Several years ago I gave this place a four star review. Now it is a one star.Been taking my pets there for yearsI'm not sure what happened. Maybe new staff, new owners, or one of the doctors leaving but the services are not at all what they used to be.I now take my pets to a different veterinarian.

Started taking my kitty here and they are super friendly and handled him so nicely. I found my new vet and recommend this place to anyone looking for new vet. Cost was pretty good and the staff and vet was very knowledgeable. Thank you for taking such good care of my buddy. Update: Puck has grown into such a playful and loving kitty! Included a new picture from 2021

Had to put my cat to sleep and the staff was amazing. Made my children and I feel very comfortable and could tell they cared. Highly recommend.

DONT COME HERE. they are money hungry&dont care about your animal. my dog is 8 lbs, since April he has had an ear infection, and since April i have spent over $1200 on an EAR INFECTION for a 8 lb dog. this is not normal. the last time i went, the doctor told me the ear infection was finally gone. i’ve been cleaning my dogs ears since then, so tell me, why is my dog still itching his ears and shaking his head STILL?? the staff does not care a single bit. everybody is struggling in this economy, and this office is just draining whatever i had left. it’s honestly evil and disgraceful, my dog is suffering because these people just want an extra few hundred dollars. i will be telling everyone in my downriver community to avoid this Vet at all costs. seriously disgusting and greedy. my poor dog. AND YOU WONT FIND THIS NAME IN UR SYSTEM :)

They got us in fairly quickly and dr Poindexter is amazing. You can tell he really loves animals. They weren't judgy, like other vets can be because we hadn't been in for a while.

Had appointment for this morning for grooming. Go to check in the girl behind desk says pet is do fo yearly shots in feburary are you interested in getting it done today? I say no will schedule it when I bring him back for grooming in feburary. She says ok, today will be $106 dollars? She says we require a fecal speciam for grooming? I said we'll guess we're outta here! All they want is money!! Been going there for 20 plus years not anymore. So buyer be ware!

My dog hurt himself and calling Wyandotte Animal Hospital they got me in as soon as possible. Once there the communication between the office personnel and the doctor was excellent. The doctor even called me later in the day to clarify some questions I had. I've been going to this office for quite a few years and I have never had a bad experience.

Don’t go here. They care more about money than they do your pet. They will give your animal the lowest dose of a medicine just to keep them coming back. It’s been a nightmare for 3 straight months. They kept giving my dog the same medicine until I said something then lo and behold there is a different medicine they could have tried. I’m out a lot of money and have none left to even continue to try to cure my dog because they have strung this on so long. I asked them to treat both my dogs when one was positive yet they didn’t and now both my dogs are sick! NIGHTMARE! I am at my whits end and now have no money to get my puppy fixed. I didn’t expect to shell out close to 2,000 within 3 months for something that could have been taken seriously and both dogs treated from the beginning. They drag it out so you have to pay pay pay. And they wonder why there are so many homeless pets, and pregnant dogs. People cant afford to fix them after the first year of even having them. Sick! Plus the facility is filthy. Dog pee on the scale, dog fur all over the patient tables. I know it’s a vet with animals but they can clean up after each patient. I am appalled at myself for using them for 5 straight years.

I can not express my gratitude enough to the entire staff, I had to say goodbye to my best boy ever, the Dr called and checked on him and when he called today he made sure I could bring him in quickly but most of all the compassion everyone there showed us and especially my boy was the best feeling, thank you all so much, Cindy and Lando

I took my cat, Walter, here to follow up on a UTI he had a couple weeks prior. The staff was quick and efficient. He was really scared, but he seemed to like the vet and vet tech although he usually doesn’t like strangers much. They performed a urine sample quickly and he seemed to take kindly to all of the staff. This will now be our regular vet office! 🙂

The staff here and the doctors are careless my daughter latisha you stood work in this place she is a vet tech got fired from this animal hospital for the reason her medication prescribed from a doctor she has a condition autoimmune disease cardiovascular .some of her medication make her drowsy . I feel some type a way they’re inhumane not professional at all saying the my daughter is on drugs. My daughter deserves apology, and her feelings got hurt because of the medical conditions and her mental status.

