Very clean and well maintained store. Staff is very friendly and helpful (Katrina and Susan are great!). If you need to decompress from life stress, highly recommend visiting the various animal friends they have (maybe even adopting them).

love this place. love the guys and gals working there. pet owners this place is the best pet friendly place i frequently take my pal. sometimes i break the rule and let MJ shop by herself. She likes to sniff out Robin (store guard cat.) typically find her keeping the beds warm ensuring quality products is what your sure to find at Chow Hound Pet Supplies. But a little rule breaking is no never mind as MJ shopped about for her 4th birthday today. And she obeyed and enjoyed her freedom greeting a few customers and letting them be. A few smiles later she had to decide. So many choices she was overwhelmed she was. so with glee we both happily agreed upon a practical toy, good for teeth and fun and hold me favorite treats, rawhideburgers. yummy thank you for accepting responsible pet owners and giving them a proper place to get relax with the furry buddies as they need supplies as well.

The prices are a bit high for the ferrets in my opinion, but other than that the staff members are extremely friendly! And the animals are friendly to, I recommend going here. For the ferrets price I think they should be 150$ I am planning on buying them soon:)

Great place to go for all of my pet supply needs. Even though they have "hound" in the name, I shop here for cat supplies and they do have other pets covered too. The dog washes are great! The staff is friendly and I have never had an issue shopping here or finding what I need.

Just bought a dog trimmer. Salesperson said TWICE ‘if it doesn’t work, return it’.Doesn’t instill confidence.Get home, trimmer has been used, is full of hair and broken.Their response ‘apologies, but you have to make the 5 hour round trip to return’.Box was NOT marked that it was a returned item, nor discounted.

I walked out without anything because the food i was looking for wasn't in the shelf. The 2 girls standing at the register didn't even acknowledge me until i said, "thank you have a great night" i MAY have been able to make my purchase of they had asked what i was looking for & had some in the back. From a devious standpoint, if i had been a shoplifter..... i wouldn't have been looking to BUY anything...Another reason for the low rating is due to Many items on the pegs weren't priced.

Chowhound is my pet store of choice. All their locations always have helpful staff and I appreciate all the things they offer: dog wash, walk in clinics, and quality products. It's always a fun day when I can take my 2 dogs to browse around the store and find some fun stuff for them!

Quick place and nice hours to support my furry friend. Prices are okay and staff is there. Not overly fun/friendly. I had a 10 week old cute puppy.. not more than 10 words from the cashier lol.

Friendly staff.Always clean and organized.This location keeps dog wash stocked and equipment not torn up like at my last two visits to the Eastern location. Also, the water temp and flow doesnt fluctuate at this location.I'll travel out to this location, though it's not as close as Eastern.My boy is always happy here!

We were having difficulty locating a particular cat food. It always seemed to be out of stock. We mentioned this to an employee at the Byron Center location. A day later, we were picking up plenty of kitty's fav food and now have a standing order at a Chow Hound close to us. Thank you for listening, caring for your customers, expeditiously solving a kitty crisis and making future food pickup possible.

Love it! Super clean! Tons of choices in pet food for food sensitive dogs. They also have toys & treats and dog wash stations. I don't know all of the animals they cater to but I know you can get supplies for cats, birds, Guinea pigs, hamsters & other small things. Cages, beds, leashes, water bottles, supplements are there too. Not too sure about fish supplies but I don't have fish and have never specifically looked. I love the staff at Chow Hound. They are pet owners and lovers too and are very knowledgeable. Oh! And, if your cute fussy little stinker Guinea pigs won't use the water bottle you bought them (not that it ever happens) or it leaks or something, you can return/ exchange it. Seriously- just because your piggy is picky! :)

Fair prices and they're typically in stock with most brand pet foods. Just be sure to set aside 5 minutes that youll ultimately spend petting the adoption kitties!

There is a cat who hangs out in the store and it's really friendly. They carry higher end pet foods and the cat tree I bought there is very high quality with little to know sway to it. Can't recommend them enough!

I received a $5 coupon at the dog park in Allendale in the summer. I went to redeem it today at this store and it was not accepted. It did not have an expiration date on it. The staff were talking and accused me of printing the coupon myself. I was embarrassed and will not be purchasing anything from this store again. I am a Chow Hound Rewards member and this is the first poor experience for me.

I recently reviewed a different location of Chow Hound. My opinion about this particular store is exceptonal! Chow Hound is proving to be my top pet supply stores!Whether it is a young employee (I swear they send them to school until they can answer just about any question Lol) or all the way up the ladder to the manager, these people know their products!!! I am very impressed by their kindness, sensitivity, and most of all their KNOWLEDGE! I could ask about different brands of foods, help me weed through what are marketing schemes, pick the toys that truly become my dog's favorites, what "all natural" treats they offer, etc. BTW... The natural antlers are a HUGE hit with my dog who still likes to chew on everything! They are somewhat expensive at $35 a piece!!!! But the time my dog spends chewing on that antler makes it worth the money to me. The antlers last quite awhile. Just make sure when your pup gets down to sharp little pieces, you pick them up and throw them away (if you don't, you could end up with a bowel obstruction). But I think adult supervision is a basic rule that applies to ALL toys. I hope that this commentary helps you and your furry friend! Thank you Chow Hound employees, you are wonderful!!!

Love this new chow hound! The baths are great and never have issues with not having warm water. They have a good selection of items in store and the staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable
