To say the least I am so disappointed with the service of my dog today. They completely split his nail, and let his belly and his butt uncut, and left his ears dirty. $110(before tip) for them to only wash him, and hurt his nail. He’s been going to this place for a few years now and over the last year they have not cut him short like we’ve asked, leave his eats wet, and other issues like that. We also request for a special shampoo to be used on him and again that was not done either. They came up with an excuse saying he jumped off the platform weird and hurt his nail myself. He is crying, limping, and bleeding all over the place. This place has definitely went downhill over the years, completely unprofessional.

I have been here a couple times where I was able to just walk in and get my kitties nails cut. I like that you don’t have to make an appointment. You don’t wait long. Everyone is very friendly and nice today I took him again and asked to trim the back of his bottom, she cut his nails, trimmed his paws and brushed him out he looks beautiful fabulous job always very happy if anyone needs a great place to take their kitty this is it

I have a 17 year old cat that needed rear claws trimmed. They allowed me to hold her while clipping nails so I could help keep her calm. The groomer did a real nice job. And no need for an appt for nails only. I will be going back here for sure! I am so pleased with their service.

Extremely nice workers who clearly care for the work they do fornthe animals they see. Took us same day for an appointment for our cat, and was in and out no sweat at a very reasonable price. Absolutely recommended to anyone looking to groom their fur ball

They were totally awesome! Pandance "Pan Pan" looked amazing after they cut her off. She had alot of matting. Thank you so very much Ashley 🙏💝 Also thanks for her Christmas ornament.Update: I recently got another dog and Ashley treated him with kindness, he is shy and very timid. His name is Simba, he looks so dapper with his handkerchief. I love them for always taking care of my pets ❤️

I took my Pickles (cat) to get shaved because he has total chub mat . He had alot. They were fast, friendly and Pickles was happy too. It's very stressful for him so his happiness speaks volumes. They are wonderful!

Today was Sophie first visit with Downriver Grooming. She has been seeing the same groomer/vet for years however, she had to have emergency surgery to save her paw which resulted in her being a bit traumatized & uncomfortable when going back. We decide to give it a go and try to see how a new environment would be, I couldn't have been more happy when picking her up & seeing the difference in her. Not only does she look great, she is feeling great. Thank you Ashley & Staff we look forward to our next visits with you.

Since being groomed, my very matted and worst case of fear, anxiety aggressive behavior even at the vet's office. Medication didn't help at all. The owner at Down Riveragreed to try to groom my girl. She is the sweetest happiest dog ever. She gets along with my other dogs now!! It truly is a Miracle for us.

Ashley and her groomers are top notch! I have been taking my pup and grand pups here for many years! Dad let my pup Charlie passed away in December. My grand pups continue to be groomed here.This passed weekend I messaged Ashley (owner) about getting my one grand pup (Peanut) for her final groom!Ashley came in on her day off the groom Peanut, as she is the best with Peanut because she is known to nip at you. Ashley knows how to take care of a senior pup. Peanut looked amazing and she will live out her last few days looking beautiful! I’ve taken my dog Bebe here a few times. My parents usually take her to be bathed and a haircut because I am working.I just spoke with Derek today and I truly believe what happened was a miscommunication and I wish I explained myself a bit better. Last time I took my dog Bebe here, the lady did explain to me about her fur being so matted it could cause her to bleed and to bring her in 6/8 weeks so she can get used to the grooming. I did not make the appointment because hat was too soon. She is a very nervous / anxious dog, she is very hyper and won’t stay still which is why I wasn’t mad that you nipped her ear. It happens. I would really like for you guys to groom her, she is not matted now. If you guys can not, I understand. You guys are still awesome and thank you for the times you have groomed her. It just breaks my heart that you declined service

So thankful for DGC! My boy Henry was very skittish about getting his nails done after a terrible experience at another salon. The staff at DGC took their time with him and with each visit he gets better and better! Thankful for the wonderful caring staff who continue to work with him! My mother needed a rescue dog totally groomed, de-flea'd, bathed, trimmed, combed, rubbed, scrubbed, filed, deodorized, vacuumed, buffed and conditioned. And then perhaps a pretty feminine ribbon attached to the mop on her top. And The Downriver Grooming Company achieved a maximum score with their achievement! The groomers and everyone were fantastic. This dog needed lots of attention in a loving way and they delivered! Thank you!