Wonderful vet. They took great care of our two cats. Extremely COVID safe by coming out to the car to get carrier. It also makes UT easier on the cats (us too). The prices for care is in line or less than other clinics around. We also take our cats here every six weeks for their nails to be trimmedEveryone is extremely kind and take the time to explain what has been done and what should be done for animal's health.

I made an appointment here a month ago for my cat to be groomed today. It was to be a sedated groom. I called prior to my appointment during the week to make sure I had all the proper documentation needed for this grooming. I was quoted a price between $120 to $145. When I got there at 830am, she said they had to charge for extra blood work and that I was miss quoted on The Grooming price originally. The Grooming was around $200 actually and the extra blood work would be an extra $55! They said their receptionist is new and probably made a mistake. Meanwhile my cat is very badly matted and in need of a groomer. I could have found him a responsible groomer weeks ago! Would not recommend this place because they are not reliable! Waste of my time! Took morning off for nothing. And still have to find a groomer! After the way this was handled, I am relieved to know my cat will not be in their care actually. Just annoyed that I have to find somebody else that I can hopefully trust with my pet. Now its not about the price...its about the professionalism.

Do not try and go here if your dog has any serious problems. I called and spoke with Donna over my dog tearing his Jugular in his neck. He needed to be seen within 3 days per the ER vet he stayed with. Donna reassured me she would get my dog in within two days she just needed to speak with the vet first and would call me back immediately, I had even made the comment that if you call back after 2 please leave a message and she continued on to tell me oh I will be calling back long before 2. So thinking my dog was going to get an appointment per the conversation and the seriousness of my dogs issue. I never received a call back after 3 hours only to call and be told oh Donna said to pass a message along that you should take him somewhere else. Why in the world would someone tell a client with a very sick dog they would get them in and have them waiting over 3 hours. I could have called so many other places in that 3 hours. I tried to give this place a second chance after the way they treated my dog years ago and that was a big mistake. Do not take your pets to this unprofessional vet office especially if it is for any serious condition's. They will just tell you what you want to hear just to get you off of the phone.

I have mixed reviews about this location. Overall I am satisfied with the quality of care they provide my animal. I have a few concerns that has literally driven me crazy since the inception of starting services with the facility.Generally more often than not the office staff answering the phone is condescending and rude.I fell pressured to perform tests on my animal because they will withhold other treatments and medications unless you complete them.I find it ridiculous that we still are waiting in our vehicles to have our animals seen. We the customer have to spend our money to run our vehicle in the cold and hot months, yet the cost of services from the facility does not offset the price we pay to run our vehicle for an undisclosed period of time. However, they are certain to add on bio hazard fees to our bills. I can enter into any human care facility without waiting in my vehicle, I am not certain why we are still required to complete this practice at a veterinarian. On this topic of curbside service, in my opinion this is not helpful to the customer. This is helpful to the profit of the practice. I have called approx. 6 other location veterinarian facilities and they are all participating in this type of action passing unseen additional cost to every customer they service. The only one that has stopped this ridiculous practice is Gibraltar Veterinary Hospital. This location actually allows you to turn your vehicle off and enter the facility.To Wyandotte Animal Hospital, I am sure (based on your Google review history) you will cross reference my name to your records and find that my name is not within your database. I have done this by design. I believe in providing my proper opinion assessment of your facility without any retaliation of your staff. Your replies to other Google Reviewers clearly show that you are vindictive towards people who post there negative opinion of your facility.In short if you are okay with subpar treatment from office staff and pressure charges then please continue to support this facility. If you believe your worth is more than this treatment I encourage you to look elsewhere.
