mainstay for me because of that.

Wow! One of the nicest independent grocers in the area. Pitty I don't live closer. Browns Markets should take a look and learn something. Better produce than I've seen in quite awhile including Kroger! Well done! Clean Store. Well Organized! Well stocked! Great looking meats. I don't 5 star lightly. Certainly exceeded expectations!

Overpriced on most items unless what you want is on sale as this place is best for when you need something quickly and don't want to drive 30 minutes away. The sale prices can be really good and the hot food here is great so not everything is bad here. However At checkout the cashier berated my disabled relative when they were in checkout because they couldn't remember the pin on the card and they came home feeling like an idiot. I would hope this place was more understanding when things happen and not rude, even if they were having a bad day you don't take it out on others.

Love having a local little store to visit! I don't do my main shopping here, as it's a bit pricey for everyday items. However, it's such a blessing to have a place to go if I forgot an ingredient or am looking for something I forgot to plan ahead for. Great deli/fresh food area as well. Do yourself a favor and try both their baked and fried chicken. Delicious!

Good selection. Good customer service. Meat department is great! Produce and Deli are alright too. Small city grocery stores don't purchase in mass quantities like Meijer, Kroger or Wal-Mart, so their prices will be higher than if you drove 30 miles further. But, it's a great store in general.

New to town and was there Christmas Eve. They were so friendly and helpful knowing I wasn’t from here and new to the store. Got everything needed and an associate even checked on me making sure I nailed my list. Pies from bakery were very good along with there pasta salad. Sure I’ll be here alot.

Prices are high most of the people are mean and if u dont watch the dates on the stuff you buy you'll bring home some expired goods the produce is ok but u got to look at what your buying The meats are good but again u got to look at what your buying And the deli I would not eat there EVER! I gave this place a 1 star mainly bc the workers there are rude and the prices are too high and I've walked out of there with rotten bell peppers and gotten sick from a pot pie made at the deli.

Staff was nice everything was well stocked however signage to find the parking lot and the entrance both need to be bigger and noticable from a car. And inside was poorly lit making it hard to see things in some aisles

Great as always. Was all over north end looking for beef soup bones. I can always find with I'm looking for at Vinckier. It was freshly cut. Very helpful staff and friendly. Store super clean. Fresh fruit & vegetables. The wolrd best fry chicken !!

I just left the store not too happy with the experience once I got to the cash register. The young brunette who was checking us out had such a bad attitude, after huffing and puffing, I did not understand what she said, she then yelled "you HAVE to if you want to use your FOOD STAMPS!!" That was COMPLETELY unnecessary and you do not put people's business out there like that. We did inform the manager and a family member we know who works there and they informed us that they would address the situation and I am sure they will. Have never had a bad experience here until today.

I like going there for their meat. Always fresh choices and some pretty good deals. Also all the employees always are nice and helpful. My only complaint really is that if its not on sale its pretty expensive.

Very expensive cheap food. Not much of a selection of anything. Dirty and dim. Very small produce section. Very small selection of coffee. A lot of low quality food.The muffins have been very good, But they are not consistently good. Their meat section looks Nice and has been good quality.

Doesn't really have low prices really but if you're in the middle of nowhere plus if you're in the country and you by like a full cow or half a pig you'll be going here for like the small things.... If you're a City person you're saying whaaaat those were my words exactly. then I guess that's the best bet... Because down the road is not really down the road... But anyway some of their stuff is at a reasonable price but not all.. but the employees are very friendly...

Store needs updating and a good cleaning. Lots of outdated items on the dirty shelves. Way over priced. Not very friendly employees. Looks and feels like no one cares about their business. Won't be back.

This is the cleanest grocery store I've ever been in. I always get a parking spot right by the door. They have everything I need at reasonable prices. The deli is awesome and the staff is so nice and helpful. Forget the big corporate stores!

Loads of staple items. Easily shop for all basic needs. Cheerful staff. Always ask which bags to pack first. I bring my own bags and some are insulated. I always appreciate the staff helpfulness.

It's a small grocery store but it's in a small town. It is convenient to grab a few things but if you're looking to do major shopping you might want to get in your car and drive the 20 miles to a big box stores it pays off in the long run.

Small town store. Some prices are far more than the big chain stores but that's something you expect when shopping a small store. Meat sales are great when they have them. Most of the employees are friendly.

The store's always clean, the produce decent... Everything you need in a small(er) town grocery store. Of course, being a small(er) town grocery store, the prices are going to be a little higher. You pay for convenience. Comparing the mark-up for convenience here vs. the gas money spent to go to Port Huron to get cheaper groceries, if I need a couple things to hold me over before going on a full-fledged shopping run, it's usually cheaper to go here.That being said, being a small(er) town grocery store with prices that are right on the edge of making economic sense, they tend to have more foods get to their expiration date. If you shop for those and you have kids in the house that'll eat them very quickly, it ends up working out because they mark them down pretty well.So all in all, it's a good store, but it is not my primary shopping store.Now if they would only get their Google pay working... :)
