This evening, I came in for dinner and drinks. I had the perch and my girlfriend had the polish dinner. Both were very delicious. The drinks were great! We sat at the bar and Heather was our bartender. She was fantastic! I highly recommend giving this bar a try. I will add that I strongly recommend getting there before 5pm on Friday, because it was absolutely packed by then.

We recently discovered their Fish on Wednesday and Thursdays. Wow the fish is amazing and all you can eat if you choose. We get the perch and It’s fantastic, like a cornmeal batter cooked perfectly. They also have bluegill, grouper and cod. I think that there is walleye also. You also get fries or hush puppies, Cole slaw with it. Service is fast and friendly. We literally went two days in a row! It’s awesome. Starts at 4pm. We made the mistake of going too early.

What a great local, neighborhood grill and bar. It's tucked away from the beaten path; however, it's worth the visit.Staff were engaging and the draft beers are budget friendly. Great place for a meeting with you cohorts or friends.Be surprised by the menu options: lamb, grouper, blue gill. Keepin' it real in the Dotte.

Stopped here on St Patty's Day, the staff was top notch and attentive even with how busy they were. My 2 star is strictly due to how the fryers and sandwich station looked. Was gonna order food and decided against it when I could see the cross contamination happening in front of me and the state of fryers needing to be deep clean. Other than that great place to have a beer tho.

The boyfriend and I were out cruising on our tandem bike and came across this friend reccomended fish spot. Great guest service from the 2 male bartenders and cook and the walleye was pretty darn good. All you can eat for under 20 bucks. Not too shabby. Drank a delicous "ipa" also. Nice pool table too. All around good time. Thanks Franks! Til next time.....

Best fried fish in town. I almost don't want any more people to know about this hidden gemWheelchair accessibility: You have to climb stairs.

Went for fish Friday.. absolutely unorganized things going on to seat people waiting. Tables were full. No problem...don't mind waiting... Nobody was waiting in front of my group of 6.... These are long tables lined up. As people left groups of two or three. They sat people after us of that size. Now here is the kicker..... By doing in such a way... They actually used two tables up we could have sat at. You see with their system there never would be a table available. Crazy!!! We will never go there again. Customer service. No. Also as we watched as we stood there. It took so long for the customers to get service. Then their orders.

Frank’s Cafe is a basic bar, with basic bar food. I was impressed that they had vegan/vegetarian options. Not many bars do. Our waitress was nice. The food was “ok”. Margarita was “ok” and the Long Island is pre-mixed, so don’t expect a strong pour. The water tastes like pop. Typical bar experience and nothing to write home about. Price was a little on the high side for a bar experience.

My wife, son and myself absolutely LOVED this place. We had heard about Frank's a couple of years ago and then, COVID hit. Thankfully, everything is cool enough to get back out there and mingle, so Frank's was first on our list. What a great place! Everyone was so friendly. The bartenders, the waitstaff, the patrons, both seated and those waiting. We felt like regulars and this was our first visit! The main reason we wanted to try Frank's was the fish. Awesome!!! Light, crispy, mild yet flavorful. It was some of the best fish we'd ever had ANYWHERE! Add some PBR on tap and we were in heaven! My son and wife now love Lake perch and Walleye as much as I do! Thanks Franks! We'll definitely be back!

Walleye was outstanding, and the owner was very personable, and generous, allowing me to sample the grouper. Which was also very good. Thanks for a great experience, can't wait to come back!

Had been going to Frank's for over 40 yrs. Hearing that their fish was same as before, we decided to try it since we had recently moved back to the area. Was quite disappointed. Perch and walleye were both served to us very greasy. Fries and coleslaw were very basic and nothing like it used to be. Very pricey also. Will not return. Sad to see all the old places that were once so good, go downhill

Was here for an Ambassador Meeting with the Chamber of Commerce. The food and service we're top notch. The owner was cooking and doing a great job. They are known for their Fish Dinners and with Lent knocking on the door, I'm sure they will be selling tons of Fish and Chips. They also have great Burgers and Appetizers like Mac and Cheese Bites and their Perogies are very very good as well. A huge hit.

I'm surprised that no one has fallen ill from eating here. And I'm also surprised that this place hasn't been shut down by the health department. Spoke to a former employee that witnessed on more than one occasion questionable hygienic/ food safety practices when preparing food by the owner himself, i.e. handling filthy money with gloves on, and then preparing and handling food with the same contaminated gloves, then have the nerve to charge an outrageous amount of money for the contaminated fare! They tell you to never look inside the kitchen of your favorite restaurant. Truth! Will definitely never be eating here again

I don’t have any pictures of Frank’s Cafe, but let’s be honest. You don’t need them. Here’s the gist: an old house in the middle of a neighborhood with a combination of traditional bar decor and taxidermy. It’s a true Wyandotte institution.I’ve been going here since Mary owned it in the 1990’s for the fish fries. The current owner, Mike, serves delicious fish fries just like Mary used to. It’s a great neighborhood bar worth checking out. Cheap beer, good food, and excellent service. What more could one want?
